This keyboard case is really good. In traditional Apple fashion, it has a very clever design and it is minimalistic in the sense that is folds in such a way that it avoids unnecessary bulk. The keyboard itself is awesome - very responsive and feels natural, as if you were typing on a laptop. The quality of the materials used is excellent, as you would expect from an Apple product. The only thing bad about it is that when you fold it in a way that you have the keyboard hidden and you only want to use it as a stand, it doesn't fold back enough for the screen to be tilted back enough. It ends up being a bit too upright. It would be better if it were to tilt back just a tad more.

Really love this keyboard, in fact I am typing on it right now! Tucks out of the way when you don't need a keyboard and is there when you do. Never have to charge it and is not much bigger than a normal cover.

The Smart Keyboard works just great with your iPad Pro. You don't need to charge it, so you don't to worry about running out of battery. You just attach it to your iPad Pro and you are ready to go. It is light and it just takes a few minutes for you to get used to it. However, there are a couple of downsides. The keyboard does not have a backlit, I just wish next version does have backlit and hopefully the price will go down as well. Also, you can't adjust your iPad Pro at different angles, there is only one. After all, it's a great companion for your iPad Pro. It will protect your screen without adding too much weight and will increase your level of productivity!

I like the keyboard doesn't require batteries or has to be charged. It connected to my IPad easily. The key touch is better than a plastic covered keyboard. All the keys work.

Overall, this keyboard cover is pretty awesome - it's not heavy/bulky like those offered by third party companies, the keys are nicely spaced, and most short keys available on a regular computer work well (like Command C for copy, command A to select all text, etc...). It's also nice that there's no need to worry about Bluetooth syncing or another battery - just connect it magnetically and it works. With that said, it is a bit pricey, and I do wish it were backlit; but regardless, it's the best iPad keyboard I have ever used. It would also be awesome if Apple offered it in more color options.

I really like this keyboard. I anxiously waited for it to be released and I must say it is worth the wait. The reason why it's not 5 stars in my opinion is 1. It does not protect the back, which means I had to purchase the Apple silicone case for another 70 bucks! 2. No backlit keys, which is not all that important to me but would've been a great bonus to the keyboard. All in all, I would still recommend the device. The thing I like best about it is I never have to worry about the keyboard being charged when I'm ready to use it or having to pair it after losing the connection.

Attached to IPad via tenacious magnets. Very comfortable to type on while in the lap. All keys are encapsulated so any spills don’t affect it. Usual Mac keyboard shortcuts work on the iPad using the keyboard. Outstanding iPad accessory, highly recommend.

While there may be other options available for an iPad keyboard, the low profile and ease of use make the Apple Smart Keyboard hard to beat. I like the feel and function of the keys. I use the keyboard daily to update my grade book and attendance that I keep in excel workbooks. I also find it extremely useful when I type documents using "pages" for use with the math classes I teach. Worth price in my opinion - over 6 months of daily use and no issues. If I upgrade to the 10.5 or 12.9 iPad Pro's, I will definitely be purchasing another Smart Keyboard for the new device.

This Apple Smart Keyboard is very good as both a keyboard as well as a stand for my Apple 9.7 inch IPad. It's also very easy to attach to my IPad.

This keyboard and case are the perfect combination for the price. The case is lightweight and has a built in stand. The keyboard can also fold over when not in use. I love it.

This was a 4th keyboard I had purchased, others just didn't compare to the design, weight, ease of putting the iPad into and out of the case.

This is a great keyboard/cover. It's a must have for the iPad Pro. I like that it connects through the ports and not via Bluetooth. I also like that there's no need to charge it, ever. Keys and layout are comfortable. The only thing it's lacking is no backlit keys. If you get this keyboard, be sure to get the silicone case to protect the back and sides of your iPad. This keyboard and that cover fit together perfectly.

Pros: Love the feel of the keys on the keyboard. It's soft yet gives good positive feedback when you type. Nice, minimalist design. Cons: No cover on the back can result in scratches on the ipad aluminum or damage to the exposed camera lens. No ability (that I see) to have the iPad in portrait. Sometimes, when I type in a document I would prefer to have it in portrait mode so I can see more of the documents.

Love the slim design. The keys work very well making typing easy and convenient. Easy to unfold and serves as a horizontal stand.

Not having to charge this is perfect, the smart connector is great and I love the keys. Easy to type, unlike some other keyboards.

After owning a different wireless keyboard I purchased this one. The Apple Smart Keyboard is totally wireless. No charging...EVER! There isn't an on/off button to break either! Turns on when connects to the iPad. There are zero spaces in between keys so that dust and debris particles cannot interfere with the keys. The only complaint that I have is that the magnetic connection could be a little stronger. Other than that I will never have to purchase another keyboard again! Thanks Apple!

The Apple Smart Keyboard was a nice addition to a great ipad. I really love that it is not a blue tooth that draws power off the ipad. The keys feel very nice and get better feeling once you get use to them. The case does not add much extra weight at all. Another nice feature is the ability to pull the case off with one hand and use the ipad as an unobstructed tablet. One thing I would like to see is dedicated row of keys for the ipad, but its no deal breaker. I would recommend this keyboard case to all.

This keyboard is a new addition that anyone would see welcome. It makes the iPad Pro experience much more enjoyable, especially if you are linked to other devices. Being able to put in the credentials to my accounts for an Apple TV was much easier than it would have been (even though it wouldn't have been too much harder connected to an iPad). Nonetheless, I would recommend this keyboard to anyone; it will allow me to use my iPad for school another semester - which helps to save money big time!!

This is a well designed keyboard that is precision engineered for the ipad pro. Fits like a glove, works like a charm.

I purchased this keypad for my wife's iPad that I had just purchased the week before. She had noticed it online and made a few hints. I went to Best Buy in Charlottesville, VA, and demoed the keypad there. The sales person was very helpful. The keys have a firm but easy touch to them and are spaced appropriately enough in proportion to the iPad Pro 9.7. Its not a bulky pad at all and folds up nicely in the cover she had gotten for it as well. She is very pleased with the keypad.
