I was looking for a set of the best monitors out there to refresh my dual monitor home office set up and found these with the Vesa mount (so the can be mounted on adjustable arms to free up desk space). I was a bit freaked out by the price, but I justified it as I spend a ton of time working from home each day, and no longer want sub-standard crap...I, and you, deserve the best. SO, I took the plunge and bought two of these. - THEY ARE the best monitors I've had and will only buy these in the future should these ever crap out. They have built in HD web cams that produce an awesome HD picture, fun fact is the camera will track you, which is cool if you have a sit-stand desk and move a bit. My co-workers on Zoom were asking 'is your cam following you', that's how I realized It was doing it, very cool. The speakers are also GREAT, deep base, very clear, not the crap you find on lower cost monitors. The screen is PERFECT, very crisp, clear, no glare and a very strong glass and print free screen, not the flexible LED crap on other cheaper monitors. This chassis is some sort of metal, thinking stainless, just like the iPhone SOLID. I absolutely love these monitors. I know the are pricey by comparison to the cheaper garbage out there, but, hey, you get what you pay for. 100% no regrets in my book. If you work from home, these are it. OH and did I mention the thunderbolt connections? One simple cable from your computer to your monitor is all you need, sound, charging, picture...you got it all with one cable. LOVE IT.

Very bright picture and well built monitor. Font is very clear on all web pages, no strain on the eyes. This monitor will last for year to come, great investment for sure. Apple studio paired with a dell 27in monitor, dell is great also as a companion.

This display is color accurate out of the box. There were no hoops to jump through. I just plugged my M4 MacBook Pro using the included Thunderbolt cable and it works. The built in speakers are the best I’ve ever heard on a monitor. The microphones are studio quality and the camera is nice.

The Apple Studio Display is a pretty impressive monitor, especially if you're into creative work like design, photo, or video editing. The 5K screen is super sharp with spot-on color accuracy, so it matches up really well with the rest of Apple's lineup. Plus, it's got that sleek, minimalist look with brushed silver aluminum and black bezels that really fits a modern setup.

Great monitor with outstanding color and beautiful display! The solid aluminum body makes for an excellent build quality that you just don’t see on most monitors.

Great monitor, I use it with my Mac Studio everyday!

I was using MacBooks for years. I edit video for work and I finally upgraded to a Mac mini m2 and this monitor. I love it for color grading and always trust the apple eco system for creative work. Beautiful colors and bright.

I bought this Studio Display monitor 8 months ago. After a software update, the monitor stopped working. Apple refused to cover it under warranty, claiming the software is unresponsive and that opening the monitor could cause further damage due to a chip. They quoted $1000 for a screen replacement and repair. I would not recommend this product. It’s Apple, a piece of trash, literally.

After using it for less than a month, my experience has mostly been positive. This monitor is for a very specific group of people that have a need for the features that it offers. General productivity? You can get by with cheaper alternatives. Gaming? Stay FAR away from this. If you have a need for any of the below, then you should give this consideration despite the hefty price. - Sharp text/UI graphics that won't strain your eyes when sitting in front for hours. - One of the few glossy screens for vibrant and accurate colors - Impressive speakers that won't take up space on your desk - A well-built monitor that works well with MacOS for quickly waking your computer from sleep and adjusting brightness. - You don't do any HDR editing or gaming and don't mind the lack of HDR and high refresh rate. As of late 2022, there still aren't many monitors that offer an experience like the Studio Display. You'd either have to go with the cheaper but at-times problematic LG Ultrafine 27" 5K or the very expensive Pro Display XDR. Again for most people, they can probably get by with something like a 27" 4K monitor but if you're looking for a high-end experience, you're unfortunately going to have to pay a premium.

Excellent monitor. Obviously it is not for gaming since it is limited to 60hz but I used a different monitor for that. This monitor is excellent for my WFH setup with a Macbook. It scales perfectly with MacOS and makes the text crystal clear. I noticed when upgrading from a 1080p monitor to this that my eyes are less strained after my workday is done.

Unfortunately, this display is amazing. I held off on buying it because of the price for so many years, and I regret doing that. I have never used a 5K display before, and I was unaware that macOS does not natively scale at 4K. My older 4K monitor looked great, but in comparison, the studio display has such a high pixel density. It doesn't even look like I'm staring at a screen. It's almost like it's backlit paper. The camera is not the best, but it totally works for your average calls, and I actually like the ability to reframe my shot because of the center stage feature. The speakers are amazing, and of course, the build quality is top-notch. I am a huge fan of this display, even though the price is really hard to swallow.

One of the best monitors money can buy. The average HD monitor has 84 PPI (pixels per inch). The more pixels per inch=higher resolution, sharper text, etc. Your average 4k monitor has 163 PPI. This Apple Studio display has a whopping 218 PPI. It is the best monitor I have ever owned. It is extremely crisp and clear. Added bonus is having the webcam and speakers built in. You *can* use it with a PC, but it will require a pci-e card that converts displayport to thunderbolt. That's what I did, and happily using it with my PC for 6 months and couldn't be happier.

The monitor quality is amazing, color and resolution are beautiful.

I had been using dual LG 24" displays for about a year and dual Dell P2715Q 4k displays for several years prior, both sets with a base iMac Pro. The iMac Pro's display is basically this display with a Xeon CPU built in. Now with a Mac Studio I missed the "it just works" simplicity, and purchased two of these Displays with a VESA mount and attached to a Herman-Miller Flo Dual arm set; I still have the iMac Pro, mounted on a Flo arm. The Studio Displays are IMHO a vast improvement over the LG and Dell displays for usability and utility. The color matches with my two laser printers better than the color-calibrated Dell displays. My work style is largely business productivity-based. A Windows 11 Pro VM is displayed on one Display while other macOS tools are displayed on the second display. Auto-rotation is a boon and I no longer need to rely on using the preference app or 3rd-party utilities! Apple's design team created a really nice display for its customers, and I'll admit to waiting for a sale price to make my purchase, and do appreciate Best Buy for making these available locally. My only "regret" lies in not buying the Displays sooner. After using it for around a month my experience has been very positive. The graphics, sound from the speakers, and macOS integration can't be surpassed at this price range.

Excellent choice for a monitor with clear, crisp and beautiful display. A tad expensive but believe worth it, though having to purchase a stand separately may be a put off for some. Just be sure to decide if a VESA mount is something you feel is needed for your setup and daily usage.

Fantastic monitor. Picture, sound and video are great. If you have an Apple M chip computer you will unlikely find anything better.

The screen it self is great. However, I purchased an open box marked "excellent" and it was missing the thunderbolt cable and didn't look like all of the original packaging. I was not satisfied with Best Buy's open box purchasing program and their condition ratings. BestBuy would not refund the difference between the price of "excellent" and "fair", and all of the prices went up after I purchased.

Crisp video and excellent integration with Mac Pro. Speakers work well, and charging my Mac via USB is very convenient. Would be nice to have some USB ports in front. Price point could be better, but no regrets after 6 months.
