It's as easy as plugging it in. No software or drivers to set up. Works just like it says on the box. I cannot help but feel the price could be lower, but Apple is Apple.

I got this for my son when he went off to college. The Wifi at his school is super slow, but they provide ethernet connections to each dorm room. His Macbook Pro didn't have an ethernet adapter, but using this adapter into a Thunderbolt port allowed him to quickly and easily connect to the ethernet and utilize high-speed access for his online classes. It's a bit expensive as all Apple products are, but works well and is high quality.

I use it with my MacBook Air to get a hard wire to connect to the internet when I need a solid connection and this gets the job done. Works just like it's supposed to!

This is great it allows my MacBook to be hardwired and the speed is just great when it’s hardwired.

I am one for hardwire over wireless when transferring massive files. I will say Apple MacBook Pros do a great job of keeping a connection wirelessly, but when not losing a connection for a massive file I recommend hardwiring. This adapter does amazing, and can handle 10 gbps Ethernet. I highly recommend this for that, and to terminal in to switches.

I feel ancient in that I have a 2012 MBP but it’s still firing on all cylinders. I use it for live-streaming and there’s no need to rely on WiFi internet because that can be intermittent at times. This method of having the adapter allows me to still have two USB ports available. So far so good and hopefully I will have a laptop with USB-C in the near future.

Purchased to get a hi-speed and more reliable connection for my macbook pro when in my office. The connector works as advertised and I'm not at the mercy of the sometimes flakey and oversaturated wireless provided in our office building.
