I bought the prior model which was ok and then read about the new one. Returned the old and got the new-wow what a difference. It makes the Roku. Look ancient. It is very versatile, fast and using Siri is really fun. No real directions are included, but I found it highly intuitive. Only problem is that Amazon prime is not in the App Store. Have to revert back to roku for that.

The new Apple TV is worth the purchase cost. Just having the ability to play Apple Music over my stereo was enough for me to buy it. Also the new remote works really well in navigating all of the menus and even for playing the games. If you have the old Apple TV or if you are thinking of getting rid of your cable for streaming services then this is the way to go in my opinion.

Love this Apple TV. You can mirror your phone and your computer to your TV and you can watch your tv with a blue tooth in case someone is sleeping next room. The siri feature makes it easy to look up thins but also the remote control makes going through the letters to look up a program a breeze.

I've been a appletv user for years now. I love this new model, more apps then the previous models, Siri(although i rarely use her), learns the TV remote codes so you can press one button the Apple TV remote to turn on and put the tv to sleep all in the click of 1 button(ok 2 buttons) my biggest complaint is the touch pad. It's a too sensitive, if you pick up the remote while watching tv it just may scroll forward and or backward. I tried to turn down the sensitivity, but nope. Needs a patch or fix make it not so sensitive

Very easy to install and I REALLY like the new remote and integration with the iPhone. Finally Apple TV has grown up! Only problem I have is Apple did not implement 4K into this generation of Apple TV - which to me is a very very huge drawback - but not really. Picture is great even if not 4K. Integration for display of apps and feeds from iPhone or iPad works very very well. Do not bother with the DirectTV add on - Since ATT bought Direct TV it is really become a poorly implemented solution on Apple TV. Direct TV website refuses to work with MAC desktop for example and after trying for a couple hours we gave up trying to get the 30 day trial that came with the apple TV. We like this device enough however we bought a second one and hooked it up!

I am finally able to stream my time capsule without having my computer to be on (Infuse app). The new Apple TV 4 is slightly bigger than the previous generation but can do much more... Having its own App Store makes this device a lot more versatile and upgradable. The remote is also a great addition - I still use my phone to type with the virtual keyboard.

The new and improved Apple TV has a ton of features. Although the remote is thin, the track pad is responsive and works well. Siri function is also very nice. It has all of the normal apps one would want, such as Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc. No Amazon app, of course. I have not tried out the games yet, so cannot comment there. Overall, a good buy!

Apple TV is awesome. It puts numerous apps, movies & shows at your fingertips for easy access. The Siri feature is great and I like how it can search for something across several platforms, ie a movie not just in iTunes but Netflix, Crackle, etc...another great update is the controller works w/o having to just be aimed directly at the control box.

It has been a long wait for Apple to finally release a product like the new Apple TV 4. I highly recommend this item to anyone that currently has a previous model or no model at all! The addition of the App Store in this model is by far phenomenal! The new remote is flawless!

This device is much faster and more polished than the previous models. I also like how you can install apps for tvOS. The moving screensavers are an added bonus. The only drawbacks to this model are the lack of 4k and Apple has decided to remove the optical audio port that I had previously been using. Other than that, it's well worth the upgrade.

My original Apple TV was having some issues and my son said to check out the new one. I am impressed with the improvements and find it worth the investment. Better interface, better app options, better screensavers, better remote (touch pad), better display too. It's all better - better enough to upgrade your old one or buy into Apple TV now!

This newest version of the Apple TV is perfect for my streaming needs. Love the integration of the Siri remote. The voice search option works really well. The new interface is a huge upgrade. The only "con" is the lack of 4k support, which may not matter now but definitely shortens the life of this particular version of Apple TV in the future.

Set up easy and feature set was impressive. Performs great.

I liked my original Apple TV, but this new one is much better. The voice control makes it much easier to find programs I like and the remote is much better. Too bad Best Buy did not give me some trade in on the old model.

I have purchased four (4) of the 3rd generation Apple TV's and have more than got my money's worth out of them. This new one is easier to use once you get used to the trackpad -- after the first 15 minutes or so you'll have it. The ability to download the apps you like simplifies things. I never use Siri on my iPad or iPhone... Siri voice command comes in handy on this new apple tv.

The previous AppleTV was ho-hum and very limited. With the addition of the App Store and Bluetooth controllers, we can now do so much more. Not just movies and TV shows. Now we can pick and it includes things like games and daily burn. It is cheaper than a WiiU, PS4, or X-Box One. With time maybe we can have some of the same games on TVOS.

I've been an Apple TV user (3rd generation) for the last couple of years and found the installation and usage fairly straight-forward and simple. The remote and the interface were easy as well. However, this new (Gen 4) version moves you to a whole new level. It's still easy to install, in fact easier: entering passwords is so much simpler -- simply enter it once and the others are entered by default! And the interface is bigger and more intuitive. AND, the most exciting innovation in Gen 4 is the search function: now I can look for a movie or TV show and it will look in all my favorite channels (Netflix, Showtime, HBO) as well as in Apple's library. Very cool. I highly recommend this product, despite it's rather steep price.

I love the new  TV the fourth generation. Love a new remote control that is less steps to use on screen and finally now I can use apps to choose from. Now I can play games, digital signage, play video from 3rd parties and much more. Can't wait for more apps. I just ordered SteelSeries hand held game controller that I will use for games.

I am very happy with the 4th-generation AppleTV. It was easy enough to download apps. The AirPlay concept allows me not only to throw my laptop's contents on a large screen, but with some apps there and on AppleTV I have been able to cut the cord on my cable, saving about $50/month net while adding a movie channel. I don't miss cable!
