Siri Remote Firmware Update Killed Volume Buttons
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Weeks ago, the latest firmware update for the Siri Remote (0x0070) introduced a critical bug that disables its ability to control a TV's IR volume functioning. The only workaround is to set the remote's IR volume control to Off, restart the Apple TV device, then set the remote's IR volume control back to Auto. This workaround is required every single time the device is powered on. Apple confirms this is firmware issue but has yet to resolve it and, more importantly, will not commit to a fix. DO NOT BUY.
