If you have a Mac and iPhone, this will be amazing for you. I got it mostly for screen mirroring and playing music, but if you have an older smart TV this is also a nice upgrade.

The remote control should be sturdy. It’s too fragil. The section where you place your finger to control it should have a circle or something to show where to put the finger, as wrll as some directional arrows. Too expensive

Easy to hook up, makes your TV an Apple product. Still learning all the purposes and functions, but probably always will be. Remote control could be bigger and better though.

Great upgrade, supports technology in our new TV and the new streaming apps we are connected to, as well as the additional memory and airplay support we were looking for.

The voice control is surprisingly convenient, especially since it replaces typing. Also love using your phone as a remote, and that the Apple TV can turn on and off your tv on its own.

I primarily got this for screen-mirroring my iPad to my TV easily - workouts and photos in particular. Added bonus that it streams from Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+!

Easy to install and set up. I was able to begin viewing shows right away.

The entire family loves to use this device for playing games to watching TV. We got rid of cable and use this to stream all of our shows and movies.

Bought this as a gift and the recipient loves it. Downloads and then uses it in his camper. He is in his 70's and has no problems with the remote.

Got Apple TV so I could view blueprints on a large screen in my office. Works great. I can just swipe the prints from my desktop computer right onto the TV screen this way. Much easier to see!

If you are part of the Apple ecosystem it is seamless to use. I have a smart TV but this works so much better with streaming and mirroring my other apple devices.

Bought new Apple TV to replace older one, and glad I did. The ability to add the apps makes this update even more useful

This is my second apple tv and I use it when I travel and it works great for the size and once you have your apps on it. You can keep up with your shows while on the road or wherever.

Going from the original Apple TV to the newer Apple TV 4K is a nice upgrade. I’m definitely enjoying how much easier the remote is to use. I’m a happy camper and don’t regret the price tag. :)

I loved Apple products. For the ease of use, the interface, the precision of their products, well this new appletv4k is advertised as the most powerful of them all. That power doesn’t mean much when the functionality is compromised. This product does what it wants, first the remote is absolutely unusable, horrible even, it’s all black, doesn’t light up so if you dare push the home button accidentally you are screwed, to fast forward 10 seconds but usually only 5 you have to be a tightrope walker with your fingers by touching the side edge of the remote without hitting the touch sensor mouselike sensor or your place will advance 10 minutes or further, no thought went into this remote design. None. Steve Jobs would be spinning in his grave about just the remote. It has one unique function, if you miss dialogue in a scene you can push the mic button and say “ what did they say?” And it will rewind ten seconds and replay scene with subtitles so you can read what was said. The AppleTV 4k is beautiful looking and the screen savers are the best feature to look at, the resolution is amazing. But you can be watching a show on any streaming app and it will just decide its time to shut off and return to the home screen, there has to be a design flaw that needs to be corrected at once. I have an appletv3 and it is far more convenient, remote is better, the interface is better, I want to move my old apple3 to my 4k tv because of how bad the appletv4k is I don’t care enough for 4k, 1080 beautiful 1080 is fine. I bought the 64 GB memory because you can never have enough storage. But for $199 I am kicking myself for buying this product. I could have an amazon fire TV, and a Roku 4k ultra for less than this one box of crap. And no it is not my internet speed issue, my speed is 80 down which is plenty fast and it is wireless but these glitches shouldn’t happen. This maybe apples worst release of one of their products in along time, and they know it. Often after given a command it spins anspins thinking what the command meant, what is the powerful quad processor doing when the Apple has a brain hemorrhage, it is a frustrating device that I would not recommend to my enemy, do not waste your money on this box, get a Roku 4k I will be as soon as I have the money and probably give the AppleTV 4k to the first taker, it’s that bad. I am at a loss of words to describe how much I dislike this device and it’s functionality. Mine is not a faulty box, it is just that they are all faulty and this item will leave you guessing how they decided $200 is a fair price, it is dumbfounding, skip this item and buy two other 4k items that stream. I am sorry Apple but I was really looking forward to you leading the way in dominance in the new 4k world but your device is possessed and does what it wants. Go back to the drawing board, stop by at Steve Jobs grave, and apologize for making this product, he needs to hear it from you, not us, it sucks. Apple fans won’t like reading this review but this device is garbage and don’t argue me that it is good, it is NOT GOOD. Save your money and buy something else like a TCL flatscreen tv with 4k. I will move my Apple tv3 from my wife’s room and give her the 4k even though she has a 1080 tv. I miss my appletv3 so much, I gave the 4 some time but I hate it more each day. What happened Apple?.what were you thinking, terrible.

Make any TV with HDMI a “smart TV” with tons of features and small footprint. Love this device much more than the Roku boxes I have in other rooms.

Very good device for accessing your streaming services. As you'd expect from Apple, the user experience is excellent and that's the reason you'll pay a premium price.

Provides all our streaming services as well as AppleTV. The touch screen takes a little getting used to, but is easy to use once one gets the hang of it.
