This is another great example of why I generally avoid Apple products. The Apple TV is very sleek looking and like all Apple products I've used it seems to be well made. But who cares if it looks good when its basically an over priced subpar media player in a shiny box. The Apple TV costs between 2-5 times the cost of other well known media players but in my experience it functions worse than the Roku's I've had. It consistently lags. After the first couple of weeks it stopped mirroring the Iphones we had connected to it. It frequently returns errors when trying to access subscription channels which we purchased through itunes. And even though Apple and Itunes are the same company, trying to get support for the subscriptions is impossible. They expect you to contact the channel providers when it is obviously an apple software issue. Overall it was a very disappointing purchase. It gets 3 stars because of the shiny appearance, 1 star for the functionality.

It works good but afterwards I realized I could’ve got a fire stick for a lot less

It’s over priced and not really worth it. The user interface is slightly better than my smart tv but some apps are still missing that Apple won’t allow. There are better cheaper alternatives out there that do a lot much more. My biggest gripe is the horrible remote!

Good product No true 4k on Youtube Hdr is awesome

Takes some getting used to when you’re moving around, hard to control with remote. But I love it.

The interface is terrible, the remote is terrible and the content is the same as a cheap Roku. Buy the Amazon Fire TV cube, its half the price, 4k, Dolby Atmos. This Apple TV was just lame....returned.

The Apple TV is a costly accessory. It will do all that a firestick will do, but it costs so much more. I like using apple TV but once it gets outdated it won't work with updated apple products. The remote works great with your current tv with little to no setup.

I'm sure that the latest Apple TV is a great product IF you have an iPhone. I have owned several (6) of these from a previous generation and was very happy. The latest with a touch pad on the remote and little or no support for using an Android phone during setup was just not worth whatever benefits the product may have over Roku, Amazon Fire, etc. After spending a frustrating two hours working through setting up the device, and several of the apps I already owned, I finally gave up, reset the device and returned it to the store. I am so much happier without this extra complication in my life.

Makes any tv a smart tv, if you like apple products. Puts all your iTunes content or your tv

I love apple products but this one broke and I had to return it. The remote would not pair with the Apple TV after it un paired out the blue. I could not rectify the problem. Decided to use my smart tv for streaming and amazing fire stick. Also decided to get a 4K blue ray player instead of getting another Apple TV.

It is way more than fire stick and for the price should have an Alexa or Siri option

I loved the first and decides to get another. I love them but they are pricey.
