Upgraded to the 4K version and it worked good for a couple months then it started turning on every time I turned on my tv. I didn’t have it set up to turn on automatically every time I turned on my tv or Xbox it would come on and no matter how many times I turned it off it would come back on. So I have to unplug it every time I want to play Xbox. Then after about 4 months it freezes up anytime I watch a movie on Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. I have an iMac, iPhone and iPad. I’ve noticed in the past couple years Apple products have gone down the tubes. Apple used to make cutting edge products now it’s just over priced Chinese garbage.

A fine upgrade to the Apple TV and the 4K HDR is okay, not stellar.

Hey Apple, ever hear of Bluetooth? Sort of a silly rhetorical question, right? I do not think so. With great comfort I gave this product a one-star rating. When it works the way it should, it is very five-star worthy. With this said, I had a disturbing telephone conversation with an Apple tech support person a few days ago, who by the way was extremely professional and tried to be helpful. What upset me is the tech person told me Apple was not aware of the problem I described. I responded with, “Really? Well, the consumers know about it. Just do an internet search on, ‘static noise Apple TV and Bluetooth speakers’.” The idea that Apple does not know about this is poppycock. As an Apple fan I have long appreciated their commitment to quality, and I am in the quality control/quality assurance business. After three decades in this field I understand that in-spite of hard work and commitment to quality, things happen. Its life. However, when Apple pretends to the world they do not know about an inherent problem in a product, they lose me as a supporter. When at home, I am active and move all over and have fallen in love with the ability to move Bluetooth speakers to where I am, or I use headphones. I love it—minus the static cutouts. By the way, the static is present regardless of the distance of the speakers to the unit. It is not signal-strength related. After researching the web and three telephone calls with Apple support, I have tried EVERYTHING to correct this problem: Two new top quality 4K cables, moved the speakers and unit closer to one another, restart, reset, un-pair, re-pair (three different brands and types of Bluetooth speakers by the way), wrapped aluminum foil around all the cables, blah blah blah. This problem began a few months before the warranty expired, but I assumed it was a simple interference problem that I could track down, (thus the first new HDMI cable). Once I understood the problem was with the 4K Apple TV unit, the warranty period had passed. With my quality background, I understand much more acutely than most people that the best products have anomalies. I get it. I buy products with this understanding and make decisions whether I want to purchase an extended warranty. My purchase constitutes an agreement between the manufacture and myself regarding the expected lifespan of the product. I bought this unit without an extended warranty fully conscious of the risk. That’s fine. It was my decision. Just please, please do not insult my intelligence and pretend that this problem is unknown to Apple. That is not an honest commerce agreement. It’s lying. If you own one, are having static issues, and it is still covered by warranty; then assume it is defective and get it replaced TODAY!

The Apple TV is great however there is a bug with Dolby vision if you have an lg oled You will get slight raised black level. Apple has been aware of this and has not been able to fix it for years. Other than that the Apple TV is perfect.

The apple Tv is a good choice for my family, and my daughter love it.

It works good. Mainly use it for YouTube TV. Not much 4k content yet.

I literally have to unplug the device and reboot it on a daily basis. It's pretty ridiculous. The older gen model worked much better, but this has the 4K HDR. Screen quality is good, pretty much had to go with this product because Apple TV gave the free upgrade to 4K on a lot of movies I own.

Purchased this to use overseas and found out there are so many functions it doesn’t allow but Amazon stick does. Looks great and functions well, but limited as it’s locked. Amazon stick can be unlocked easily and watch your favorite shows with Kodi. Maybe the a apple unit can as well.

Couldn't tell if it even worked right. Best Buy sales person said it was never opened, though being sold as open box. Had to call Apple Support, to try to activate, but it was a failure, as they told me it had already been activated.

We purchased as update model and works great. We love Apple TV.

Resented having to upgrade just to get Paramount+. With only an hdmi output had to get an audio extractor to send audio to something besides the tv. Apple TV seriously needs a search function.

Apple TV is a great tool to add additional viewing options

the price is very well worth this camera and for what it does.

This product is okay I hate that you have to have it plugged into the router wish there was a way to use on WiFi but other than that it is great if you don’t have cable.
