If you are planning on running a sound system or Bluetooth speaker off of it, forget it! It has no audio out, and the sound constantly switches back to HDMI forcing you to stop whatever you’re watching,go to settings and change it back to Bluetooth. The voices never match up with what’s on screen. It’s always about a half a second behind. It’s so annoying that I’ve contonplated throwing it into a lake... Do yourself a favor and steer clear of AppleTV until they decide to reinstate the optical out or add a some sort of audio out besides the horrible Bluetooth...

It's fine but the apple id password system is terrible.

Bought the 4k version of Apple tv on June 6th, plugged into a tv, no signal. Tried an Asus monitor, no signal. Tried a different Asus monitor, no signal. Bought a "4k" approved cable June 9th. plugged into a tv, no signal. Tried an Asus monitor, no signal. Tried a different Asus monitor, no signal. Returned both items on June 9th, (30 minutes later). Apple should work on it QA with these devices. Mine was junk.

I hate the remote, it's too sensitive and its not as good as the 3rd gen's remote. Wish I hadn't had to upgrade for the 4k

So pretty unhappy with my Apple TV unit. Netflix and Hulu don’t work often and I’ve tried reset and a few other things. When it works it’s great but when it doesn’t it’s useless. Paying what I paid for this unit it should work.

As usual with Apple products, the remote is designed for aesthetics, not functionality. It took me a good thirty minutes to get this thing set up.

We just got the Apple TV 4K 64GB several weeks ago due to changing streaming requirements. Not sure why but when we watch the ABC news streaming channel, it intermittently plays the sound. The voice goes in and out. On top of that, we often get an error that says no internet connection. However, when we check our internet speeds and other wifi enabled items, there is nothing wrong. As a result, we need to keep unplugging and replugging the cord to the Apple TV a lot. This solves the problem. We are going to return this unit in case it is a lemon.

It does TV fine, but if you want to use your amazon subscription to its fullest, no dice. If you want to use spotify, no dice. Maybee... if Apple decides you can. If you are happy living inside the box Apple defines, this is for you.

My system keeps requiring that I give an authorization code to keep using the new Apple TV. When I do it it works but annoying to have to do this. This did not happen until after the Geek Squad guy left. Now happens about once a week.

Remote broke in 2 weeks and I have to used my old remote.

This product has not worked since we set it up. The picture fades in and out, or the show will glitch while we are watching it. We have had good luck with other streaming products in the past, and should have continued to use them rather than turning to this product instead. Save your money and don't buy this Apple product!

Better if connected directly with my Macbook Pro. In addition, every application (almost all of them) are paid for, Maybe I haven'y try hard enough, since I didn't have the time.

I am really disappointed in this product. I have been a loyal Apple customer for decades. This is the first product I have had major issues with over all those years. I was so excited to replace my old Apple TV 3 with new technology only to find out it doesn’t work well and has many glitches. I have spent countless hours with Apple support trying to fix the problems to no avail. It should have been replaced.

While I love apple this unit does not stay connected or stream well everything else I have connected no problem I’m really disappointed in apple tv

It was hard to get set up, also the remote is not working. not very user friendly. I really like my old one.

Not worth buy, if you have the money get the 4k Instead.

I bought this so that I could stream Xfinity at my lake cottage on my TV using Airplay. Apple service said I could. Didn't know that Comcast blocks that functionality - now I do. Now it's not even as useful as my FireTV stick from Amazon at 1/10th the price. It also needs resetting about every other day. The remote has to be charged pretty often rendering it useless while you're charging. And the swipe pad on the remote is annoyingly unresponsive.

If your planning on using this without any cable it will not work!! One of the associates told me it would work if I didn’t have cable and he was wrong.

I purchased this device several months ago. I turned it on yesterday and had an error message on the screen. I call tech support for apple they said take it to best buy to be fixed. Took it to best buy, nope they won't touch it. It needs to be sent to Apple. Turn around time is at least 10 business days. So I would have been better off buying something cheaper that could have been thrown away if it broke and purchased a new one.

Not worth it! just purchased to be able to airdrop from my phone however, i should have just upgraded my TV. Apple TV selection sucks. Sad but true, don't waste your money like I did.
