Can easily watch TV shows and movies using the apple TV through my iphone without having to purchase cable service.

So easy to set up. Quality of HD is fantastic. Make sure you have either a strong WiFi signal or plug in Ethernet cable.

I love being able to play anything from my iphone,ipad and computer from itunes!! Plus all the extra apps you can use!

It is simple to use and many options to use with it. I use it with my phone and my iPad and my laptop. It is amazing.

I have been watching netflix downloaded movies, as well as renting newer movies from VUDU, on my blue-ray DVD player for a couple of years, so when I decided I wanted to watch other streaming media sources I began researching my options. I came to an easy decision, the Apple TV. Two weeks ago I bought this very cool device that allowed me to watch all my video podcasts, listen to all my iTunes music, and also my downloaded DVDs. I even used my photos as a screensaver. Cupertino's best had come to West Virginia. Bliss! Well, for a while at least. Blissful ness turned a bit sour when I clicked the "upgrade now." My brand new Apple TV suddenly froze the screen. Oh well, I'll look at the directions (1st time ever having to do that for any Apple product) and find out what to do. Hmmm, nothing listed in troubleshooting guide for frozen screen. Oh well, I'll perform the other Apple product method of correction, power down, unplug, replug and reboot. After four times I realized I purchased one of the most rare products sold by Apple, a malfunctioned unit. Ok, I wrapped it back up, took it back to Best Buy and in 3 minutes I had my 2nd Apple TV in the same day. It was disheartening to hear my wife call my Apple TV a piece of junk, especially after I had to re-enter all those passwords AGAIN, but what the hay, I was going to watch Leo Laporte on my 60" TV. NOT! My 2nd brand new Apple TV failed upon update. After telling three different Apple service representatives my problem, I got nothing. Well actually the last gentleman suggested I physically connect my Apple TV to my desktop and restore it. I did and it worked. One more time, I re-entered all the passwords necessary and I have a functioning Apple TV. I will not, however, ever, I say EVER update it. I've even put a sticker on the remote that says, "Do NOT update, under any circumstance." Otherwise, I am 100% satisfied with the Apple TV. Much better than my Bluray and my Roku box. PS, still waiting on an email from Apple.

...love the ability to access extra programming on my ancient non-smart tv. Instructions for set up were easy to follow.

I bought this for myself for Christmas to use on my non-SMART TV. It was very easy to set up and equally as easy to use.

I bought the AppleTv mainly to stream from my iPhone to the TV via AirPlay and it works awesome for what I needed.

I love this little baby. It connects to my iPhone without any wifi and let's me stream the Hulu app on my iPhone right to my flat screen. It's spotty sometimes, but when it connects it's perfect!!!

We got this to watch bible study videos and it is so easy to use. I've never been much of an Apple supporter, but it's growing on me - this stuff works. Airplay is a great thing, and makes it easy for everyone in the house to use. I just need to find time to get iTunes configured so we can use it to browse pictures from our computer.

Replaced my original Apple TV . Installed in less than five minutes. Many new channels and features. Highly reccomend.

It's Apple so it's awesome. Links Mac books, iPhones, iPads, iPods and home macs to tv's. Awesome and it was under $70

We have a HD tv in our livingroom, but it doesn't happen to be a smart TV. We purchased this mainly as a way for our iTune movies to be able to be watched on our TV and not just the computer or iPad. It has turned out to be so much more! We enjoy mostly HULU programs, and movies, as well as HBO NOW, and Netflix. We've only had it a little less than a month and use it all the time -- in fact we rarely watch regular nework / cable programs as scheduled any more! Awesome. Love it.

Great system. Very useful if you want to broadcast something from your phone that you can't pull up on your laptop.
