In my personal opinion I would say the Apple branded USB adapters are a bit over priced, but I would rather pay for the Apple adapter than damage my product by using a 3rd party adapter. On that note, this USB adapter works just like it is supposed to.

I purchased for use as a travel USB Power Adapter. I've had no issues with it and it works perfectly with the second lighting cable I purchased. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that may need a spare or replacement USB Power Adapter.

I am aware that this is NOT the most up to date and powerful adapter ... but it fits the old device that I have. Since I'm not ready to upgrade my old device (because it still works well and meets my needs) I saved money with this adapter. I am thankful that Best Buy still carries items such as this for old fogey's like me!

I purchased this item to take along to the library, restaurants and anywhere out of the home with an electrical outlet to power my iPhone without having to worry about recharging with extended use. Apple accessories are the best for using with other Apple products to avoid any possible problems with compatibility. I recently spent 36 hours in the hospital and had to borrow this item from a nurse in order to use my phone. I’m making sure I’ll never be “stranded” again.
