Great Apple watch but didn't care for the color of the blue band with the gold so I bought the black mash band.

Let me just start off by saying I came to the Apple Watch as a wearable from using Fitbit exclusively for almost 2 years. I had both the Fitbit Flex and Fitbit Charge HR and used each for about a year. I looked into the Apple Watch with the intention of getting more from my wearable in terms of fitness capabilities as well as a more in depth notification system so I will focus mostly on those categories in this review.
DESIGN: My review will not focus on design as it is a personal opinion whether or not you enjoy the looks of the device. I will say however that the device is solidly built and I don't see it falling apart anytime soon. I did have an issue of the digital crown becoming sticky but apple recommends to rinse the crown if this happens and it works like a charm. I did end up buying apple care for it simply because I do run and bike with it and accidents do happen.
FITNESS:
I bought the watch primarily as a fitness wearable. I had read a lot of reviews that condemn the watch for not having GPS and for not being very accurate. I have always carried my phone with me while out running and biking in case something goes wrong so lack of GPS was not an issue to me. As for being accurate as a standalone wearable, I have not had any issues. I did the recommended 20 minutes of calibration which requires you to carry your phone on your activities and once that was complete the watch is extremely accurate. I have been running on a treadmill lately due to coming home from work late and the watch always records within 0.05 when compared to what the treadmill says. I have noticed however that the accuracy suffers slightly when you change your pace significantly but the difference isn't unbearable. As with other reviews I have read the native workout app is extremely lacking. To make up for this I stick to 3rd party apps for outdoor runs and export my indoor runs tracked by the watch to a .tcx file using a 3rd party app so this issue is easily solved. The watch is also a great motivator, unlike the Fitbits I have owned the watch reminds me to be active throughout the day and I find myself more willing to workout with the watch than I did with my Fitbit. Overall, I think the Apple Watch is a great fitness companion that I find is very accurate with the proper calibrating.
NOTIFICATIONS:
The watch app included on all iPhones lets you decided which apps can push notifications to your wrist. You can really tailor what content is displayed to your watch so that you can ensure your watch isn't buzzing constantly while also not having to pull out your phone frequently.
APPS:
I'll start with the native apps like messages and phone. The Workout app like I have mentioned is lacking but this is made up by the ability to use 3rd party apps. The phone app comes in handy if you need to make a quick call without having to pull out your phone. I don't see myself having long conversations on my wrist. Messaging still requires me to pull out my phone for longer responses. It's not like I can just talk to my wrist everytime I get a text at work. I don't personally use many other apps that came with the watch so I won't comment on those too much. In all I've noticed most of the apps do what they advertise.
3RD PARTY APPS:
As expected there are many 3rd party apps available to the watch. Most apps not optimized for WatchOS 2 are rather slow to load but the ones that are optimized load fairly quickly. I only have a few 3rd party apps installed on my watch and all work fairly well.
BATTERY:
The battery for me can easily last the whole day including a 30+ min workout. I usually end the day with about 40-50% of battery left and I'm sure it would be able to last 2 days. The watch charges up fairly quickly. I can get a near a full charge from low percentages in a little over an hour so you can charge your watch while getting ready for the day if you plan on wearing it constantly.
CONCLUSION:
Overall I'm very happy with the Apple Watch and other than a few gripes it works out great for what I need. I'm sure future software updates will make it even more useful everyday. The price is steep for a wearable but if you get lucky enough to find one on sale then it might be more bearable laying down that much money on it. If you already have a Fitbit just know that there is no way to export steps from the Apple Watch to the Fitbit app. The only steps the Fitbit app lets you import and use towards challenges are those recorded by the phone itself. There is also no native sleep tracking but 3rd party apps can provide this ability if wanted. In the end I'm very happy with my purchase.

This has got to be the best smartwatch on the market. One of the features that I love are the Notifications. Now I just glance at my wrist to see incoming messages or emails instead of having to dig into my pocket to get my phone. Very convenient! I also love the design and the compatibility with the iPhone is flawless. the only con I can think of is the battery which during normal use should last an entire day or a little more.

Why do you want an Apple Watch? This watch is amazing for checking notifications, tracking health, and let's be honest...it looks awesome! If you're using it to read the news or scroll Instagram there's a good chance you'll be let down. This is absolutely an accessory...and it is made to be just that. There are some fixes that need to be made, most notably that the watch doesn't always recognize that you're raising your wrist and therefore doesn't wake up. Annoying, but given the overall wow factor and breeze of checking and replying to messages I have to give this 5 stars. You will too if you want in this watch what I was looking for. ...and it definitely grows on you!

I have been debating on this watch since the announcement LAST fall and finally broken down and purchased it yesterday! Firstly, I have ALWAYS worn a watch--have a Citizen watch fetish of sorts--since middle school back in the 80's. So wearing a watch presents no problem for me (unlike some of the reviewers whining about how 'my arm sweats and its uncomfortable'). Wow...just wow!?! This watch weights next to nothing compared to a stainless-steel watch and the sport band is not remotely sweat-inducing. In fact it is really soft and pliable and yet firmly clasps.
Secondly, I am truly glad that I purchased this as it is easily configured and provides an accessible way for me to receive important notifications without getting my phone from my pocket or off my desk--especially important for my line of work.
Lastly, I had no problems installing the ZAGG screen protector (I will add pictures later). It was as easy as installation on the iPhone and gives me the added easy of mind. I also bought the clear bumper guard as I have to move a lot of thins about on a daily basis and I would like to keep my watch in great shape.
TIP--this was provided to me by the Asst. Manager at Best Buy last night--and it is an awesome tip to save battery and avoid unwanted Siri time. Turn the orientation of the phone around. When setting up the configuration, select bezel on left side (then swap your bands to the opposite side). This turns the bezel to the inside of your arm so that your wrist motions to do inadvertently cause Siri to come on repeatedly. And it does not look awkward at all if you set it that way from the beginning.

I love my watch. The color is very classy. I purchased the bigger face because i preferred the size. I do have a small wrist, but it still looks great. I did have a faulty sensor, but Apple took care of the problem immediately. They are wonderful to deal with. When I exercise I love that I can just look at my wrist and forward my songs on my playlist with a touch.

I read many reviews of the Apple watch prior to purchasing. I was a bit reluctant to buy before due to price but did so when it was on sale. I am very happy that I did so. I love the many features and available applications. I wear it constantly and enjoy being detached from my phone knowing I can receive important notifications on my watch.

Love the overall design and size. I find the apple watch very useful in my day to day activities. I'm a long distance walker so the activity and distance features are ideal. I like that the apple watch works well with mode switching on the go pro app and also shooting trigger.

Love the Watch but no Sleep Tracking

I love my Apple watch. When paired with my iPhone, it works seamlessly to keep me in touch and up-to-date without having to constantly pull out my phone. I love seeing my text messages on my wrist and the activity tracking features make this watch worth the price of admission (especially when compared with other activity trackers). When paired with my bluetooth headphones, I have a decent music library with me on my runs without having to take a separate mp3 player or phone with me. Oh, it is also water resistant (wear it in the shower without any problems) and it even tells the time!
The only shortcoming is that the watch does need to be charged overnight. Unlike other activity trackers, this precludes the ability to track my sleep, although that's not a big deal for me as I think that data is somewhat useless anyway. (So I was up three times last night... What can I do about it?)
Oh, the limitation on songs is 2 GB and it does not allow me to use reserved storage for photos for additional songs, which would be a nice feature as I do not store any photos on my watch. (Who wants to look at a 1" photo? Maybe my eyes are just old...)
Everyone in my family has one of these watches and they all love them!

When this gold and blue design came out I knew I couldn't wait to get it. It's looks way better in person compared to any photos you may see on line. The gold is brushed, so doesn't clash with other jewelry. As far as function, I've got no complaints. I use it primarily to track my fitness but it's also very convenient to have for glancing at text messages and emails instead of taking my phone out all of the time. I also like using it to talk when I'm at work and can't hold my phone up to my ear. I wish it would hold charge for longer than a day and charge faster, but that could also be due to the sheer number of push notifications I have set up with it. It may be silly, but the watch face of nature is my favorite because just looking at it is very calming. The Apple watch is a must have.

I compared a lot of other Apple compatible watches before buying this watch. All other watches had minimal apps and less functionality. This costs more but is definitely worth it. The gold aluminum looks like luxury.

Got the Apple 42mm Gold Aluminum Watch with a Blue Sport Band. Had it while before deciding to write a review. I like the Sport Band much better than I thought I would. The watch comes with two sizes of band. It is very easy to remove or swap out a band. On the back of the watch press the small long button next to the band and slide it out. I wipe the band down with soap and water if it gets dirty. You fasten the band by one side of the band down with the pin up, pull the band over and press the band down on the pin. Then you tuck the rest of the band in the loop of the band. I charge my watch every day, but it’s getting so I could go two days. I use it as a watch, to control music from phone and to check notices (call a Glance by Apple) (text, app notices, etc.). It was easy to pair with the phone. I like the notice to stand once an hour. Seem strange, but if you have desk job it is a big help. The health app will track your exercise, walking, running, etc. Not all apps have a version for the watch, but the amount is growing. Some are better than you expect, like when using Maps. As you reach a turn you get a notice (tapping). You can check your heart rate, answer a phone, the list is long. When using the watch as a phone it works pretty well. I had the phone charging in the back room and the watch went off and I was able to get the call. The speaker seems better than that the microphone, but it works well enough for short calls. Normally I wouldn’t buy the first generation of anything from Apple as you know the second one is going to be much better. The Apple was watch was much than I expected and I’m glad I purchased it. If it wasn’t for the pre-Christmas sales, I don’t think I would have brought the watch, but with $100 off it was worth it.

I have not worn a watch in years, but I just could not say no to the Apple Watch. It was a great decision to buy, I love how it works, how it looks, and how it feels. It's also really cool to see people react to how it looks when you go "Dick Tracy" with a phone conversation on your wrist.

This is my first smart watch. First I have purchased a black color 38mm watch which did not look that great. So I went with Midnight Blue with Gold in 42mm. Definitely this looked like different and felt better. It is personal choice of course. I dont want to talk about features. But from the look aspect I like this anytime better than the dull black/great colored ones. Check this out in the store before making a purchase.

The Apple Watch is basically an iPhone on your wrist -- it's somewhat of a replication of your iPhone but in other ways is an extension of it. I was able to almost master use of the device just by reading basic instructions, because once you understand a few basic principles behind how its designed to interact with users it's very intuitive. Probably the best smartwatch on the market and, as usual, a beautiful product.
