A bit of advice before I begin the review, look for the best price, so you can get this price matched at Best Buy. I got this on an amazing sale with Best Buy price matching and I absolutely love it. Having notifications and fitness tracking at all times is awesome, it's almost as if it makes me more active because I want to try to reach my daily calorie goal. I rarely check my phone unless I absolutely have to now. The nylon band looks great in this color, and I personally think it's a good balance between a casual band and a band you would use to special events with. I'm now looking forward to the next software update which is promising to make the watch much faster with some added features. The 42mm watch size is ideal, too, if you have the choice and money, I would choose the 42mm over the 38mm. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

Kudus to Apple for the iwatch....I love it and it's so easy to use. It's also very discrete and I feel like 007 when talking into the watch.

The watch is very handy I work in the restaurant business and I can't always answer my phone so I definitely like the fact that I can see who's calling and I can answer it without having to carry my phone with me

I had purchased the Apple Watch for my wife for Christmas and she seemed to enjoy it for the most part. I had no expectations when purchasing it as I was in need of a watch and figured I'd give it a shot. The appearance is sleek and I've received a number of positive comments from people who like the appearance of the watch and the woven band. The space gray goes well against the black screen and the gray woven band goes well together. As far as functionality goes, there are some very good points to mention. For instance, the myriad of options you have as to what you want the face to look like and the number of options is an excellent feature in my opinion. Initially syncing the phone to my watch was easy and required no effort. The battery life is excellent. After an average day of wearing it, the battery it anywhere from 57% to 67%. Taking calls on the watch can be challenging as the speaker is not as loud as the phone and holding your arm up on the air to speak on it is also a bit much to contend with. The canned text messages you can send are a nice feature, but I haven't found a way to add my own custom responses, which will be great when I can do that as the predefined ones are often not enough. The activity monitor is about worthless as it pertains to the exercise tracking. I've been wearing it at the gym and it picks up zero percent of when I am working out. It only will log when you are walking. Overall, it's a decent watch. I'm not sure if the price is commensurate with the functionality, but over all it's a good watch with a fair amount of options.

You should have an iPhone and not has this accessory to go along with it. You will not regret this purchase.

After my Fitbit died I decided to spend a little more and try the Apple Watch. Since I am a multiple Apple product user including the iPhone I was hoping the watch would be a natural fit and it was. Often my phone is not easily accessible, so calls, messages, alerts, etc. are all available on my wrist plus I can still track my walks as well as monitor additional health data.

I love my Apple Watch, however, my only complaint is that the band is not long enough. I'm a big and tall guy so I need a longer band. If it weren't for that one thing, I'd give the Apple Watch a 5 Star rating, because ecmverything else is awesome!

Now I feel bad for purchasing this product, it hangs a lot, doesn't work sometimes, I so wish I didnt buy this product. Overall it's a faulty one

I was one of those who thought, "I don't need something additional to charge" and "it's just another screen for my phone, lame". I went to Best Buy expecting to buy a fit bit. The sales rep offered me a great deal on an open box, making a 42mm apple watch lower in price than the fit bit. Ok, I'll try it. Style: Obviously it looks great, fit, finish and screen quality are all typical apple quality. It's top notch, elegant, sporty or tough, however you want it to be whenever you want it to be. Function: I love the health tracking. I use the heart app and runtastic to track my sleeping, heart rate and running/jogging. It's easy, very accurate and puts everything where I can see it. I'm also happy with previewing texts, setting things like my Nest, getting alerts etc on my wrist. So easy to see and respond vs pulling out my phone. Negatives: I don't need GPS, I"m not a distance runner but some may miss that and want the new watch which has it. Still tethered to the phone for most functions. Depending on your need and/or expectations; It's hard to go wrong with this product. I wouldn't have paid $500 for it though...No do I think the upgrades in the new watch are worth leveraging. I'd stay with an older watch unless you're a regular distance runner and need the GPS.

Yes it's the older model but with WatchOS 3.0 this Apple Watch was a great deal. I brought this Watch 3 times and returned it but once Apple made some updates to the watch user interface I had to keep the watch and I got it for only $179.99 with coupons and Best Buy points. Yes, I know it does not have GPS or waterproof but I don't plan on going swimming or using the watch without my phone so buying the Apple Watch 2 would cost $399 + taxes $420. If I want to waterproof my Watch there is a case you can buy to use. My phone is also attached to me so not having GPS is not a problem. Also, WatchOS 3.0 now has activation lock so it's linked to your account if it every is stolen. I don't see a reason to buy the Apple Watch 2 yes they say it has a better brightness but this Watch is perfect for me and I can still see it outside so I don't know what the fuss is about.

I bought this as a health tracker. It works great and is very convenient. One issue is that at night I need to charge it and therefore can't measure my sleep. The device is slick and has a great design. It is easy to use and is fun.

I bought this primarily because I wanted a FitBit with more features. I wanted to count my steps, miles walked, etc. I thought the other features might be nice. I love the watch. I can see the incoming text messages and can respond during work to only the important ones. I can also leave my phone elsewhere and be notified if a call is coming in that requires my attention. Too many features to list. Great purchase and zero problems.

I love the 42mm Apple watch. First off, the band is very stylish and the actual watch is very stable and sturdy. It is great for most because you can get right to you're notifications from your wrist and even take calls on it. I would say very few couldn't use an apple watch. The health tracking on it is very good as well. Highly recommended!

It's an awesome addition to my iPhone, not sure if I would pay full price for the watch as the capabilities are limited. Glad I went with the 42mm, as its difficult to sometimes see specific items. Love the convenience of viewing texts, and incoming calls without having to look at the phone. The activity alerts can be annoying at times, but occasionally I need that annoyance to remind me to get up and move. Accidentally submerged it in the washer machine once and it vibrated on my arm to warn me I guess that it didn't like the water, immediately removed my arm, dried it off and no problems. So it's pretty durable in that sense. I do love Apple products and this is probably my least favorite, not saying I don't like it or enjoy it but it's dependent on the phone and a specific distance from the phone. When they come out with one that can operate independently from the phone it will shoot to the top of my list.

Was not expecting too much from a small device as far as taking the place of a phone. It did what I expected it to do with monitoring calls, glancing at text and emails. I was wanting a device to let me know if I needed to get on a phone or a computer but could still continue my day without always pulling out my phone.

The watch is easy to use, convenient and quite stylish. Besides, if you already own an iPhone it will be a seamless transition. Think of the I watch as an adjunct to an already effective tool. It is specially handy if you workout. The apps are endless and it is a great tool that helps you stay organized.
