Any Apple product you get I highly recommend getting AppleCare+. It takes away the anxiety of the "what if's". My biggest mistake was not having it on my old laptop. My teenager (and I repeat teenager) niece and nephew were running around mom's house and ran into a table that held glasses of water and my laptop....to say the least my laptop did not survive and at the time did not have AppleCare. And a sibling that refused to pay for a new one. So that was a lesson learned and ever since I have ALWAYS paid for AppleCare+ on all my apple products. Even down to the fobs. Don't be me, get AppleCare the moment you buy an Apple product!
