Protection for Apple products is a must. JUST DO IT!

I have a 2019 iMac. The fusion drive crashed in Spring 2023. It was replaced. Best Buy indicated the fusion drive was bad after 3.5 weeks of my waiting for it to be returned and 1 week for Best Buy's Geek Squad to restore from my backup drive. They couldn't, so assumed (incorrectly) the fusion drive was still bad. Sent back to Apple. I had one day before Apple Care expired and was told they'd honor the repair because it went bad before it expired. Apple ran their own diagnostic and the fusion drive worked just fine. WELL, I'd installed more memory and rather than fix they sent my computer back to BB and said my newly renewed Apple Care was now invalid. Sigh. I took my computer to a local repair shop and they were able to successfully boot my computer (nothing was wrong this time at all!) and restored from my backup drive. I was not happy with Geek Squad or Apple on this (after the initial replacement of the fusion drive). So, it was a combination of disappointments with the service, mostly from GeekSquad, but also from AppleCare.

If one buys an Apple product, I feel it's a must to have AppleCare+. As a Best Buy Total member I got it for free. That is a huge savings. More than Best Buy Total costs.

This laptop is a well oiled-machine. This machine can run heavy duty apps without blinking. The new M2 chip is worth every dollar. Pair with BestBuy total tech and you'll have piece of mind plus you may be eligible for a small discount.

Get the best buy protection plan. It covers most of your purchases with either apple care or best buy protection with no additional cost outside of the $180 annual fee. You can cancel at any time.

Apple care is a must buy. You will need it at some point or another for something and it will save you hundreds of dollars.

No issues with warranty repairs or replacing the items I have under apple care.

This was the best money spent as I had multiple trips to Apple Care at the Deerfield Store because of problems with my computer. Always got excellent service.

So good so far; was hesitant buying an open box, but this is a powerhouse!

Laptop hasn’t gave me any problems thanks to Apple care makes sure my computer is up to date.

I have to wait to much time for another laptop to be checked
