Fun game but not as much as it looked on the advertisement. Still one of the better switch games so far

Something different and pretty competitive. Mostly play competitive PC games and this is pretty fun; also got pretty good at the game in the small amount of time it was available for. Global test punch didn't offer much but a few modes in small 6-10 people game lobbies but it got it's point around and was an overall success I think. Definitely going to be picking it up when it comes out.

    A surprisingly deep fighting game...

We picked up Arms more on a whim, than anything else. It basically plays like 2 player Super Punch out, with movement controls, with a tiny bit of Street Fighter thrown in with regards to blocks, grabs and special attacks. It is very easy to pick up and play and to get the hang of the controls. It's a pretty fun game for people to just get into and play. Surprisingly, once you get into the game, and really get into the characters, their specials, the differences in the "arms" and you really get the hang of the fighting system, the game becomes more deep than you would expect. There can be some really exciting, intense battles if you have 2 people who know what they are doing. In terms of my rating, I gave it 4 out of 5 (instead of a perfect score) only because the single player game mode, IMO, is not very deep and not that interesting. Think of it more as a training mode or practice mode. Multiplayer is where this game is at and for that, it is quite fun.

Game is simple to learn with motion controls or regular controller. Different game modes and characters make hours of fun anyways not including arm combinations. As a plus the game is still getting free updates with new characters and modes. An amazing new IP by Nintendo.

The game has good standard controls and the motion controls work well. All controllers work with the game. The game has unique characters that all play differently. It has a few other modes, and has multiplayer up to 4 players.

That's the biggest take away from playing this game... IT'S SO MUCH FUN! Great character design. It's one of those games that are easy to play, but hard to master. We love playing as a family in the 4 player modes. Great game!

    ARMS: Bright and Fun

The new fighting game from Nintendo, ARMS, is bright and fun. The character roster is currently limited to 10 fighters, with more available later as free DLC. However, even with just 10 fighters, there is a surprising amount of depth and strategy to the game. You can mix and match different arms, each with different features and effects. Plus, each fighter has unique characteristics that allows the player to form different strategies. While this is a fighting game, it is not like Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, or Tekken. ARMS feels more like Wii Boxing, but with improved graphics, better motion controls (even though you can use other controller options), a solid roster of fighters, and a variety of fun and competitive game modes. If you like fighting games, give ARMS a try.

This game from Nintendo switch is a great game for the fighting genre of games that which Nintendo put out. I bought this game because it is a multiplayer game if you prefer too. You can choose from different fighters, and its really cool game once you learn the game's mechanics down to a tee. Overall alot of fun!!!

Game that Makes Great Use of Joy-Con Controllers!

Arms is a wonderful addition to the Nintendo Switch's library of games. While the concept may seem peculiar to many, the game does a great job of getting you up to speed on how to make use of the joy-cons to maneuver your character. The game can be played with two joy-cons for a more realistic experience, however, you can also pass a joy-con to another and experience the game with a friend or family member (Up to four players can play locally). Motion Controls are not obligatory to experience ARMS but I highly recommend that you utilize the feature which augments the overall experience. There are various game modes to choose from and the inclusion of online battles is sure to lengthen your playtime.

Great game to play with friends and family. I love playing online with my sibling because we get turns playing individually for 1 on 1 or 2 vs 2 with other people. The game has had free updates since launch which include new characters and maps. You can also collect many arms (weapons) and badges to satisfy your achievements heart.

Arms has great fun multiplayer matches and really uses the motion controls of the joy-cons well. It is surprisingly difficult too, which can get frustrating at times, but makes it challenging in a good way.

Since the game was released, it's had regular updates and many of them have fixed important issues. Grinding coins to spend collecting new ARMS for your fighters used to be a chore, but the added badge system rewards you with a hefty amount of coins every time you unlock a badge, of which there are many. Fun new events such as Party Crash mirror events such as the Splatfest in Splatoon and encourage unique ways of playing the game. The motion controls are very fun, but for those who are concerned, turning motion controls off is easy. Overall the game is a great concept, the world is colorful and intriguing, and the gameplay is very fun, with enough content to keep you playing for a long time.

Arms is unique and innovative fighting game, if currently a little light on content. Chances are if you're reading this you already have an idea of how the game plays. The controls are intuitive and work well. The only issue I had is with movement when switching from traditional controls (handheld mode or a pro controller) to the motion controlled Joy Cons. Other than the the controls were intuitive and easy to understand. There's a lot of depth and strategy to the game. It's surprisingly good. Right now there's not a ton of content, but they've promised free updates similar to Splatoon, which had great, free post-launch content. If you're feeling lukewarm about it, you should probably wait until a price drop, but if it looks like exactly the type of game you'd like to play you definitely won't be disappointed.

I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys using the motion controls of the joy-cons. They game is alot of fun and the motions you have to make when playing really brings you into the match. The game has alot of various modes, you can also fight as a team vs team. The online play will kick your butt because there are always someone better out there but that makes it that much more fun in challenge. The game details are very colorful and the music is nice. I do wish the commentator actually had the voice as in the promotion video. In the game it just bleeps lol. You can choose not to use the motion controls however you play at a disadvantage since harder to curve the punches.

I've never played a game like it before. All the critics have been raving and for good reason. This game is so much fun. It's challenging. Never have I been so frustrated with a game at times. The higher difficulty levels can be pretty ridiculous sometimes. But it keeps me coming back for more!! I love that it wasn't a game I simply swept through and added to the archives. There is so much depth although the concept and functionality are relatively easy to pick up and understand. I play this game pretty often, but my brothers-in-law were able to pick it up quick enough after a few games to offer a challenge. A MUST-HAVE in your Switch gaming library. 5/5.
