I give this game a four because it runs kinda bumpy, im gong to give it another try on my friends xbox instead of mine but the gameplay is extremely good and I cannot imagine going a day without playing it. The game sure is really addictive. If you dont have the time to play a game like this you wont get very far. If you are like me and play video games for hours at a time this game is for you. for those of you who play when you get a break from work, school, etc. and can only play for an hour a day, dont buy this game. Only for the more hardcore gamers. I will say though that I will give it a five and to look at my other reviews when I actually do try it on my friends xbox and it works better,
Enjoy.

Assassin's Creed is an outstanding game. This game is graphically amazing, the cities are built so good and realistic it's not even funny. Altair (the main character) moves very fluently it looks real (I believe watching one of the development diaries they said he has over 1000 animations to accomplish this realism). As far as the game play is concerned there are many cities and each one of them huge. There is one problem for the OCD video game players out there, maybe even a reason to get a strategy guide. There are different flags in every city, anywhere from 20 - 100 of each type. Collecting all of each type gives you an achievement. The missions are as a lot of people on here say, repetitive. Although this is true it really does not detract from the storyline and game play of the game. A lot of the repetitiveness is fun to do anyway. Achievements for this game are a lot of fun (except the flag gathering ones) there is a lot of variety on the achievements that make it a lot of fun.

Not just a game... an experience.

Reviews for this game were mixed, and I had hyped this game more than anything else, so I figured I'd be disappointed. When I started playing, the first couple minutes weren't so great, and the "twist" was already revealed, but as soon as I was able to go to the cities, my mind was blown. This game was incredible in its exploration and level design. The detail was amazing, and the actual assassination missions were intense. After awhile, the investigation missions become repetitive, but you're not intended to just run from each mission to the next. Exploring the beautiful cities, running on rooftops, and riding horseback were a blast. The combat was really cool too, even though the ending essentially overused it. Towards the end of the game, all I did was get in constant swordfights, but that didn't flaw my total experience. The game starts shaky, and ends shaky, but everything between is amazing. Definitely worth buying if you like action games like Prince of Persia.

I did in fact enjoy this game. It didn't present a huge challenge to me, and it seemed to become repetitive after a while. It introduces skills to a person one at a time so as to allow them time to master them, and the achievements are reasonable for the most part. The few that I don't care for are the flags, which are just a waste of time unless one is a huge achievement seeker. The graphics are one of the best out there, and the game felt like a pretty good length for its genre and storyline. I just wish they would've come up with different objectives to do in each city, but the game was fun nonetheless.

It was a great game. It has amazing graphics and realistic fighting. The bad part of it is that you have to do the same type of things over and over again.

Incredible graphics, gameplay and storyline. Some feel that the early spoiler when you start to play is a disappointment. I don't think so at all. It's a video game so belief should already be suspended and you should just enjoy the game, which you will.

There's a lot of hype which surrounded the release of Assassin's Creed. The question was whethet it'd be worth the wait.
The answer: yes, but mostly no.
The "social stealth" system they designed for this game is extremely well-implemented. That, combined with breathtaking visuals, are the main reasons to play the game. But it's much akin to Pilotwings 64 in that you can only look at the landscape and do the same things over and over again for just so long.
The controls are very intuitive, and while I never get tired of watching Altair run and climb and fly through the air, the narrative is extremely choppy.
The only way I could think to make the game (which IS that short) go on longer when playing through it was to remove the HUD-compass. Unless turned off, it will, at all times, tell you exactly where to go and how many yards away you are from it.
For a historical exploration / investigation game, that got a bit too easy very quickly. If you do want to play this game, I'd suggest turning it off... but the game doesn't have enough variety for you to want to spend more than 10 or 12 hours working at it.
It's a double-edged sword, and worth playing. Like so many other games, it feels like they built the framework to something special, then didn't deliver. Any Assassin's sequel will probably be an event not to be missed, though.

This is by far one of the best games I have ever played. The graphics will blow you away! The game basically centers around killing someone for the greater good. You have to gather intel on your assassination target. The way you kill the person is entirely up to you. I won't get too in detail about the game play because I don't want to ruin it. The only draw back to this game is that it becomes very repetitive. You find yourself doing the same things to gather information in every city you visit. Other than that this game is awesome.

I bought this game expecting it to be an action game, but it's more of an adventure game. Free roaming of levels is cool, and I liked the many different missions. After about the 3rd assassination, however, it started getting a little repetitive other than the new abilities and such. Good game, but doesn't keep attention very long. Props to Ubisoft, though, for putting such a ground-breaking game out there on the next-gen market.

Great game, fun to play, great graphics. the only downsides were that once you beat it there isn't much else to do and at one point of the game I missed my objective and it took me awhile to find out what I needed to do.

Assassins Creed is a great game for the 360. it has pretty good graphics. the story line is really good to. the game it self is realistic because to become anunomus you actuly need to break the line of sight then hide. the only bad thing is that the fire dosent look very real. but since every person in the game reacts differently to your every move the fire problem isnt so bad because the game already takes up lots of proseser space. all around this game is a must have. i hope thay make a 2nd one.

This is a pretty solid game overall. The only thing that is wrong with the game is the repetitiveness of it. It is actually kind of ridiculous; if you have been in one city you have been in them all basically. Aside from that, it is a really fun game. There are many options that you can do, like jumping from buildings, killing people, exploring etc. The graphics in the cities are much better than I would have thought. All in all this is a good game, but personally I would just rent it.

The game took me about three weeks to beat when i played for about half an hour each night except for the last night when i couldnt wait to finish the game. the game is worth the 60 dollars even without the online multiplayer. then only downside to the game is now i havent picked up the game since the day i beat it. Achievements are good and all of them are obtainable besides getting hidden flags. Such as collect 100 flags in a section of the game. Bottom line is great game.

I think that this game is a great game but my problem I seemed to run into was that every mission is oretty much the same thing over and over again. To make up for the repetition, the grafix, art, and story structure is great. This game id surly a game that is a one time play and after that there is nothing else left to do,but for those that respect a games for there story and t get ready for the sequel, than this is for you, but i would suggest rent then buying.

What looked like a game that could have been game of the year 2007 turned out to be disappointing in the end. What was fun in the beginning turns into a chore the rest of the way.
The story, your a assassin trying to gain his way back into the ranks of a top assassin after being stripped of your rank. If I say anymore it would all just become a spoiler. The gameplay splits into to halfs, the good and the bad. The good; the free running done in the game, being able to run anywhere and climb anything you see fit. The bad; Repetitive missions and bad combat. The missions seem simple enough, gather information on your target by doing various other missions and then kill your target. But the problem is that you do that for almost every target mission with no change throughout the game. Sure the Assassination's may change but it's still the same thing. Now for the combat, it can become easy or hard but either way it's the same result, boring. You can either keep attacking until your enemy forgets to block and kill him, or you can counter his moves and go in for the kill. Not something you want to do for 12 hours is it. As for the presentation, the game does pretty good. The graphics look great and sounds great too.
If you really don't care about all the problems this game has then go ahead and get it. But if I were you I'd find a better game, this is disappointing game.

You play as an assassin in a huge open world environment. You get assassination missions assigned to you where you must go to a town, and perform investigations about your target, and when you have acquired enough knowledge you will be able to complete the assassination.
The levels are huge, and you can just, run, and climb on almost anything. You have to use stealth when running/climbing to avoid being seen by the guards. The game play is pretty fun, the investigation steps have you pick pocket, interrogate, save people under attack by guards, and ease drop on people.
The only bad parts about the game are: the combat is a little lame. You have a one button attack, and the guards block almost every time you attack them, you just have to keep hitting them till they don't block it. The other thing would be that after awhile the missions can get somewhat repetitive.

I really enjoy this game. At first i thought it was going to be you as the character but i was slightly dissapointed when i learned that it is all just memories. All the same it is a very enjoyable game. the gameplay is good. the graphics are great. it can get a bit boring if you play for too long of a length of time at once because you are basically repeating while in the animus(machine that lets you play as your ancestor, the assassin). you basically kill guards, find out info, and kill your target. Then in the real world there is a differentstory going on wich gives it a bit of a twist. All in all i say it is an awsome game and i would definitely get it!
