I’m not going to review the movie itself. The picture quality is 4 out of 5 stars. Video clear. Some background can be soft at times. Unless it’s a brand new 4K scan, it is not gonna be better than this. The audio is full and a nice 5.1

I had stopped by Best Buy to pick up an accessory to round out a Christmas gift and, of course, I can never resist cruising the movie aisle...my kids are into steelbooks and I usually get them one or two every year. This is the first one I have ever bought for myself! I was SUPER excited to find, well, any John Carpenter movie in Steelbook and I would not know these even existed if I hadn't happened to stop in that day. Granted, this is not my favorite John Carpenter movie and I probably will not even open it (I have it on DVD), but the case and artwork are great and it is a limited edition which shows the numbers released which I thought was pretty awesome. I noticed that there was a slot nearby for Escape From New York which was out of stock in store but I was lucky enough to find it here on site. No luck with finding Christine in stock yet, but, I sent pictures of them to my kids...so they know which ones I want for Christmas this year!

Wow man this movie is a beloved blast from my youth that helped shape the movie loving geek that I am proud to be today and it’s actually better than a lot of the special effects laden crape made today; and make no mistake I love good special effects, but I also love them combined with a good or actual script.

Very good movie all an all! Worth seeing if you’re a fan of John Carpenter!! It does have several good action scenes in it. It also has a very strong storyline to it with a very good cast as well!

The perfect addition to my classics collection. Long time favorite and the quality of the steel book just adds to the collectible value.

The Steel Book art is quite beautiful and really stands out on the shelf. It's well made and the movie transfer quality was top notch.

Underrated by a lot of people considering the director and all his works

Such a great movie and so glad that he shot a movie in LA back in the day.

When I was a kid I kept hearing about this movie that was hard to find, until I was old enough to rent it on VHS. I thought the movie was hardcore and still enjoy it today. I mean what can I say, this old cult classic speaks for itself. A good looking movie that was made on a low budget. This new transfer is the best I have ever seen including the sound. This one was absolutely worth it.

Great Steelbook for this film that will align with any other Scream Factory Steelbooks you may have. This early film from John Carpenter is very stylish and unique with a siege story played out with both western and slight supernatural atmosphere as the street gang feels like a force that appears and disappears at will. Solid acting and slick editing highlight a cool film that’s full of extras and a solid A/V presentation!
