I was looking for a sound sleep devise to help quiet my mind when falling asleep and this offered plenty of options for sounds--from natural to "pink" and "white" noise. There is a timer with 2 pre-set increments, or leave it on all night. The sounds are very natural and realistic and the volume varies with the ambient sounds in the room if you choose that setting. Or it can be left at a constant level.

It sounds good and has a lot of options to intensify the sound and increase it. I love the timer option and the train noise is my fav. Wish it wansnt so expensive that's the only reason why I won't give it 5 stars.

This thing is amazing! I swear it hypnotizes me to sleep every night I’m not even joking. Maybe that’s why it was $10?!? I sit it up on my chest of drawers and leave it turned on all night long. It does have a few timer options but I don’t use those. The speaker is on top of the machine so it plays all throughout the room, really canceling out any background sounds. I leave mine on the waterfall sound but also turn on 2 of the features it has to add to the sound. Do yourself a favor and get this!

Compact size, good variety of sounds, easy to operate, love it!

My favorite thing about this is the adaptive feature. It drowns out noises from people in surrounding rooms. My favorite sound is the rain. I highly recommend.

Good long term value plus many sound choices and lights on machine go out after a few seconds when turned on so as to maintain darkness for sleep

The system does exactly what it claims to do and it's a nice, high quality device. Everything works just as described and I had no issues with it. In my case it just didn't help me sleep better. This isn't due to any defect in the system and many others have indicated it did help. It will be dependent on each person's sleep habits and issues. Give it a try as it did help many, just not me.

Love the options for different kinds of sounds and the timer. Definitely a great value.

I sleep with a chronic snoring man. As I'm sure a lot of women do. I really like the options on this machine. There are so many to choose from, my favorite is the rainstorm. Also, the sound will gradually get softer as you fall asleep, so that is a nice feature. I really like it and I'm glad I purchased it.

This product helps me get to sleep. I look forward to using it. The train sound is my favorite. I like the fact that I can have the realistic train whistles, etc. (very faint) if i want them. Wish I would have known about this years ago.

I really like the choice of sounds an levels available on this unit. It was purchased to counter the ticking sound in my ears which keep me awake at night. Since using this unit, I have been able to go to sleep much easier.

I love the sounds on this and you can adjust them to have more noises in each category. It sounds so real not like the recorded ones.

wish I would have had this years ago. my favorite sound is the train. I look forward to going to sleep with it because I go to sleep a lot faster with it than without it.

After reviewing many posts, we decided on this one even though it was more costly. Definitely pleased.

This thing really helps. I didn't think it would at first when my gf said we should get one. But now i don't toss and turn as much throughout the night. Great product.

Not worth what you have to pay for it . Several of the sounds , sound alike. Does offer more sounds than most which would be great if they didn’t sound the same . Really needs more calming sounds . Would not purchase again.

my complaint about this unit is that the recordings are not the best i have seen. the rain one has a loud noise that sounds more like waves crashing into a rock shoreline and no variance in the ocean selection...
