  • Budget JRPG with Art & Soul

    Astria Ascending is a short-to-mid-length old school jrpg. The quality of this game is much better than other budget games, as the character design, music, art/graphics, and battle system are all very good. However, the game feels very small in scale, which is due to the shorter campaign and stricture of the storytelling (you start off with all the characters, lore vs development ratio is too high, etc). All in all, for the small price you’re paying, a Nojima game is well worth a spot in your collection.

    Beautiful 2D side scrolling RPG like Valkyrie Profile. Difficulty is just right.

    There are better jrpgs out there to play. If you have played all of the greats then you'll enjoy this.
