I purchased this as a Christmas present for my son. He's owned various wireless and wired head sets for his PS4. He says this model works and sounds much better. It also seems to be of better build quality so far.

If your looking for the full package in gaming headphones look no further than the Astro A50. I feel like I am in a movie theatre everytime I where them because of the amazing surround sound. Highly recommend

Use these for both gaming on my PS4 and PC and I have been blown away. For strictly gaming, this is one of the best, if not the best, headset money can buy. I had logitech G930's and these blow them out of the water. What I really love is they operate on a higher frequency (5.8ghz) vs the standard 2.4ghz that most wireless headsets, including my G930's, operated on. The 2.4ghz is congested and noisy band since most routers, babe monitors, wireless headsets, Bluetooth headsets, cordless phones, etc operate on that frequency. That led to several headset sync issues on my g930's which was utterly annoying. Of course your location has a lot to do with it, but if you have neighbors chances are their router, among other devices, are transmitting on the 2.4 frequency. With these astros I have not had one single drop off and the audio quality is simply unparalleled!

So, this is the first time a computer peripheral I've purchased actually lasted longer than the warranty, as I've gone through quite a few headsets in particular that had that nagging issue of an earmuff or headband snapping off from cheap plastic construction. With this thing, I've been going for over two years without any issue, whereas the Turtle Beach and Logitec headsets I've had fallen apart after roughly eight to sixteen months. An older version by the time of the review being put out for certain, my only complaints were the light ringing in the right earmuff (when a sound channel is playing but no sound is coming through it creates that odd ringing) which was a known problem with the early A50s, as well as the plastic stand it came with being... less that durable. The hook that was designed to hold up the weight of the headset clearly couldn't after about a year, but it seems that that particular plastic stand has been discontinued from the current A50s. Wireless works well, can walk some distance before it loses signal, but of course you probably won't want to wear it going to the bathroom or to the kitchen, though you probably could without losing signal in a single-story or apartment. The charging cables are alright but on the very short side, as it seems to have been designed exclusively for wireless use, although it functions perfectly plugged in assuming you buy longer cables or keep your head within 3~4 feet from your computer/console. Minor quirks aside, the headset itself has held together well enough that if it dies before I do, I'd probably buy another.

Fantastic quality, have dropped mine at least 3 times with a ding; has normal range for wireless; and battery life seems good. They could be louder, but my real problem is that I can't use them without a computer.. Not that I would NEED to

Be careful cause I returned these 3 times cause they sounded weird and my current 4th pair sounds amazing i didn't give up and now I'm very happy when I used to be mad and sad for the defective ones.

All the headsets I've used were leather ear pads these are cloth and are so much more comfortable, setup is easy and it has great sound and mic quality especially if your friends have Astros as well, the build quality is great all my previous headsets broke from being plastic, however the price is just too much I'd shop around first

As the review summary states, this is the best gaming headset I have purchased. The price point is a bit high so try to catch it on sale.

Works with any system. Great audio quality. No wires. The only gripe I have with them is that they do get a little uncomfortable after a long while. I think they could have padded the head strap a little more.

Did some research before I purchased and really like these headphones. I know they are not audiophile quality but they work great especially when you get great sound and can use these phones on XB1,PS4,and PC

These are wonderful!!! You can hear every move anyone makes which really helps in first person shooter games. The sound is very good.

I was apprehensive about buying this because of the cost but I am glad that I bought it. This is an awesome headset. The sound is better than any that I've tried and that includes the TB and Logitech. The customization is great but what is the kicker is the sound and fit. Very comfortable and the sound can get very loud. It is worth the money but only one drawback. Can't use it with your phone. I would definitely buy it again.

Overall it is a very good gaming headseat. Only downfall is the volume buttons are a little confusing to use but im sure after a few days you'll be able to remember what each button does.

U previously had the turtle beach 800 elite headset. After those went out, I purchased these. I was not a fan of not being able to just plug them in and use them, but the sound quality is good.

I upgrade from turtle beach px5's. The sound on these is much crisper. They are expensive but you get what you pay for. These are great for people that take gaming seriously.

Ridiculously in depth sound! It took a while to pick a set out, among all the different companies and options, but I definitely made the right choice with these headphones!

Once you try Astros you'll never go back to any other headset. I've had 3 other headsets and they don't compare to Astros. These sound amazing and will blow you away.

The ear pads are super comfortable, the sound is the best Ive ever heard on gaming headphones and the mic system (mute, chat, game chat, party chat) is super easy to use

This is by far the best high end headset I have ever used. The sound is so clear and loud enough where it does not ring your ears yet blocks out all outside sounds.

I bought this for Christmas for my girlfriend who is deaf but can hear with hearing aids and she loves it. She says it's comfortable and can hear everything perfectly.
