This little adapter works great on my 2017 VW. It's not the fastest but latency is comparable to my wife's 2023 CR-V factory wireless carplay so I cannot complain.
I would recommend this to a friend

Didn't expect this device to be so simple and easy to connect. Just had to connect and configure once and then it works great. Occasionally I get some breaks in the music, but I think this is the phone Bluetooth issue.

I was hopeful that the AstroAI adapter would work with my 2018 Silverdao, but when I plugged it in it bugged out my head unit and caused it to lock out all Bluetooth devices. I had to go to a dealership and have them hard reset my unit to get it working properly again. I would avoid this product at all costs.
