Good buy for the money

Looked for a basic laptop for Kids at home and this one was on black Friday deal. Runs well, silently and no heat at all. Battery has good duration. Materials feel cheap, the track pad buttons are one piece with tracking area and they feel like cheap toy but other than that good piece of hardware

Got this laptop as a gift for my parents. It does exactly want it was meant to do: basic stuff. Does not seem to lag after I uninstalled all the useless bloatware (the antivirus it came with, different ASUS apps). The screen is ok, the build quality is ok, the keyboard is great, even if it wobbles a tiny bit, the screen hinge is great. For $220 it would have been a good choice. For $139.99 it's a steal!!

Got this for Black Friday. Fortunately I got it online so no waiting in the freezing cold for it. I got it for my two little ones so it's more than enough but be warned if you're looking for a fast or powerful machine, definitely look elsewhere. I will recommend but only if you're looking for something truly basic.

This laptop is worth if you bought during Black Friday for $140. This laptop can be put to use for your daily activities on a computer like working with emails, browsing, watching videos...One another plus is the DVD drive.

Nice looking, light, fast enough. The guy who sold it to me said it would be annoyingly slow but I think he was just trying to get me to buy a move expensive one. I'm very happy with this laptop. Only thing I don't like is the keys don't light up. Other than that I love it.

I bought last year's version of this computer for $199 and it was a great deal then. This past year I got the same model and features for my daughter at the $139 Black Friday price - an excellent deal. Yes it's a budget line computer, but it comes with a lot of features (USB 3.0, HDMI slot, Wi Fi, camera, lots of memory) that make it a fine first computer, especially if you want to use it primarily for school work. This one came preloaded with Windows 10, so we didn't have to go through the upgrade from 8.1. So far, both of us are very pleased with oour computers.

Slow Performance

If this laptop does not come with windows 10, it would have been good. Intel celeron processor is not capable of handling windows 10. So performance is not good. The mouse pad is not good and it is very difficult to left and right click on mouse pad.

I purchased this for my mom for Christmas; she wanted a basic laptop for bill pay, social media, online shopping, and just general purposes. As long as your not doing any heavy multi-media related activities on this laptop you'll be good!

Works great. McAfee needs to be removed due to basic processor. No complaints, this is a laptop used for internet and writing papers.

i got this to replace my ten-year old ibook g4, thinking "anything would be better!" but it freezes on the most basic things. my brother told me to spend the extra money to get one with a faster processor, and i should have listened. if you want to do anything as complicated as copying files from a thumb drive, avoid this computer.

Bought this on Friday and will be returning on Sunday. Used for a couple hours and seemed okay. Tried to get on it later and it froze on the page to enter the password. Called 800 number and told to return that it's probably defective. Price was good at $199, but not taking a chance on another one. Will just return and wait for a deal on another brand.

I have an ASUS desktop system and have been 100% satisfied over the years. I dropped and shattered my tablet so was in the market for something portable. Although a tablet has it's place, I'm just not a big fan and besides, they were twice the price of this laptop. After removing the junk from the start up and killing the apps that run in the background, this thing boots up within a minute and fly's through any of my computing needs.

Cheap and Slow

Wow. Even at $140 this thing is bothering me too much. Yes it is cheap and you get what you pay for. I am returning this because it is so laggy even basic task like word processing. I should have just skipped it but I was enticed with the cheap price tag. It is so cheap that I hate it. I'll probably just buy an iPad mini to do word processing rather than indulge In this slow heavy computer

SLOW AS MOLASSES-DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME

I got this for black Friday for a great deal, but it's not worth the money spent. It's slower than molasses and takes forever just to upload a regular webpage. It freezes and I have to refresh the page just for it to pull up a few minutes later. The design was nice, but the speed just doesn't work. Will be returning.
