I did not think I will get a laptop at this price. Its just for regular work, internet and multimedia. I think for this purpose this is the best product. reasonable price with good memory and hard drive.

Bought this one during Thanksgiving for $139. For this price the laptop is really good. Not good for heavy gamers or where performance is required. But for normal browsing and watching movies it's good.

I purchased this laptop for a family on black Friday for 150 bucks. It works pretty good for the value. I recommend to give it as a gift. Its good to surf the internet and type papers and store photos.

I bought this laptop on Black Friday as a starter laptop for my son. For under $200 you cannot expect much but for a learning laptop this is perfect

Scored this laptop on Black Friday for just over $200! Great build quality and okay specs. The processor isn't strong, but if you put in an SSD in place of the HDD the performance is okay.

I just started windows, the laptop seems to be a little bit slow but I think its still considered to be a good deal I think it worth to pay $150 (windows only worth about $100)

My wife wanted a new laptop for Christmas. She is not a heavy user, mostly word documents and powerpoint and the like, so a really powerful computer was not necessary. When this came up for sale on Black Friday (bought online) I couldn't pass it up. It only comes with 4GB RAM and a slow processor but, again, this should have been fine for what she needed. On Christmas day she opened the laptop, which was the first time I was able to see it also, and she fired it up. Took awhile to get through the initial setup and the forces OS update, over an hour I would say, and she was finally able to start using the laptop. I could tell she wasn't really that impressed. As you might expect, things are not super snappy or fast, but I didn't think they would be. What surprised me is that her 7 year old Thinkpad had a snappier feel. I figured an easy way to rectify this would be to add additional memory and bump it to the max of 8GB. There is only one memory slot so I purchased one 8GB ram module, which only cost $40. I figured I would also just add an SSD while I was at it and, for less than $250, would have one heck of a laptop. The problem is that, for some reason, unlike every other laptop I have ever owned, Asus makes it incredibly difficult to swap out the ram and hard drive. There is no panel on the bottom to open. Instead it requires near a full disassembly of the laptop. By that I mean you have to remove the keyboard, carefully remove the top plastic panel and then start removing items from the inside, including the system board. For whatever reason the memory module is on the underside of the system board, which is why that needs to be removed. So, long story short (too late? ;)) I have to say this laptop is just OK, at least based on the price I paid. Anything much more than that and I would suggest you look elsewhere. This MIGHT be OK for someone just wanting a basic laptop for basic websurfing and the like but do not expect too much from this. In the end we returned it and purchased something with a little more power and that we will be able to keep for awhile.

The black friday price was outstanding. It is faster than a celeron processor, and slower than an i3 processor. Looks nice and screen is very viewable. Good for casual use.

It does everything I need it for. It's kinda slow and don't expect to play games but it handles well enough doing school projects

Great value. For the money I spent (very little) this computer has been phenomenal.

All we needed was the most basic computer as are old one was running so slow. It's a great starter computer for someone who isn't looking for a thousand dollar computer

Wife wanted a laptop to support use of MS office products for home use. Went looking for an inexpensive laptop. This is our second ASUS laptop and so far no complaints

Laptop was more than what I expected, easy to set up and great camera was included, I only wish I had bought a second one as a gift. Great product for the price.

I knew that this bad boy wasn't a top of the line machine. I knew that it had enough power for me to stream Netflix, surf the Web, and do all my tasks I want to do when I'm not sitting in front of my desktop. That's all fine, the thing holding this back from a 5* rating is the integrated touch pad. It's too sensitive as it picks up finger drags across the bottom portions for left- and right-clicking. Other than that, this laptop is perfect for what I need it for.

This is a great laptop! We got it for our son, he is 12 years old and he loves it! I checked it myself first and it's really impressing for that price. He watches you tube videos and plays little games, listens to music (speakers is laud, i didn't expect that). The only thing i don't like that battery is built in, maybe be a problem later when it goes bad and need a replacement.

Was looking for a good laptop at a decent price & luckily stumbled upon this one. It made my wife very pleased Christmas morning! She primarily uses it in conjunction with her Cricut & has had absolutely no problems what-so-ever. From the set-up to the everyday tinkering, it has been right there keeping up with everything she does on it. I would highly recommend this laptop!

Bought the Asus laptop before Black Friday, got a great price. Just use it for Internet surfing, so fast enough for that and a few other things.
