I thought I was getting a good deal with the discounts and took the bait. Anyway, two weeks after the purchase and the laptop barely touched. The screen has developed cracks radiating out from one of the hinges. This is also affecting the behavior of the laptop as it is a touch screen. Now it seems that the computer has taken on a mind of its own. I rarely purchase warranty contracts. This time I did and I am glad. Hopefully, we get the laptop back before my daughter travels to college.

It takes forever to boot, and it is atrocious at even a simple task like opening chrome. I replaced a 7 year old hp all in one after a failed hard drive, and I thought by not buying the cheapest model I would be okay, but I was extremely wrong, and very disappointed

I do understand your disappointment if you are experiencing slow boot up time and performance issue with the laptop. This issue is temporary during the initial WINDOWS setup and before installing cumulative WINDOWS Update, regardless what brand name of computer this may be. This may take a longer time depending on the network traffic from the update server and the stability of your high-speed internet service. Once initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. In order to maintain optimum system stability and performance, cumulative WINDOWS Update needs to be installed periodically. If you are accessing web applications, please make sure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance.
