This laptop is absolutely fantastic. It delivers great performance for the price. There are an immense amount of reviewers claiming this unit is slow which is VERY misleading. While the bootup sequence may take about 1 minute it is by no means a slow laptop. The disclaimer however is this: Please as with any computer purchase you MUST perform all windows updates. I did run into an issue where the windows update could not be initiated. THIS is not a ASUS problem but an OS issue. Simply run troubleshooters and download the appropriate KB files once you gather your pc information. AFTER this steps are completed THEN feel free to customize your pc to your liking and download whatever files you would like. I performed everything in this sequence and have had extremely satisfactory results. There is no dire need for a SSD.

Very light weight, it works perfectly for all my needs. I love the that its a 2 in 1. I also bought the bamboo stylus to go with it, would definitely recommend it. Personally you can't go wrong with an ASUS after all they make the parts for computers.

I still have a lot to learn about using this product, so my review is probably not as accurate as someone who is more technologically sound. It can be temperamental when going back and forth from tablet to computer mode and, while I like the touch screen option, I always want to have access to my mouse and cursor unless I put it in tablet mode. The computer is great for what I purchased it to do.

Looked like a good laptop in the store. It was slow when it was setting up, but I figured it was loading a lot of things. Put some basic programs on it, but not a lot. The speed is mega slow. The worst I have ever experienced. In looking at the Task Manager, the hard drive is showing running 100% of the time, but I see nothing running in the Task Manager that warrants that amount of hard drive activity. I am sorry to say that so far, this is the worst computer I have ever had. What a disappointment. Did a control-alt-delete to bring up the Task Manager before I wrote this reiview. It just now came up - only took a few minutes.

The hard drive truly slows down everything. With the rise of cloud computing , who needs a terabyte anyway? And at 5400rpm. Takes a couple of days to install updates. So here's what to do: Catch it on sale or refurbished/open box. Install another 8GB of Ram, replace the HDD with an SSD, and finally don't bother doing anything with it till Windows is fully updated.

Full disclosure - I have had 3 ASUS laptops total, the previous two lasted me 3 years each which is not bad for a laptop in my opinion. This thing is so much lighter than my old ASUS, the touchscreen is more sensitive and the tablet mode always recognizes when I am flipping the screen over which is something my old laptop had issues with. It's great for my usage needs - school work, writing, and film editing. Not a problem with it yet even though it's unfortunately suffered from a few falls.

Bought this laptop on sale, wouldn't recommend as much otherwise. This is a 5 star laptop if it came with a SSD (solid state) vs magnetic hard drive. Laptop hard drives are extremely slow, even slower than desktop drives. I bought, due to sale, and purchased a SSD for replacing the Hard drive. The SSD I bought included software for laptops plugged in via the USB port. Then the fun, to get to the hard drive of this laptop is very difficult, requires tools to remove the case allowing access and extreme care required due to aluminum construction. Now the SSD is installed, and this laptop is great. If you possess the skill or have Geeksquad upgrade to a SSD, then I would highly recommend the lap top. This laptop replaces older Dell with 15"+ screen. This smaller, lighter laptop is one of reasons I bought. Generation 8 processor and integrated graphics with higher quality display makes a great Laptop.

Easy to use great features. Lightweight and lots of storage

After reading some of the initial reviews I was skeptical but, I could not beat the price for the processor and storage. Start up was slow at 1st after everything was first downloaded but, since then it's been working great. I had to tweak windows 10 to prevent the tablet from going into sleep mode but it was an easy fix.

This 2 in 1 is awesome. Very lite to handle and carry love the touch screen feature and the flip over top or flip under bottom so versatile. This is such an awesome laptop for memory it's like it would take you forever to use up 2TB just unless you downloaded every thing under the sun. It has very fast up and going screens from the minute you turn it on till you turn it off. The colors are so vivid and sharp. You just need to go get you one forget those others like HP or Dell or any others Asus has them beat. GET YOU ONE!!!! TODAY!!!!

The picture quality is excellent and it's easy to use. This is my second Asus, and there has been an improvement in the keyboard. It's also more compact and lighter, and I appreciate that. I got six years out of my last Asus laptop with no problems in the hardware, and I hope this one gives me the same.

At first I was a little skeptical about this purchase, I am not familiar was newer style laptop set ups. Once I talked to a tech person and figured out that somehow my laptop was in "tablet" mode and got that turned off it works exactly like it should and I love the touch screen! Make sure after setting this up you go through and look at all of the pre-installed programs on this and make sure they are something that you need, I found that there were numerous programs that come already installed and were trying to run in the back ground and it was slowing the laptops speed down A LOT. Once I got those uninstalled no problems.

Like it so far. Easy to navigate and use. I do wish I would have looked at it better and gotten a computer with the number keys to the side. However, this one is small and easily portable. The battery has been lasting well without being charged.

My daughter is in love with her new asus touch screen laptop . It has so many great and useful features that she carries it everywhere . I highly recommend this product.

I was looking for a portable smaller notebook compared to my previous notebook purchases that have ranged from 15.6 to 17in at times. The reason why i purchased this 14in model was for the size and features. it provided the latest intel core i5, good amount of ram, good hard drive size and just being super portable. It has upgrade potential with adding additional ram and upgrading the HD to SSD or adding MvNE SSD drive. This laptop is super fast, great and super reliable. this purchase has changed my mind about ultra portable notebooks. I would highly recommend purchasing this computer, you won't be disappointed.

I bought this for husband (eye roll) gave me nothing but grief until he sat down and used it now he LOVES it. I borrowed it for an embroidery digitizing class and the screen is so clear and responsive but small for what I really need he is lucky I really enjoyed using it.
