    No instructions on how to use. No information on how to set up. I can not use it except for email as none of my icons are on the screen and no idea how to get them there. No info on how to sync it with my other computer. I would recommend to a friend as it is a small size ... As long as they know how to use it.

    I purchased this for online college classes for myself. That’s the only thing it’s been used for except I watched a Netflix show once early on. The on button quit working right less than a year after purchasing. I took it in and the geek squad sent it out for repair. This was toward the end of my GS warranty. Once returned, the on button worked, but I started having trouble with it shutting down. My time ran out before I made it back in and I found out the trouble I was having couldn’t be fixed anyway-it is the “blue screen of death.” Less than a year and a half owning it and I need a new computer. Would not recommend.

    The open-box PC would have been a great value, but after using it for a week, the disk drive was unavailable. I lost all my data. Also, ASUS wouldn't let me register it, since the original purchaser had. On a positive note, my local store was very cooperative in helping me exchange it.

    Unfortunately I bought an open box and 3 weeks later it decides when to work. Almost failed a school paper because of it malfunctioning (thank God for my old computer!) I am taking it back tomorrow hopefully they can help fix it.

    The laptop is "ok" but the computer clean up is very bad. Now I have forever stalls and "web page recovery" Please call for a time I can bring it back in again and get it in stalled! Regards, Ron Aumueller

    Computer takes forever to turn on super slow. Wish I could return it but it's passed the 14 days. Don't use it very much that's why I didn't notice how long it took to load until after the 14 days

    This machine is far slower than my old machine (15 years). In fact I can type more than a paragraph ahead of its capacity with my 2 very large fingers. Not at all what I had in mind

      I do understand your disappointment if you are experiencing slow system speed or performance with the laptop. Certainly, the unit was designed to run popular computing applications without compromising system stability and performance. The reboot issue may be experienced and related to a WINDOWS Update, This issue is temporary during the initial WINDOWS setup and before installing cumulative WINDOWS Update, regardless what brand name of computer this may be. This may take a longer time depending on the network traffic from the update server and the stability of your high-speed internet service. Once initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. In order to maintain optimum system stability and performance, cumulative WINDOWS Update needs to be installed periodically. If you are accessing web applications, please make sure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance.     I had high hopes for this laptop, however it did not deliver. It is slow moving and just not what i expected from Asus. Be sure you test thoroughly before buying and be aware of your return window if you end up not liking like we did.

    My granddaughter saved for this computer for college. Purchased on 4-9-18, the software is already out, costing another $100.00. She had 15 days for warranty you’ve got to be kidding she barely used it saving for fall. She was told this is a great computer for her medical studies. Repair people and manager were very rude. So I’m concerned how long before it goes out again, I know you have rules but nothing about this is right especially when I’m trying to teach her how to look for quality and service.

    Purchased this laptop to replace an older Dell. Overall, the ASUS looked like a great computer, had what we needed and the screen and speakers were great. Spent 5 days setting it up, loading our software, getting data restored to the new computer and then started to notice small issues. Microsoft Store would not open, error when trying to use the snipping tool. Other little things kept coming up and it was getting a bit frustrating. Decided to take back to Best Buy and have the Geek Squad take a look. Heard there seems to be an OS issue and this has happened on ASUS computers a few times. Ended up exchanging it for a Dell.

    Keyboard keys failed from the very first use. I should have returned it promptly, but didn't, and ended up stuck with laptop. No replacement part available online.

    I bought this computer after Christmas for my Step Daughter because she needed it for nursing school and would start back on the 16th of January. When she opened it then and started using it - it would go off while she was using it and it was then she noticed a hairline crack in it. She lives in Pittsburgh and took it back to the Best Buy there and they said they couldn't do anything about it. They are responsible for selling me the broken and defective computer. This is a really bad way of doing business and I will never shop at Best Buy again.

      I certainly understand your concern regarding the issue with the touchpad. A recent update might have corrupted the OS and made some software or applications disappeared. The touchpad is a smart device, please allow some time to get use to the multi-touch function of the pad. In order to improve the touchpad responsiveness and stability, please install all recommended WINDOWS Update. If you are accessing web applications, please verify if the laptop has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will affect the responsiveness of the touchpad. Also, try updating the ASUS Smart Gesture utility and try to configure the touchpad within the application.
