    I bought a 14" Asus 2 in 1 (TP410U from another retailer. The brand new computer had a bttery that only lasted 3 1/2 hours. I sent it in for repair and they replaced the battery. The new battery lasted 4 1/2 hours. I sent it in again and they replaced the battery again. this time it lasted 5 hours. This was totally unacceptable for a laptop. Every time, Asus stated the problem as "Battery will not charge' this was not correct. The problem was very short battery life. I repeated this over and over, but they could not seem to understand this simple statement. I sent it for repair again (third time0). I told them to tets the computer and verify that the battery lasteted at least 8-10 hours. Obviously, they did not and sent the computer back. This time the battery lasted 4 1/2 hours. Totally unacceptable. They have repeatedly refused to replace my defective computer. They won't even answer my e-mails anymoreWhen the computer is plugged in, it works well and is a very nice computer, but the customer service and quality of repair service is soooo bad, that I will never buy an Asus comuter again. I have an Asus computer at work and it is very nice. Lucilly I have not had to deal with Asus service. DO NOT BUY ASUS PRODUCTS. Asus Customer Service is Awful!

    I cracked the screen om my old laptop and was not looking forward to shopping for another. The sales representative recommended this one, but I originally wanted a keypad. I tested page loading in the store, and it was light years faster than the one I'd broken, as well as another in the same price range with a slightly older processor. I am so happy I chose this one. It is so efficient with bandwidth and everything is fast. I can't believe how much more I'm getting done just because I'm not waiting for pages to load. FANTASTIC!!! Well worth the price!

    I like the look of the laptop. The computer runs at a decent speed. The keyboard is great. The tablet mode was working perfectly but started acting wonky. I always strain with using the bamboo pen in tablet mode, because my palm would trigger the touch sensor on the screen. The trackpad is awful it tends to do this jumpy thing and does not move smoothly. Also, the sandblasted body is smudge-prone, you will need to put it in a case. I've had the laptop for about 5 months now.

    This laptop purchase was made specifically for our son's education. To allow him the ability to research, download apps, write papers, and etc. The first week I set the laptop up for my son it seemed to run smoothly. The second week I downloaded Office 365® and my son downloaded a few apps and the laptop started slowing down, the screen started freezing, not to mention there are apps that are still attempting to download as of today. I have cancelled a few downloads; however, there a couple that continue. I am not at all satisfied as with this laptop purchase.

    Amazing laptop

    I was hesitant on getting this laptop after reading some of the reviews, however after purchasing this laptop I’m glad I did. Multitasking isn’t a problem at all and doesn’t slow this laptop down at all. I have no problems with it freezing as others stated. I charged it for the 3hrs like it recommended and the battery has lasted me 11 hours. All in all this is a perfect laptop for school and all around browsing. The camera is amazing as well. I already called my classmate/friend and told her to pick one of these up!

    I really wish I had done some research on this laptop before I bought it. This is not the fault of Best Buy but the fault of ASUS. I was smart and bought a warranty plan with Geek Squad. I bought this laptop in March of 2018 and I have had to factory reset it twice myself, have Geek Squad reinstall the hard drive because it was corrupted 4 months after purchase, and bring it in a third time to have Geek Squad tell me "We can't replicate the issue so there's nothing we can do". The issue that time was I was using my laptop for homework, watching some lectures, when all of a sudden it shut off (while plugged in) and would restart itself for two minutes before shutting off and turning back on again. This continued every time I tried to use it and ended up bringing it to IT on campus and they were able to get it to stay on for more than a minute. I ended up finding out that the hardware disconnected from the operating system and would not recognize the system or the battery. A hard factory reset of the system restored its function. I am coming up on a year and I hate myself for being this POS laptop. I traded in a 5 year old laptop that was working perfectly but decided to upgrade because I had the money, I have actually factory reset it two days prior to this review and my laptop is still running 100% on disk and CPU. ASUS also refused to help me and told me to go to Geek Squad and have them fix it. I dropped $600 on a piece of machinery that I absolutely HATE.

    This laptop is decent little 2 in 1 for the price. Believe the reviews when they say it is one of the slowest loading computers from new that I have used. This would normally cause me to write a review of 0 stars. But I knew this going in and replaced the Hard Drive with an SSD. The swap took no time at all, and has made the computer load in no time flat. Check the open box prices, I was able to get one and an SSD for the same price as a new one.

    Purchased this computer yesterday and it's the worst laptop I've ever owned- I've had 6, including another ASUS and several HPs and a Dell. The specs and features are great, especially for the price, but as so many reviews say, performance is crappy. The disk is at 100% usage, on a BRAND NEW laptop and windows updates failed to install after been stuck on zero. Every single app and program takes minutes, sometimes 5 minutes or more to open. I called ASUS tech support and they walked me through disabling certain automatic features. After that, the disk usage was still high and performance still laggy. The tech support person advised me to return the laptop because it appeared to have a faulty hard drive. I guess that says it all. Stay away from this computer if you're looking for a computer that is functional out of the box.

    I purchased this notebook laptop three days ago. Right away when I first turned it on, it was unresponsive and slow. It continuously froze and crashed. So I went back to Best Buy and exchanged it thinking maybe I just got a bad laptop. I exchanged it for the same notebook because I liked the style. But when I got home, it was doing the exact same thing. It keeps freezing and being unresponsive. I’ve had to restart this computer at least four times. Not worth the money!

    DO NOT BUY THIS. ONLY BUY IT IF YOU HAVE PLENTIFUL OF FREE TIME AS ITS HARD DRIVE NEEDS TO BE UPDATED EVERY THREE DAYS. ONLY BUY IF YOU HATE YOURSELF. I have never experienced such stress and emotional pain when it comes to a laptop and I have had my fair share of crappy laptops? There is absolutely no reason why it should be slow a month into use. There is absolute no reason why the mouse disappears every three days. Purchasing this laptop is the greatest regret of my life. I don't care how cheap the price is, it is simply not worth the pain you will put youself too. I regret holding onto this, I started using it a month after I purchased it and finally called quits on my older laptop, but then I had issues literally a couple days in. I thought I could be patient using it, but it's been 2 months and I am already completely over it. If I wasn't so fond of the stickers I have put on the casing, I would resell this laptop for 10 cents because that's all it is worth. If I could demand a refund and additional funds back for the trauma, I would. I have never come across such a pathetic excuse of technology. This purchase has been one of my biggest life regrets.

These issues are temporary during the initial WINDOWS setup and before installing cumulative WINDOWS Update, regardless what brand name of computer this may be.     Great BUT HORRIBLE KEYBOARD

    I've had this laptop for quite some months and I've had to return it twice and ended up keeping it. It runs good, has never frozen on me and all my programs open smoothly, only problem is that my keyboard is forever staying stuck! I reported this issue several times and I keep being ignored. My keys are continuously getting stuck as I am typing, making this extremely uncomfortable and inconvenient when I'm doing homework. It's nice and light, but the keyboard needs a fixture ASAP!

    READ LOTS OF REVIEWS AND CONSIDER THEM CAREFULLY. CHECK CONSUMER REPORTS FOR THEIR RATINGS AND EVALUATION OF THE BRAND. My laptop was a lemon from the start, never functioned correctly, mother board had to be replaced (under warranty) after it completely died, but did not fix the other issues. ASUS refused to help at all, even right after the warranty period, despite the fact that the issues were continued from before the warranty expired. CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY. I will NEVER own another ASUS.

    Hello, I just bough this ASUS Q405UA-B15 from Best Buy. Few observations, the max memory is 8mb no upgrade possible, I spoke with support. I have immediately replace the hard drive with a 500gb Samsung 860 Evo SSD. I used the Apricon cloning to clone the disk. The laptop is fast as lighting.

    Continuous malfunctions

    One month after purchasing this item it gave me continuous problems. The WiFi driver and touch-pad would randomly disappear from the computer and the computer would constantly freeze upon start-up. Also, the battery will now only charge up to 79 percent. I have always been very careful with this computer and have never done anything to warrant battery issues or any other problems. I would never recommend an Asus computer to anyone. No one could even pay me to endure the frustration this computer has given me. In addition, Best Buy and Asus were extremely difficult to work with, even with the computer being under warrant.

    Slow loading times, battery dies very quickly, freezing, and the biggest complaint is the failure to wake from sleep. Constantly having to reboot the laptop because it will not wake from sleep mode.

In order to maintain optimum system stability and performance, cumulative WINDOWS Update needs to be installed periodically. If you are accessing web applications, please make sure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance. Also, clearing internet cache or browsing history will improve system performance. In order to improve or prolong the battery charged time, please try to do a battery calibration manually. To start with, please drain it completely then charge it fully without using the system. Once fully-charged, please use the system, without the AC adapter connected, and drain it completely again. Please repeat the charging process thereafter. Also, please verify if the unit is running with the most current system update and third-party battery draining applications are not running if not in used. In regards to waking up issue from sleep mode, the power button may need to be pressed to wake up the laptop from a deep sleep or hibernate mode.     Worse purchase ever. Rename business Worse Buy.

    Purchased this right before Christmas. Initial setup dragged on for hours before it finally booted up. Recently, I saw a sale on SSD's and so I bought one. The very next day (before installing the SSD) Windows froze up while using. I shut the computer down. Then the laptop would not boot up staying stuck on the ASUS logo screen. When I tried to repair or reset; NOTHING Worked. So, I took it to Best Buy thinking it was within the 90 day range. I'm directed to the geek squad who then try to sell me on a $79 and $159 "deal". $79 to transfer my data to a thumb drive. $159 to send the laptop off for 4 - 5 weeks. ( for something that normally falls under warranty) Oh and when I declined those offers, I was told they could diagnose for free to see if it was a hardware or software issue. I was told if it was a software issue, it was not under warranty because asus only warranties the hardware. I was more dismayed when the manager was just as useless in his response. Thankfully, I left and called ASUS. Suggested first to go to the windows site and download the Creation Tool. Fortunately the HD enclosure I purchased when I bought the SSD was used to extract important files from my computer. Did it myself. Let me just say this has been the most stressful purchase I have ever experienced. Thanks for nothing Best Buy. Or shall I call you WORSE BUY.

    Purchased in May 2017. By August, this laptop was useless. I experienced great speed in the beginning then it continued to crash and become lethargic. I would not recommend this product. I'm still paying for it and now I need to purchase another laptop. Very disappointed.
