For the price, you really can't beat it. It is a Laptop AND a Tablet. Holds battery life nicely. Good graphics. Decent speed too (for the price, it is has a good processor and good memory/RAM). Reliable, and battery life so far has been super! And the touchscreen is EXCELLENT (hard to believe it is so good, for the price!) Sort of like a big Android phone. The apps (not Android, but Chromebook apps - similar in MOST cases, but not all cases) generally work well! NOTE: One annoying thing was that Microsoft's Outlook app on Chromebook is not there (different from Android). So you have to either use the Developer mode, and side-load the Outlook app (which is missing some features - you can read emails, but can't reply), OR, use a more native Chromebook email app. Microsoft needs to get their act together.... In any case, for the price, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tablet/laptop.

There is no way that this has 8gb ram. It is slower than a chromebook I have from 2016. I updated everything right out of the box and it is not my internet connection. Don't waste your money, When google docs takes 20 seconds to load, there is something wrong

I bought this Chromebook for my 6th grade daughter in hopes that the 8G would be able suitable for middle school assignment requirements and beyond lasting into high school. So far this has been a GREAT machine. Super quick, easy to operate, handy screen that flips backwards is actually great for movies or streaming. I didn’t think we would use the flip function, but turns out she loves it! It’s the perfect size, lightweight and easy for her to carry around. Touch screen is fantastic when you can’t steady the mouse (slightly sensitive?). And you just cannot beat the Black Friday price! We are very happy with this purchase!

love it First the good news - at the currently listed sale price of $179, this is likely an outstanding value. The combination of a Core M3-8100Y processor and 8 GB RAM means that the laptop stands up well to even more advanced processing tasks - basic web browsing with multiple tasks (including streaming multiple videos simultaneously) is no issue, and while I haven't loaded it yet, I would expect mainstream Linux apps like LibreOffice to run without any problems. The 360 hinge works very well to convert to a tablet, and while the device is certainly not military grade (and doesn't pretend to be), it definitely appears to be robust enough for routine daily use. As a reminder, this device does not have an integrated HDMI port.

I cannot say enough about this Chromebook. Asus never seems to fail. The touch screen and convertibility is awesome. Integrates seemlessly with my Android phone (Samsung Note 10+). Battery lasts good. Don't have much to complain about. The only issue I have found so far is that the lid is hard to open when closed but I'd rather it be that way than the contrary.

This Chromebook has a solid, durable feel with the metal case. Noticeably better speed in loading apps with the 8GB of memory, and plenty of storage space. Love the ability to switch to the touchscreen. Overall great value for the price. The battery lasts longer than expected too; I can use it for several hours before needing to plug it in.

This is a nice Chromebook that it is priced just right at the "discounted" price of $180 in BestBuy. Having said that, I wouldn't pay a dime more for it. Performance wise, this is completely fine, don't get scared by the bad experience the other reviewer had in terms of speed, a Chromebook like this is not a gaming machine, nor should be used to produce or process any kind of heavy media, this is only good for consuming media with excellent battery life, surf the web and read or compose emails, other than that, not a whole lot more. The only think that keeps me from absolutely loving this machine and it's simplicity, it's the screen, the size and aspect ratio are perfect, it even is full HD, but the backlight is awful, it is not bright even at the highest setting, add more salt by being super reflective, even worse, and this is what I hate the most on cheaper screens on any computer or laptop is this. While people like to measure the screen's quality for it's blacks, I prefer when a screen produces a nice clean white, without any yellowing hue or any other color. And that's an issue that this Chromebook suffers from. I would prefer to pay a little more, and get something with the same specs, but better scréen quality. The second gripe is that it is hard to open the screen if you don't have long enough fingernails. Although this is a minor gripe, it's inconvenient when trying to open the Chromebook without placing it on a table. This Chromebook has a nice touchpad, the keyboard is backlit, and it has one USB-C port on each side, which allows you to charge it from either side. The webcam is just fine, nothing fancy, it just does what it's meant to do. Speakers are on the weaker side, but it has a headphone jack. Like I said at the beginning, it is great at the $180 price point,a dollar more, and you're overpaying, unless you don't mind the poorly backlit screen.

Small but mighty. I am genuinely SHOCKED at how good this laptop is! I bought an open box for less than 200 bucks at Best Buy. Its the fastest loading machine I own. This laptop has replaced my windows machine for everyday use. Graphics are crystal clear. I love Googles interface (Keep, calendar, gmail, etc) on the system. Battery life is SPECTACULAR roughly 7-8 hours depending on the use that means if I forget my charger I dont sweat it even if my battery percentage is at 40% ill have a good 3 hours of use.! Unlike my windows laptop if i forgot my charger you could pretty much forget using it for over an hour or two. People complain about the keys,, however, I'm a touch typist and I have no complaints. The touchscreen is super responsive sometimes i find myself using the screen instead of the mouse trackpad. I haven't ran into any issues yet with this device. I just might switch over to GOOGLE everything!

nothing short of a technological masterpiece. The sleek design and flawless finish immediately caught my eye, but it's the impressive performance that truly stands out. Every task, whether it's multitasking between multiple applications or running graphics-intensive games, is handled with ease and speed. The display offers vibrant colors and sharp details, making every viewing experience a joy. Furthermore, the battery life is commendable, ensuring that I'm powered up for longer durations without constantly reaching for the charger. It has truly outdone themselves with this product, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Highly recommended!

This is a great item for using google docs or just surfing the web. Instant on practically, even from off. Will use power when in standby, but still good for a week or so. The battery life is great when using it. I haven't timed it but, I can do anything I want to do throughout the day and still have battery left over. I have not had any issues at all. 2 in one with a touch screen is nice.

Not a fan of Chromebooks but our twins need them for school. Their old HP books failed, so after some research, we bought two of these on sale at $179. These little units are exceptional for the sale price, a huge upgrade over the HP books. Full touch screen, and everything runs super-snappy, including Roblox, something that was a laggy, frustrating mess for our twins prior to buying these gems. There's a reason they limit you to two per account - buy these units while you can, you will not be disappointed. Great screen, decent memory, a lot to like for the price.

Got it on sale so it was a great value for the price. Has an intel mobile chip which runs fast and cool, no fan so it's silent as well. Screen is sharp and bright enough, great for surfing the web or watching videos, email, etc. Better value if you get it on sale but the performance is still good at regular price compared to other chromebooks in the same range due to the 8gb or RAM and the good CPU. Great battery life.

Replacement For My Dead Surface Pro 4...

I got this on sale and thought I'd give it a try when my similarly spec'd Surface Pro 4 died. Similar processor, 8GB RAM, added a 1TB SD Card to increase storage. This has worked as a replacement for nearly everything that I used my Surface Pro 4 for except for Sim City. Between the standard Android apps, Linux apps, and the Chromebook apps included, this tablet has worked out very well. Battery life has been way better than the Surface Pro 4, getting 8-10 hours on a charge.

Love the tablet. it is heavy compared to others and seems very solid. The 8 gig memory is a must have. I pair a Bluetooth muse. I have traveled internationally with this device. The touch screen is responsive and being able to fold it in half is great for watching tv when abroad. I use this to surfe the web, watch tv, and login to my office remtely without any issue.
