I like Asus so much we have two in the family. The first was a Q504U two years ago and my wife liked it so much I bought this Q505UA for me. I went for 256GB hard drive and 12GB memory. I wanted speed and it is fast. I didn't think I would want the fingerprint reader but I am impressed. I love it. The wifi works fast. I like the backlit keyboard. I would love for the keyboard to stay lit. The weight is light for it's size. It's actually user friendly.

I'm a writer and I also administrative several discord servers. Been having to travel across the country to visit sick family member, and my old tablet wasn't cutting it for running my servers OR creative writing during downtime/air travel/airport waits, etc. My decade-old laptop was a monster, too, and carrying it around was legit killing my back. So husband got me this ASUS laptop and I LOVE it. It's powerful enough for my purposes--word processing, internet, discord, even light gaming, like this thing will run World of Warcraft on lower settings--but it's feather light and easy to trudge through airports with. The touch screen feature is nice, although I don't use it as much. But from what I have used of it, it's robust and responsive, for people who are looking for that kind of thing. Beautifully runs Windows and Office, and does pretty good with lighter gaming. It's fast and it does the job. For people who travel a lot and need something that will handle most work applications, this little laptop is worth it. We got it in a Memorial Day sale special price, too!

I purchased this laptop for a coding boot camp and wanted something that was easy on the wallet but also able to give me enough ram and storage for all of my coding needs. Not only did I get that but because the laptop is using a SS, it boots up a lot faster and barely makes any noise unless it is getting hot and the fan starts to kick in (which still isn't that loud to begin with). My only real complaint so far is the speakers are a little muffled since I guess they are under the actual laptop, which isn't giving it enough room to project sound. Also the battery only seems to last a long time if all your light settings are on low. I think at most with full brightness on everything you'll get a good 4-5 hours of usage.

This is just what I was looking for....a solid state hard drive, which is fast and doesn't get hot. This is for my personal use only, and could probably do way more than what I use it for. It's a learning situation going from Windows 7 to Windows 10, but, I'm getting used to it. The touch screen option is great....I haven't used it as a tablet yet, so I can't comment on that part of it. I've used it to stream Netflix, and the picture comes through very clear. It was between this ASUS and a Lenovo, but, the right side numeric pad sold me on the ASUS because I use it all the time. The back lit keyboard is great in dim light, and then when it isn't back lit, the keyboard is very legible. As a retiree, and not a big techy, I know there is so much more to learn what this laptop has to offer. I would recommend this ASUS to anyone. (Incidentally, the two young men that helped me at Best Buy were very informative and instrumental in helping me find the best laptop to suit my needs.)

Well worth the money in my opinion. It works well with the bamboo pen I also purchased. I love the touch screen. So far the speed is great for what I have needed it for, school work and internet use. The keys are slightly weird at first but you get used to them. I did have one complaint on the keys not being backlit, but it turns out I just had to turn the light up lol!

My wife had not had a computer upgrade for some time, when her laptop crashed she used my tablet for a while until we could get it replaced - and liked in enough that she thought she wanted both. She played with this 2 in 1 at Best Buy and liked it - now after using for several weeks has decided that she doesn't need a tablet after all. Fast processing, great internet connectivity, versatile screen interaction. Well worth the price paid.

Absolutely love my purchase so much. I have been hesitant on buying a new laptop since I haven't liked ANY for so long. I have been looking for a new laptop for years and once finding this one I was set. I wish the storage was larger but this PC still gets the job done. Love it and do recommend it.

My wife was looking for a new laptop. We stumbled across this one in the store in the 'open box' section. It did not appear to have been used at all from what we could tell. I liked the 8 GB of RAM although the hard drive is a little small if you save locally. We tend to save the important work to the cloud these days. Overall though, she likes it.

I love this laptop. It is lightweight and has a great lighted keyboard. I am not very techno-savvy, and the keyboard is pretty self-explanatory ( function keys for example). It was not so expensive as to "break the bank" but it has all the memory and other features I can forsee needing for quite a while. I am very satisfied.

I have enjoyed my new computer. I still have some things to set up and still have some things to learn. I love the size and it hardly weighs nothing. I also love the touch screen. As I have already said, I still have a lot to learn but am enjoying it so far.

15" touch screen, SSD drive & 12 GB RAM; That does the trick. Not to mention back lighted keyboard and premium sound! Had an Asus 12" before that took plenty of abuse. Looks like this one as as well constructed as the other one that lasted me 5 yrs.

This is bar far the best investment I've made in years. I purchased the ASUS - 2-in-1 15.6" Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i5 - 12GB Memory - 256GB Solid State Drive - Light Gray for myself Dec 2018. I am starting Nursing school soon and needed my own personal laptop that I can work on that was functional, had great quality, affordable, and easy to travel with and I have no doubt this computer was the best fit for me. I've been using it alot already for various tasks and I love it. Also the battery life is wonderful!

I would’ve given it a 5 star if the storage would’ve been more than 256g.... I moved up from an old Toshiba Satellite & a $260 HP I bought at Best Buy... the HP was so slow... I didn’t go looking for a SDD... but I researched it and decided to take a shot at it. Glad I did... it comes up fast & processes things quickly. Asus makes a lot of the hard drives in other computers so figured it was a good one to try. I’m so happy I did... it’s fast, quiet (no fan because SDD storage drive don’t need it to stay cool)... so far I don’t need the storage... if you need a lot of storage, this won’t work... but if you need a fast computer and can keep files on an external drive when you fill up the storage... this is the computer for you.... colors are really crisp...I really do love this lappy

I bought this ASUS a month ago. Easy to set up. Love the touch/feel of the keyboard. Back lit keyboard is nice. I like that I can adjust the brightness. The mouse is easy to use though I also use a wireless mouse (creature of habit). Fast startup. Use this for remote work at times - no issues. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. My 4yr old laptop (HP) had a broken hinge so I could no longer open/close it. I bought this ASUS when it wasn't on sale. Luckily it went on sale w/in the 15 day price adjustment period so now I feel like I got a great deal on an awesome laptop. Highly recommend.

Needed a powerful, functional, and affordable laptop for my home office. After looking at a few new models and reading reviews on each, I approached a CS representative and explained what I required (hoped for) and my price range. He immediately took me to the open box section and was able to exceed expectations as he had a $1000 excellent condition open box machine for a 3rd of the price and well.within my desired range. The laptop has been flawless and I have zero regrets with my purchase. Target and Walmart cant do that. Kudos

I really like this laptop. Has lots of storage capacity and memory,. Just the right size and light weight. Can use keyboard or touchscreen.

Love how fast and iffexient the laptop is. I enjoy the touchscreen feature, how it folds into a tablet, and the sound is great.

I bought this Transformer to replace a 4 year old T-100 that got dropped and the screen cracked (not a touch screen anymore). This newer model is faster with much more storage. I use it in the tablet mode to read books and the newspaper. I use it with the keyboard for email, writing and spreadsheets. This is quite versatile and light enough to carry around. I like the support feature on the tablet to stand up on a flat surface to read.

This is a great laptop. I love the performance and its speed. Very light weight to work with.

For last 14 years since I bought nothing but Asus from Best buy. I still have one gaming desktop 12 years later I'm big the military simulation. The secret behind it is using duster regularly. Just like you take care of your 60-in Samsung smart TV You clean it. If you're not familiar with PCS it's very simple All you have do is unscrew one side and just spray the heck out of the inside you'll notice a lot of dust shooting out so you might want to do it near your window. With laptops It's a little more complicated but it won't hurt anything any opening you see flash drive ports CD-ROM the fan on the bottom spray them all out you'll see dust fly out if you take care of the fan and keep it as clean as possible it'll stay quiet and will last forever I've sold my brother a ASUS I bought in 2007 when I was going to upgrade. He still uses it today he has Linux on it and just keeps it on all the time. It has old-fashioned CD-ROM 1 flash drive port and headphone jack that's about it nothing compared to this laptop that I'm referring to that I bought more recently. It's extremely intelligent It's too bad then I'll sell it brand new at Best buy anymore has a solid state high speed USB's Cortana built into it and more.
