Customers commend the 2-in-1 15.6" Touch-Screen Laptop for its excellent touch screen feature, fast performance, and reasonable price. They also appreciate the Windows 10 operating system, good battery life, and suitability for light gaming. However, some users have concerns about the display driver that frequently stops, the laptop being a fingerprint magnet, limited USB ports, and occasional internet connectivity issues.

Like my laptop, great keyboard. Upset with frequent display driver error message and opened window goes blank, but does recover. Had it to Geek Squad and was better but this is a known issue with windows 10 until they have an update to fix it. Not getting error message as frequently but still get it occasionally.

And now I'm a convert! I love how intuitive and responsive the touch screen is when it's in tablet mode, and the backlit keyboard when in laptop mode. I appreciate that the keys have a bit more travel than the other ultra thin laptops that I fiddled with-feels so much better than many that felt like typing on a solid board! I do wish that I was able to adjust settings on the touch pad like I was with my old faithful Toshiba Satellite, but the customizing options are much more limited. Other than that, and the learning curve of Windows 10, I'm thoroughly pleased with my purchase!

I like Asus and I like this computer. I got a good deal on it and like it for what it has to offer. I like the build quality and screen. My biggest complaint is that Best Buy advertises it as being able to upgrade the RAM to 12 GB, but in their Q&A it has Asus saying you cannot upgrade the RAM. This needs to be resolved.

The only thing I would critic about this laptop is that there is no built in CD-ROM drive. I was a little pizzled as CD-ROM drives have always been built into laptops. It was something I didn't think to look for because I assumed the laptop would have it. I bought an external CD-ROM drive for $50 and now everything is kosher.
Besides that little set back the laptop is beautiful. It runs quickly and the picture is clear. I'm not a pro critic but I would recommend this laptop to people. (But would also make sure to mention the CD-ROM situation)

I had spent a few months researching different laptops online (Best Buy, Amazon, etc.) and reading customer reviews, to find the laptop that would be the best for college. Honestly, after reviewing countless laptops online and in a few stores, I didn't find one that got much better customer reviews than this one. I even looked in the slightly higher price range, and still most of those laptops got about the same ratings, or even lower, than this one.
When I first received my laptop, I noticed that one of the pixels is out on the screen. It probably happened in shipping, but still.
Also, it has randomly froze on me about three times now--once when I was playing an MMORPG (which I thought this processor was made for, but whatever) and the other two times I was streaming videos. It's a bit frustrating to have a brand new computer do that.
The USB ports are really difficult to pull out of. I feel like I'm going to break my computer or my flash drive every time I use it. I've given up on trying to pull out my wireless mouse's USB connector. It lives in there now.
The trackpad is also something that is a bit frustrating. It'll often turn itself off if the computer has been in sleep mode or when I open the screen, but it's simple enough to turn it back on. Also, the trackpad could use a better scroll option--as it is right now, you have to have one finger held down on it while another finger scrolls on the far right of the pad, but it is really slow and doesn't hold for very long. It's really annoying. I usually end up zooming the screen in or out instead--kind of dumb.
Also, the power button and the volume button on the side are a bit difficult to push--I have to use my fingernail and really push on them.
Other than all that, the image quality is nice, the sound quality is decent. The backlit keyboard feature is really nice, considering I share a room with a roommate, so I don't keep her up with a light. And, of course, the 1TB is AWESOME. I have all of my school assignments saved to it as well as Blade & Soul and they have barely made a dent in the storage.
All in all, this computer could definitely use some improvements, and could probably be sold for a bit of a cheaper price, but it gets the job done and definitely has it's good qualities.
And, again, I wasn't finding much with better ratings.

Frustrating Touchpad, Disappointing Speakers

Overall it's an ok 2 in 1, but I don't like the touchpad. I don't recall seeing anywhere that the entire touchpad is split up the middle to function as "left/right" mouse. After a month it is still a challenge to only click the left side, as most of us are accustomed to. Also, the speakers are a huge disappointment even at max. You can forget about trying to watch a movie on it or playing music without hooking up to an external device. And there are only 2 USB ports. Also, this new computer is at least as slow as my last laptop after 4 years of use/photo storage, etc. I am going to exchange it for something better that's on sale.

I'm enjoying this machine so far. The touchpad is touchy - but the screen touch is very good. I can't see many people running this in tablet mode as it is heavy, but otherwise the machine is great. Backlit keyboard is nice, actual 10 key (with a small 0 but managable). Good machine.

I am a little old school , I still like having a DVD/cd drive in my laptop, but as that is old school I still think this is. Great performing little machine, I have had no issues at all with it. It came out of the box ready to go and it has not slowe down even once.

Purchased based on reviews and the excellent price I was able to get the 2-in-1 for. Physically, it is well made but there are several shortcomings. Biggest complaint, the battery lasted for ahout 3 hours after a full charge, way to short of you ask me. The keyboard layout was not great, seems like the # pad was too close to the letters. On the plus side, the screen was fantastic and so was the touch screen. However, my biggest complaint had to do with Windows 10. Very glitchy. Also, don't be fooled, Microsoft didn't start fresh. It's just another cosmetic change with many windows 7 & 8 features hidden, lurking below the surface. Constantly had a video driver error and Windows and apps would freeze intermittently. Don't know if it was the hardware or software but it was not that fast. It has the 6th gen Intel chip but I was not impressed with its performance and I didn't do much more than surfing. Very slow. In the end, I had to return it. Wasnt worth the $

The Internet stops frequently. And after having it for a week I had to take it back to the store to be fixed. I would most likely buy a different lap next time.

Great for our college student! Has everything that she needs for a reasonable price. After 5 weeks the touchscreen stopped working...we took it into be serviced and they were unsure why or how to fix it so we were given a new one on the spot. So far so good!

After problems with the first one I bought, sound card making noise, BBuy took it back and the second one has been fine. The WiFi antennae is apparently a bit weak, my cell phone got better reception until I upgraded to a new router. You're stuck with Win 10, better than 8.1 but it's still MSoft with their worthless help pages and strange quirks. Nice lighted keyboard and good feel. I added a wireless mouse since I hate touch pads. Seems like this laptop is a little expensive compared to other brands with similar specs that I see on sale now. I would recommend to a friend that they first check out a few other brands as well, but one could do worse than this ASUS.

I purchased this laptop because my old one died on me. The price was a little bit much but after having it for a month I can say every penny was worth it. Love the touch screen and convertible flip hinge. A downfall is that fingerprints will show up everywhere but other than it I would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

I wanted a larger laptop to sit on my lap because for me personally it is easier to do work on the couch that way. I like having a larger keyboard and number pad also. I was looking for a laptop with space and speed and the above mentioned details. This is the laptop I found and fell in love with. It has worked great for me as a laptop.
Brand wise I was looking for Dell or ASUS because of past personal/general knowledge of these being good laptops. I chosent the ASUS because it looked alot sleeker and seemed to be built more sturdier than the Dell laptops I saw in the store.
I have not used it in tablet mode because I have a tablet and haven't had a reason to use my laptop that way. I wasn't looking for a tablet laptop hybrid but it seemed that most laptops were this way so prices weren't much different between brands. (Besides ridiculously priced apple products and a couple others).
