Excellent Product, Price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Asus - 2-in-1 15.6 Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 12GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive - Aluminum Black so far is top of the mark. I purchased this product to install a premium music studio package. Time will tell as I have to learn how to navigate this massive software. However if anything fails I'm sure it won't be because of the laptop. (if you know what I mean)

Get the Warranty!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After just 1 year the plastic encasing cracked (which would've required a replacement of the entire flimsy plastic encasing) - it's a 2 in 1 and i couldn't even use it as that anymore! Then after the 2 year mark, the computer stopped allowing power through the charging port (the battery was fine)! But by then the encasing was so shattered from an additional year of use after the initial encasing crack, that i just needed to get a new computer. I ended up getting the newest model, but I made sure to get the 3 year warranty this time around. Because in no world should a laptop be completely unusable after only 2 years.

Good Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop functions fine except we receive errors with the graphics card. I believe this is not a problem with the computer so much as our limited knowledge of the working of Windows 10. Overall we are satisfied with this laptop.

Meets my expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a new laptop for work and home. This one met my requirements. Boots up quickly, downloads great with the right internet, and love the back light. The touch screen is pretty sensitive which can be a pain when someone else is looking at the screen with you and they point at something! Need to warn them.

Just what I needed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted something portable with enough juice for a power user that always seems to have 10 things open at once. After explaining this to the associate, he pointed at the Asus and said here! He was right! I love it! Thanks, BestBuy!

Nice Laptop, but could be a little better.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I have only had it a few days to turn it on and set it up for a Christmas present. Here are my notes: 1. Screen is a little dim, but if you turn off the auto setting, it gets a little better. But for the price I would have like to see it a little more brighter. Mine was up to 100% when it looked dim. It is clear when playing videos.... 2. Speakers are loud. So no problem with them. 3. Touch pad is So-So, a little hard when clicking. 4. Hard drive 1TB 5400 RPM is a little noisy now and then can hear it spinning. It is also a little slow. I would suggest upgrading to a SSD. I did and here are some specs. Original drive boot to login screen 20 secs. Login to desktop ready 25 secs. New SSD drive Boot to login screen 9.4 secs. Login to desktop ready about 5 secs. So that being said if you want to replace the Hard drive or do any kind of upgrade, they don't make it easy 10 screws and you must pop the whole bottom off. If you replace the hard drive add another 8 screws. 5. The power plus is pretty big, kinda looks like a small Apple TV box. 6. The notebook is pretty heavy over 5 lbs, can travel with it, but you will feel it. 7. The case is nice looking sleek black, but you will see finger prints all over it. So if you don't care no problem, but if you don't like that, steer clear of this laptop. 8. When you open it and boot up expect to spend hours doing windows updates. Over all looks like a nice Laptop, good price I got mine on sale and it will easily do what I need it to. I will test it more after Christmas and update a review on programs..... Hope this helps and good luck. I would recommend it for the price and what you get, but I would 100% put the SSD drive in.

Ok - seems a little expensive for problems
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Trackpad combo is horrible, was able to eventually slow down the response it down so I could type a document without too many mistakes and mouse jumping all over the place. Few bugs in the system \ windows. Asus cloud storage never upload my files correctly so can't use . External speaker never worked. Due to the memory and the Intel 7 the performance seems acceptable. The extra programs that came as a package were pretty cool. Probably won't purchase an ASUS product again.

Returned after three weeks!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Salesperson described this product as the "Lexus" of laptops! (I drive a Lexus and it performs a helluva lot better than this product!) Had to return product after 3 weeks! When I opened the laptop & after I entered my password, the screen went black! You could see the cursor move around , but nothing else! When I returned it to store, even the Geek Squad manager was mystified! Was not willing to deal with this nonsense every few weeks, so I returned the product...performed more like a Cobalt!!!

Works great so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned this Asus Laptop about two months. It has been working fine. The only thing that I don't like so much is the hard drive noise is a little bit too loud.

Good Computer - Frustrating Customer Service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The computer has been good. However, after the installation of Windows 10 there have been some issues with the touchpad scrolling. I ready through their online guide and still could not get it to work. I know I am computer illiterate, but I can follow instructions. I tried emailing them, but the system would never let my email through and their were no work arounds.

so far, it is excellent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only had this for a short time but so far it is has exceeded my expectations. The display is beautiful. I use a prgram that requires 3d rendering of floor plans. It works very nice.

A top-tier laptop at bestbuy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay I am usually not the type to write reviews but I've been following reviews/updates for this laptop for over a month. I bought it around Christmas and the first ideal thing about this laptop was the price. For what it's packing it's worth the investment to be your companion for hopefully a long time. Pros: - Great backlit keyboard with three levels of lighting - 3-4 hours of battery life - Windows 10 Home in case anyone wanted to know the exact version of windows 10 it has - 12 GB RAM with the latest gen processor - Graphics card - runs skyrim perfectly!! - Screen resolution is truly amazing - Around 15-25 second boot up time - Lot's of hard drive space - Comes with a subwoofer/speaker that works well! Also comes with a wiping cloth to clean touch screen - Disk drive works - USB 3.0 is very fast - Asus logo on the back of screen is backlight which is awesome!! I upgraded to Windows 10 Education but if you install all the latest updates that should eliminate some of the bugs I encountered when I first used it: Cons: - Microsoft Edge browser wouldn't boot up properly with my first use - Had some issues with the search box in Windows 10 with first use too - updates resolve everything - Removed a fair amount of bloatware (based on my personal preference) - Have to really customize settings so the computer doesn't do it's own thing (start-up, automatic updates, system maintenance, scans etc) - Need to update graphics driver once you start using it since there are a fair amount of critical updates to be installed, that will probably resolve any graphics problems you may have with first use, install NVIDIA Experience any you'll be good - The webcam is pretty poor sadly, I would recommend buying a HD one for $30-50 - The power supply is a brick for the outlet so I bought a 2ft extension cable to resolve that - Don't think the RAM is upgradeable after speaking with ASUS Support on the phone but it comes with 12 out of 16GB RAM which is pretty good It's a solid weight, seems like it can tolerate a lot. But with cold weather the laptop can get cold. After a few minutes of use it warms up. Regarding the noise that people hear it's probably the hard drive, I heard the noise when I first used mine but after doing all the critical windows 10 updates and disk cleanup, defrag, the noise stopped permanently. Hardly any noise from it except the fan which is quiet for the most part. I hardly use it in tablet form since it's such a powerful laptop but it does bend all the way back and seems to have a well-built hinge. Built-in speakers work great and connections via HDMI to external devices perfectly. Take advantage of this laptop when it's the right opportunity to buy it!! I have high standards for technology and I spent quite some time searching for a modern, powerful, but semi-casual laptop at an affordable price and this will not let you down. Feel free to ask me any questions by commenting back.

Good for school/office work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I highly do not recommend gaming on this laptop or any laptop in general, but for school work and all that, it is possibly one of the best.

Laptop stopped working within 1 month
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very disappointed in this product. I had the laptop in my care for 30 days. Because I work out of town, I could not return it right away. So because it is after the 15 or 30 day policy (don't know which it is) I cannot get a new laptop. I paid approximately $1200 for this item. Definitely not happy with BestBuy!

An awesome two in one laptop for general use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review..This is my very first laptop that I've ever owned first hand and it's a wonderful device. A quick review: +Runs very fast +High quality build +Great speakers, bonus subwoofer that comes with it is nice +Couldn't ask for a better display (1080p) +As a 2 in 1 it's great for watching Netflix or playing touch screen games while folded with the keyboard disabled +Very little bloatware which was easy to remove +The keyboard and touchpad are both very easy to use and haven't given me any trouble in terms of design. It even has a full number pad if you need one -The case picks up fingerprints that I've found are hard to remove. The screen however is very easy to clean -Built in Intel graphics software slows down the context menu (right click on desktop), but this can be removed using regedit -The part of the power adapter that plugs into the wall is absurdly large, you may have a hard time finding space for it, especially on a power strip -The Nvidia 940m isn't a very strong graphics card, the only game I've tested so far is World of Warcraft and anything better than average settings would make it run below 60fps. Even the lowest anti-aliasing modes turned on made the fps take a hit -Not really a con but it is a little heavy, if you're looking for something lightweight this probably isn't your computer -The thrown in subwoofer is wired, you'd think at this price point they'd just give you a bluetooth one In depth I didn't realize just how handy having a two in one was until I finally had it at home, in my lap, watching Netflix - I was using an 8" tablet for watching Netflix on the go or in bed and it always turned into a huge hassle; I'd either hold it which wasn't comfortable or I'd try to awkwardly create a stand for it using my bed covers which never quite worked well and usually ended up covering the speakers. Aaand then I got this laptop. The screen is so big that watching video on it is incredibly comfortable, and with it being a two in one, you have the option to use the keyboard as a stand. This makes it perfect for watching with it in your lap whether you're sitting with it in your lap or laying down. This computer has completely replaced my android tablet, and if the graphics card were just a little stronger, it would probably replace my desktop as well. Windows 10 is perfect for touchscreen use and when you put it into tablet mode this computer basically becomes a tablet with a built in stand but with the power of a full windows laptop. Getting into how the computer runs - it does so very smoothly. Literally the only time it ever seemed slow was when I would right click on the desktop and bring up the context menu, but I found out that that was being caused by some preinstalled Intel graphics software which gives you some options to change things like the display resolution from the right click menu. You can easily get rid of those options using regedit and the context menu will appear instantly when you right click from then on. There's also very little bloatware that comes with the computer - half of the software that I removed were apps that come with all copies of Windows 10. I think I removed maybe two or three programs that were 'extras' installed by the manufacturer and they were very easy to remove. Some people may even find them useful. Then we get to the gpu - it's not all that great to be perfectly honest. If you're looking for a gaming laptop in this price range, you can probably find one with a better gpu - though you'd more than likely lose out on the 2 in 1 feature. I've used it to play WoW and it can run smoothly at 60fps with anti aliasing and shadows turned off, with Good draw distance and most other settings set to Good or Ultra. Keep in mind that this was in the starting zones just as a test to see how it runs, since WoW is the only PC game I play and I'm not currently subscribed. Overall I look forward to using this laptop religiously and will update this if I run into any issues
