I was drawn to this setup due to the 2 in 1 setup, 6th gen i7, skylake chipset, number pad, and of course it's price point. Out of the box the speed was not that impressive given it's specs... hence the 4 stars. However, I upgraded the stock HDD to an SSD from my old laptop and she came alive. I think it literally boots in under 5 seconds. If you own this computer and you do not upgrade to an SSD you are missing out. If you plan on purchasing, factor in the cost of an SDD if you actually want t take advantage of the processing power you are paying for.

This laptop has handled everything that I throw at it. I am not a light user either. Was video editing and putting a power point together with 20 windows in the background. I was pushing about 8 gb of ram usage and this laptop still took everything I threw at it with ease. This is the best laptop I have owned to date. I just came from an hp. This laptop has an amazing screen, amazing cpu. The laptop is made of metal which is awesome. This laptop will please and amaze anyone who needs it. Especially with the dedicated graphics card. Battery lasts about 2-3 hours on high performance.

I bought this computer as an early birthday gift to myself and I absolutely love it! I previously had a Toshiba that was around $250 when I bought it in late 2014. This is by far the nicest computer I've ever bought and have no regrets. My Toshiba ran on Windows 8 which had many features that I wasn't too fond of, but I'm really enjoying Windows 10. I use this computer mainly for nursing school but I'm on it constantly for all kinds of things. I really love the 2-in-1 and the touchscreen is great. The only thing I have noticed is the screen is slightly darker than I would like, even when on it's highest setting. When I watch a movie/show on it in a room that is bright it's very difficult to see during darker scenes. It also doesn't help that the screen isn't matte, so I'm basically just looking at myself when the screen is so dark. Other than that this computer is perfect. Oh, and the subwoofer makes the sound so rich!! Would definitely recommend.

I like everything about this computer except there is a bug with the graphics card or I have a bad one. It chokes when even when using Facebook. The screen keeps going blank for a few seconds as one scrolls down the postings even without clicking on an actual clip. When surfing the web I kept getting hiccups and then a display would pop up in the right corner about "the display adapter failing and windows was able to recover". Does anyone know what this problem might be or do I have a bad graphics card?

Nice laptop. Very useful. Good for the price. Good for homework and some games.

I use this laptop for business and personal use, and I just have to say that you cant go wrong with this laptop. Bulk video editing, programming, and games are a breeze for this beast.

Took first less expensive Asus laptop back. All kinds of problems. Got this one same graphic recovered, screen flashing. Was going to take it back. Called Asus support team. He had me take it back to factory settings. It then updated back updates. Now works perfect. Such a great laptop. Now to learn all bout it. If yours has problems do this and it will be wonderful. Some you just have to hold start button down for 30 seconds and it will update and fix the problem. I use it mainly as a tablet. It is spoiling me.

I recently purchased this laptop for school and on the side some gaming. Ultimately if your going to use this for work or school it should be perfect. If you want to play modern games smoothly, don't buy it . It struggles with games like metro last light and Battlefield 3. It definitely wont handle anything new. Again Don't buy for gaming

This computer is well built and sturdy it has brilliant screen and I love the functionality of it , it's very fast and sound is good as well perhaps one of the best computers I've owned to date.

I've had this for a little over 3 months and the more I use it, the more I really like it! Set it in tablet mode and flipped/stood it up to use with a PowerPoint presentation - made things way easier! Snappy response, more than enough memory and storage.

I was skeptical at first when I purchased this product because I'm a Toshiba lover myself. But I was surprised at how much I love this laptop! My only complaint is the glare that bothers my eyes whenever I'm using the laptop in a brightly lit room. I suppose an anti-glare screen cover could solve this and I think that's something that a sales person should suggest when selling this product.

I'm a school teacher, this was a great purchase for my work. I like the touch screen, and it is very fast and reliable.

I purchased this computer approximately 2 weeks ago as a Christmas present to myself "and my bonus splurge." I have always purchased Toshiba laptops in the past. In fact, I have probably owned about 10 Toshiba laptops in my life. This year, I had heard that Toshiba quality has dropped a little. So, I thought I would check reviews and get some word of mouth recommendations to possibly move away from Toshiba. The decision I made based on those inputs was to try this ASUS Q552U. The specifications looked promising with the i7 and 12 GB memory and 1 TB hard drive. Well, so far, its been one of the worse computers I have ever purchased. It under performs my 2 year old Toshiba which was an i5 processor, 8 TB of memory and a 750 GB hard drive. My experience with this ASUS started off with a failed shutdown which took me 2 days to figure out. This was the very first shutdown I did so not a good sign. It comes with a little external speaker, "not sure why" which doesn't really seem to do anything. It is much slower than my old Toshiba and seems to be full of goofy little annoying display freezes, mouse freezes, and pop up messages that I have no idea what they mean. So, overall, its been a disappointment for me. I am going to check my paperwork and see if I can return it just based on "I don't like it." I also loaded office on this computer so I will have to figure out how to get that off this computer and onto a new "TOSHIBA." beings I already paid for the office software. Summary, its slower than my old i5 computer, the display seems to lag and freeze, it has goofy pop-up messages and an external speaker that doesn't do anything. Way too much money to spend on this. Very disappointed.

After reading all of the great reviews and seeing the great specs on this ASUS, I was sure it was the laptop for me. I spoke with one of the sales reps at the local BestBuy and he also pointed me to this Asus, so I made the decision to purchase. They were out of stock at the store, so I had it shipped to my house. Right out of the box, this computer would lock up just while navigating Facebook and Youtube. The screen would occasionally go black, and I'd have to restart it to unlock it. After a couple of days, I went ahead and returned it to Best Buy.

Everything about this computer is fantastic. Bought it for work, so needed something fast as well as sturdy, fully loaded and with a good feel. Got all that.

After spending hours setting this laptop up, I was hopeful this was my new reliable business computer. It worked fine until today, when the power went out and wouldn't come back on. No amount of charging or creative ideas worked. This one is going back and I won't be buying it again. Really disappointed....
