This ASUS model has been around a while. I've had one for quite a few years with no issues. I needed a second monitor to make 'working from home' easier and decided I wanted a matching monitor so I purchased the same one. Nothing fancy about this model - just a nice screen, basic setting features, and certainly reliable. If I ever need another 24" monitor, I would definitely buy another one of these.

Instructions could be better for hooking the monitor up to a Surface.

I initially hooked up the monitor using a dvi since I didn't have an hdmi to hdmi mini for my graphics card. Using the dvi, the screen would darken and lighten on websites when surfing different pages and tabs. Once I got the hdmi cable, this issue went away. I would not recommend this for dvi use as the screen changes get really annoying. It does look good now that the hdmi is hooked up.

I bought this monitor to use with my existing set up. I like it better than the Dell monitor.

A great monitor. I don't put it through too much stress. Mostly spreadsheets and email.

I bought the Asus VS248H-P based on the numerous positive reviews on many other sites. From the reviews, the display was great and had no ghosting. (If I do notice ghosting down the line, I'll probably try some better cables as the ones supplied only support 60Hz) Some reviews commented on wobbly stands. The stand itself is good. The monitor does move a little when you use the buttons, but that's only because you're exerting a momentary force on the edge of a cantilevered system. It has a vesa mount if you want to use a different stand system. It has 3 different video inputs. Wished it had speakers and/or 1200 lines, but for the price, I really can't complain. On average, I'm looking at this display around 12 hours a day, very comfortable. Videos are great. It came with 1 dead pixel, but really just looks like a fleck of dust, not worth trying to exchange. Unfortunately, this product was only available online from BB, but had prompt delivery.

I purchased this for my son...he likes to play games a lot....and he and his friends loves the Asus widescreen monitor the best...

I bought this monitor as a gift for my husband. I gave him my old gaming desktop, but I had always had the same old 19" monitor, which actually I think was even smaller than that. This monitor is AMAZING. Large, beautiful display. Bright screen, great for gaming, he just loves it to death. I don't know how we lived with the old one for so long. This really is a top of the line monitor, and I got it for a really great price. Great buy.

This monitor works AMAZINGLY with my desktop. High quality, amazing speed, amazing design, if your looking for a great monitor with amazing performance this monitor is the one for you!

Like i mentioned earlier, the picture quality is exactly what you'd expect given the specs. looks sleek, and the buttons are under the monitor, so the look isn't affected. overall great value, especially if you snag it when its on sale.

Being budget minded and wanting a 23 to 24 inch monitor led me to this one. I read reviews on many monitors and felt fairly certain this one would be right for me. It was easy to set up and the width of the screen is phenomenal. The picture is brilliant. When I open a Word file it displays the pages side by side therefore I can view my document more efficiently. I am very pleased with this monitor. However, the clerk at Best Buy was all business. He may have been new. He could use a little work on his people skills. Although he was somewhat straightforward he seemed to be pretty up to standard on his products.

Bought this as a third monitor. As a database admin you can never have enough screen space. This monitor works great with my others and matched the color and style of my other monitors. My main focus was price and I am very satisfied with the quality for the price!

...and I can't seem to get the adjustments down to make it look "correct". Though I am trying to match it a 5 year old LCD made by Hanns G. And to be honest that is probably my problem. Other than that I would recommend this product, just get it on sale

I own a Samsung monitor and I thought I would try the ASUS based on reviews. Boy, was I wrong. This Monitor is not good compared to Samsung. For one thing, the image or desktop picture does not go to the entire length of the screen. I have a black space approx. 1/2" around the desktop. I cant stretch it to fit. Not happy and will never purchase one of these monitors again.
