A: In order for the speakers to work, you either have to use HDMI or run a speaker cable to the monitor.
Q: Possibly Buying this for gaming
A: To date, I have not detected ANY input lag when hooked to my PC (which is more sensitive to lag than a console), using a keyboard, mouse, wired logitech controller or wireless 360 controller.
Q: Can it connect to a hp AMD desktop computer?
A: Yes, as long as that computer has either an HDMI, D-Sub, or DVI-D port it can be used with this monitor.
