After adding m.2 and swapping ram this thing is amazing. temps are expected. And the Gpu has the specs of the Radeon Rx 6850m XT but instead of 145w i can pull 180w. Thermal limitation makes it sit at about 168w with the internal Gpu running together at about 18w. I use it for battlefield and it’s perfect. Ryzen controller can keep temps down but the Gpu hotspot throttles softly at 100c when the Gpu temp is between 80c and 82c, so it protects itself from high temp quite well. The ram swap is a must. The first thing I encountered after the purchase was a problem with wifi. We often turned off wifi throughout the house, until I found out that this was a problem with my laptop, I tried installing drivers of different versions, the problem did not go away and I decided to just buy a normal wifi module that cost me only $ 20. I don't understand why they decided to save on this. Even problems with the video driver. First, the software recommended by the manufacturer was installed. But with this software there were problems in games. In the end, I installed the drivers that AMD itself recommends. I have been playing games that are not particularly demanding for a long time and everything suited me. Then I started playing PUBG. Here I encountered crashes from the game, the termination of the video driver. I dealt with this problem for a long time, checking the RAM for errors. In the end, the solution was to remove all applications from ASUS. Yes, it helped. But I needed to return the backlight control and I installed MyASUS back. I would also like to add that when AMD Noise Suppression is enabled, games start to freeze, so I cannot use this feature. As a result, if you buy this laptop, then you should immediately replace the wifi module, remove all applications from ASUS (perhaps a complete reinstallation will help, but it seems to me that ARMORY CRATE has a conflict with AMD Software), and update all drivers

Its a very good gaming laptop with great specs. Best bang for buck laptop out there right now. Better performance than gaming laptops double the price. Runs Warzone 2 on 1440p very well.

I have had this laptop for a month now and it is fantastic. If you're wondering if it is worth buying open box, I did and it turned out fine. Make sure to look up videos about this model in order to get the best performance out of it. The unit I got had the faster stock RAM, but I am still in the process of adding more RAM to the system. If this laptop is hooked up to an external monitor, it will sit between an RTX 3070 and 3080 when it comes to gaming performance. The only issues I've had so far are the wireless card. At times it will not connect to networks upon waking. Restarting the system fixes the issue. Currently looking to add storage as 500gb is tiny for games today. The different colored ROG tabs on the left shoulder actually make it look pretty slick. Overall I am very happy with this laptop, especially since how quiet it is compared to my last Asus.

Love this machine. It's fast, has great refresh rate, very portable. Only downside on the touchpad but all my previous Asus laptops weren't great in this area.

Got it off a stellar deal. Amazing build quality. Smooth hinge even after a few weeks of use. The 4 zone RGB and the extra table lights make it an eye catcher. Not very portable as it isnt a thin and light. A capable gaming laptop and work horse.

A great daily for playing beamNG and modelling in solidworks, there was an issue with the wifi card that was fixed with a software patch, ram upgrade is a must

Everithing looks good, it is a beautifull laptop, its screen its brightly, and the sound is so clear. I just try LOL for gaming and the fan are a little noisy, but the computer is really good.

quick display easy set up, long battery life, light up keys to see or can change the color or turn them off. best multi tasking computer can run at least 4 programs at once with no issues.. example. cricut design space, microsoft word, photo editor program, and the internet all the same time with no lag or buffering. no errors. runs all the the programs i need and more best option if your looking into using it for editing photos and creating art projects. for schooling and or just for gaming .

This is a fantastic gaming laptop it runs my games great no lag or frame skip . Compact and portable this allows for great gaming on the go!

This is a refreshed model that has a better processor and other changes compared to the previous version. It no longer has the cooling issue that earlier versions had. They've appeared to have resolved the liquid metal issues. For the price I paid (on sale), this is an incredible value. It goes toe to toe with full powered RTX 3080 laptops but has an 8 core/16 thread processor. The build quality is really high end, the keyboard feels great, the cooling is good, the speakers have good detail and the screen is much nicer (QHD). Only recommendation I have is to upgrade the storage because 512GB is kind of light. The RGB lighting is very awesome. I prefer this to the Legion 5 Pro. Those laptops feel very basic and their keyboards don't feel too premium compared to this. It also has, most importantly, a USB-C port that's DisplayPort compatible.

Nice upgrade from Ryzen5. My kid loves his new machine. Graphics is at par with RTX 3080. Got it on sale.

Excellent performance and for much lesser cost than NVIDIA

Pros: Build quality is good. Despite the power it packs it is not a heavy laptop. Sound wise Asus did a great job much more dynamic and vibrant sound effects. Laptop doesn’t heat up much. Cons: Graphics card can’t compete with rtx 3060 even at a higher capacity. Lags in games and has a huge performance drop when ray tracing enabled. Laptop does not have a webcam, bothered me from the start.Some buttons are squeaky since day one. Too noisy in performance mod.
