Customers value the ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition for its exceptional performance and build quality, frequently praising the speed of the SSD and the vibrant display. While some users noted the system can get warm under heavy load and the fan can be noticeable, many appreciate the surprisingly good battery life and consider the price point excellent for the level of performance offered.

Amazing Laptop that will run Linux without issue

I am enjoying this laptop quite a bit. I am an AMD user on my desktop system, so could not wait to get a Laptop with all AMD as well.
This system runs Linux 100% and does it without any issues. All hardware works fine on a kernel newer than 5.19.
Currently, running Arch, but have put other distros on it as well. Zero issues and runs Steam games and games through Lutris amazingly fast - including RT titles! For the price, if you can get it on sale for $1099, its a MUST HAVE!

had GPU driver update issue

Had issues with the GPU driver update. When I updated the driver, I could not play any game because it got really slow. Once I deleted the update, I could play games again, but it kept asking to update the driver.
Anyway, the total tech membership saved me and was definitely worth it.

Excellent gaming laptop. I use it for VR (Quest 2 and now Quest Pro Airlink) and 2D gaming (War Thunder, WARNO, DCS & Elite Dangerous). No issues with the exception that I'm told the fan gets loud (can't hear it with headphones on.)

I would not only rate this laptop poorly, but I would advise anyone in the market for one to avoid asus entirely. I purchased a cheap laptop from them 10 years ago that did well so I tried them again:
This laptop is incredibly bloated with what is essentially malware from asus. Armoury crate is their software they force on you, and lock up your computer with it. Not only can you not uninstall it yourself, but after years of people complaining about their virus they released an uninstall tool - it's broken. After running it the machine is essentially unusable to anyone who doesn't know how to get rid of the malware in other ways. Constant popups opening and closing, it tries to reinstall itself, tons of bloated processes, etc.
Do not buy from Asus.

It’s a great laptop but my only issue is that when playing a game the CPU temp reaches 95 degrees Celsius. I’m not sure if maybe it’s just my laptop or all of them that have high CPU temperatures when gaming

Got this for 1099 on sale and it runs everything you could hope for and more. Factory overclocking plus manual fan control makes it a great laptop for the price. It does get pretty hot, peaking at around 95 degrees for the cpu, so i definitely reccomend getting a cheap laptop cooler if you plan on running it to its max. It can handle even really heavy lods without going into turbo mode, plus performance mode generates less heat.

After a harrowing 6 months with a new desktop tower, I was able to get a credit and got this laptop which was on sale at the time. Best choice ever. I upgraded to a 2T SSD and found that it had the ability to have 2 SSD cards so now the original store all the system stuff and I have the 2T for storage. Very happy with this laptop. I was also able to connect two external monitors, which is like heaven for me.

Great Laptop If You Can Get For $1100.

Snagged this on sale like a lot of people at $1100 before taxes. Had about 2 weeks+ now, mine still came with the slow ram.
Screen - Pretty good qhd screen, no complaints here.
Keyboard - Feels solid enough with rgbs.
Audio - Not the best, but not the worst either.
CPU: Can be 40-60s in silent mode, up to 95 when gaming, depends on the games, if that scares you, get a laptop cooler.
GPU: Comparable to my old 5700xt desktop gpu, can't tell a difference much when connected to type c to display port connecting to 6800m directly. I only tested old games like CS GO, Diablo 2 Res and Path of Exile. It should do better in newer games or so i heard. GPU temps are okay, nothing crazy like CPU temps.
Battery Life: I get about 6-7 hours streaming netflix, crunchyroll, youtube, etc when not plugged in.
Summary: All around great laptop at $1100 price when it's on sale, max ram upgrade is ddr4 3200mhz 64gb and supports gen 3 nvme only (not 4). No issues with random restarts or freezes, update them drivers and bios!
Bonus Review Tip: The 2nd M.2 Slot screw is a little tight, use pliers if you have to, be careful lol

Worst laptop I've owned in over 20 years. Horrible battery life. The charger is huge, runs really hot and constantly 'disconnects' from the laptop causing the laptop to switch between performance and optimal battery mode. Won't boot from sleep mode, doesn't stay on even if it's set to always stay on. Performance isn't 'game laptop' worthy.
