Great aesthetics, decent battery life when using the battery saver. 1440p 165hz IPS screen looks great. Gaming performance is very good, between rtx 3070 and 3080. I would suggest using a manual fan curve when gaming, it might be loud though but will keep temps a little lower. Got it for $1100 on sale, by far the best specs for price.

I bought this laptop on sale at 1099 on November 2022 from 1699 of the original price. With the money I saved I upgraded the SSD with 2 fast 1TB Gen 3 from Sabrent (I have cloned the internal to the first Sabrent and then replace it with another Sabrent for a 2TB total SSD), I replaced the slow stock ram 1Rx16 CL22 with super-fast 2x16GB DDR4 1Rx8 CL20 Kingston FURY (total 32GB) & I also replaced the unreliable WI-FI/Bluetooth card with a fast and reliable INTEL AX210 NGW. All this costed about 400$.All the components I have removed I sold them for used and I made some extra cash for the rest of the upgrades. All the above are super easy to do if you have basic computer skills, 15’ time and a screwdriver. With the remaining money bought also on sale: one ROG Falchion NX 65 keyboard, one mouse ROG Chakram, the AUKEY PC-LM1E 1080p camera and the Creative Pebble V3 Speakers. All the above upgrades and accessories costed less than the discount I got from best buy and I added a few more $ to the ones I made by selling the stock parts for one LG Ultra gear 27GP850-B monitor than is currently on sale at 300$ for a full gaming set up and for bypassing completely the integrated GPU. On benchmarks and on new AAA games this configuration is faster about 25% of the original configuration and faster than a i7 11800H + RTX 3080M laptop that cost about double the original 1699 price of this laptop with smaller SSD and less RAM! Every game run on ultra-settings smoothly as butter. I highly recommend it even on original price at best buy if you are considering buying the Nvidia variation and you will have the fastest laptop out there and a lot of hard earned $ saved.

Amazing laptop with a good balance of size, price to performance. The all AMD took me a while to get used to since I used only Nvidia graphics cards before this laptop, but once everything was updated, the computer ram smooth. Only downfall of this laptop is the brightness of the screen. Maybe it’s because I’ve used screen with 400-500 not brightness, but using this near sunlight was near impossible. Not the usual conditions you’d use a laptop in but if you like to work outdoors, get one with a brighter screen.

For the price, I got it for open box, and some rewards points, under $1000.00 with tax. it's okay and not the highest specked gaming laptop, but for me the best bang for buck gaming laptop within the budget I wanted to spend. I upgraded the laptop right after purchase, I got 64gb of ram and 2tb Nvme SSD for extra storage. I would recommend it at the price I got it for, I couldn't I recommend at full 1599.99 price, but that is me.

Fantastic value... I own both this and the legion 5 pro 3070. This is around 15 to 20 fps faster and way more value. Build quality and screen is arguably better on the legion 5 pro but battery life performance and color accuracy is better on this laptop (99% dp color vs 77% on legion) both have 100% srg color though. The only other reason to keep the legion is for the warranty extension. 169$ for 4 year warranty whereas with this laptop youre stuck with a 1 year warranty.

Perfect for any task!. I upgraded it with an additional samsung evo 7 plus 1TB and 32GB Kingston Fury RAM. It's a beast. Came with Windows 11, nice experience, 1 Month free Xbox game pass. All working so nice. I have installed ArchLinux in the additional disk, all working except using dual monitors with dedicated GPU only, the laptop screen becomes laggy, but this only happens in Linux. In Windows it runs smoothly. Easily upgradeable. Easy to open. I have seen a lot of people opening this device in the wrong way, please follow the instructions given in: https://rog.asus.com/articles/guides/how-to-upgrade-the-ram-and-ssd-of-your-rog-strix-laptop/

    Phenomenal/Optimal For Sims 4!

This laptop was only $1200 after taxes for me after I purchased it on sale, the week before Black Friday. I LOVE THIS LAPTOP so much. For Sims 4, with custom content, both CPU & GPU do exactly what they are supposed to, to maintain ultra-high graphics settings. The screen resolution is *chef's kiss* crisp as well. Create A Sim, Build/Buy Mode, and custom content in the game looks so beautiful and high quality. During gameplay, using mods to enhance gameplay works smoothly. Teleporting more than 20 Sims on the lots using the MC Command Center/Teleporter mods works smoothly, & selecting tasks for Sims just runs a lot better than what I experienced on my old office laptop. I will mention 2 downsides though: I wish this laptop came with a webcam, & 512 GB of storage is not enough. My mods folder is already taking up almost 200 GB of CC package files and I'm losing space fast. On the upside, I know I'll be good to purchase a C920 camera or 4k Brio webcam & be fine + the storage is upgradeable so I am looking forward to modifying that and putting in a Samsung 980 1 TB SSD in the D drive with Geek Squad's help. Even then, the default SSD is pretty fast. I never experienced GEN 3 speeds before, so compared to what I had before, this is waaayy better. 16 GB of ram is more than enough on Laptop mode with Sims 4, but I do experience slight screen tearing on ultra-high graphics & in Blender when working on pose packs, so I am looking forward to upgrading the ram to 32GB when the new year hits. The battery life with regular custom content downloading, Youtube, office work, and other basic things, can go up to 6 hours without needing to plug in the adapter, and is super quiet. Even typing on the pretty LED keyboard is less clicky-clacky compared to the laptop I had previously. I will say, as SOON as you turn on Sims, Discord, or screen recording in-game, be prepared to plug in the adapter within an hour or two. Because once this laptop goes into Turbo mode for performance, it DEVOURS the battery life fast, and you hear the laptop's fans turn on like a jet engine; it gets hot sitting on my lap as well. I definitely need to purchase a laptop cooling desk or something. Overall, this laptop makes me so happy though. It is everything I need and I'm looking forward to doing more with it. I've had it for a month so far and it's my baby. So happy I purchased it! So excited about the future of my Sims 4 CC career & I hope other Simmers find this well and helpful; Definitely worth the buy for Sims, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT GOES ON SALE!

Has a good battery (6-9 while not gaming) and can play any game I throw at it on high and still get decent fps.Only thing i would suggest would be adding atleast a terabyte of storage if gaming.

I currently have my laptop hooked up through the passthrough to an external monitor (USB-C to DP). I have noted no real rushed degradation of the dGPU with temps able to stay stable with a simple laptop cooler just for safety purposes more than anything. The *only* issues I've had with this laptop mainly include Windows installing duplicate drivers so purely software issues outside of the purview of what companies can do. When using the laptop without the external monitor, everything still feels good with no major concerns coming from a person moving from a desktop setup. The keyboard still feels good for a laptop as well as the touch pad with responsiveness. The only issue I do have is lack of USB ports though that is an issue with most laptops made now.

This laptop typically run any game I play with no issues when plugged in. When not plugged in, big games like Warzone may lag a bit. When 3D modeling, the laptop lags, and the program will occasionally crash, but the laptop may only be partial to blame for that as the program crashes occasionally on my 2080 Super desktop. Overall it was a pretty good deal for what the laptop is. I like that it has multiple power options so I can choose if I want the performance or quiet.

The laptop is very solid and swiftly handles heavy workloads such as engineering applications and games. It has an amazing fast display that great for gaming and content creations. Battery life is not that great but I did not expect it to be good since it is a gaming laptop, also it sometimes gets loud even though i am not running anything heavy. But with that price I think it is worth every buck.

This Asus Laptop has converted me. My last 4 laptops were all HPs (and I was happy with them). But now that I own this and see what a true marvel it is. Faster, quieter, and much cooler than my previous laptop, and contains a true GPU. Good: - Liquid metal thermal compound on the CPU & GPU. What a great idea! - Keyboard doesn't get hot (barely warm). Sensors under where the hands rest make sure of this. - Adding a 2nd M.2 drive was a breeze. Instructions from Asus are online. - Most ports available on the back. Genius. Don't know why this isn't common so cords are sticking out from the sides. - Replaceable accent plate on the top left. I changed it for the silver one in the box. I like it better. I read they even have the template online somewhere if you want to 3D print your own. Nice! Bad: - It's about 2x heavier than my last laptop, and the power supply is the size and weight of a brick. Fortunately, I was able to purchase a 100 watt USB C power adapter from Amazon that works just fine (as the laptop can be charged from its USB C port). Plus, I can use it to charge my other devices (phone, watch, ear buds) as needed. Would like to see: Would've like to see a Numpad (I honestly wouldn't use it that much...I just wanted it). Barring that, another row of dedicated buttons for Home End Insert PgUp PgDown More stickers for bling! I will look toward Asus 1st when I look for any laptop in the future.

The laptop is awesome when it works. For some reason certain games trigger a black screen complete shutdown for me idk why,I’ve seen in the internet that is a uncommon thing that need to be fixed with them I believe,I’m not that tech savvy so I don’t really know how to fix it myself, but my geek squad is working on it now so I’ll give a update afterwards.
