While some users noted the system can get warm under heavy load and the fan can be noticeable, many appreciate the surprisingly good battery life and consider the price point excellent for the level of performance offered.

After using this gaming laptop for over a year, primarily for data intensive work (such a shame) I must say it beats out any of my work computers. My only downside is that It does run extremely hot, all the time. This is definitely not a laptop that you want on your lap. It needs extra ventilation. You will want to invest more n an extra fan/stand for it. Specs wise, it runs my games smoothly (fatal frame, stardew, Ark) and I can have large excel sheets open and large publisher files open and it doesn’t bat an eye. I sometimes feel like it is itching for more of a challenge than I can give it.

Excellent laptop, super fast, it can run any game without any problem, the only thing I see is that the battery discharges a little faster than the others in normal use.

After running system updates this laptop has been excellent. The build quality is great, the QHD screen is a huge upgrade over the 1080p panel. Currently runs Forza Horizon 5 on QHD Ultra at ~90fps. My only complaint was that Asus Update had a bug that was preventing the machine from sleeping. Windows troubleshooter resolved the issue.

I have owned this laptop for a little over 6 months now. I have no complaints, This thing is a a workhorse! It handles everything I throw at it with ease, whether it’s running the latest games at highest settings or rendering some animations using 3d studio.

Tried to wait for the black friday sales as my six year old laptop just decided to brick in March. Needed a replacement sooner and this one checked all the boxes. Plus I bought it on a flash sale for $1099.

A banger at the right price. At $1099 you’re not out of the woods yet. You should be considering 1rx8 or 2rx8 memory straight away. These are still shipping with 1rx16 which leaves performance on the table as it doesn’t let the GPU stretch its legs. Stays cool once you realize Ryzen 5k mobile runs spectacular at 20w and cuts thermals 10°C on the CPU and 5°C on the GPU when both are simultaneously loaded with the fans set to max speed when both CPU and GPU hit 65°C. Performing the above and you’ll see little to no gaming performance issues minus a few multicore demanding titles such as 2042 and maybe Warzone. FUN FACT, leaving the factory “slow” memory installed will keep the system running cooler. This is because the hardware is unable to run at its designed potential. Perhaps it’s not a total loss for the right mindset. 100% DCI-P3 color per my Spyder5 Pro. This panel punches above its weight.

Grabbed this on sale. About to go the way of the Dodo bird unfortunately. ASUS seems to have most of their issues addressed by now. Some have reported improved performance with RAM upgrades and running external USB-C displays, bypassing the iGPU which you can't shut off. I did not get any difference in bench results with 3DMark with or with out the USB-C external display. When this benched almost on par with my 5800X3D desktop, I didn't see the need to try different RAM sticks. ABSOLUTELY suggest upgrading storage space. I went with a Crucial P3 1TB. This laptop has space for two M.2 2280 SSD. It's only 3rd gen, so save your money and just grab a 3rd gen. I paid $40 for my SSD.

Great resolution and speed Nice bang for your buck Battery life is short and its bigger/heavier than others. Probably not for someone looking to be very mobile, but for someone using it at home or in a office for a desktop substitute highly recommended

This laptop is a beast for what it costs. It runs pretty much anything I throw at it. I'm able to play the games I play on my custom tower just fine albeit on slightly lower settings. Excellent for those who want something that can game while not breaking the bank.

For the sale price this laptop is honestly unbeatable , quality control can be a concern unfortunately but after looking around and researching so much about laptops i think thats in issue industry wide. So as long as you get one nice out the box you are set i'd say as this things performance truly is a bang for its buck.

Great gaming Laptop. My first one so I’m not sure how to compare it, but I do build gaming PC’s and this laptop is handling all the games I play on my PC. Been grinding MW2 & WOW 6-8 hours daily and I don’t have any issues at all, I forget I’m on a laptop. Let’s see if it survives the test if time, but so far so good.

Games lag hard when it’s on battery no matter what settings I changed on the machine itself or within the game. When it’s plugged in the thing is a beast and does very well. Fan noise is a little loud, but it isn’t a deal breaker considering other laptops I’ve dealt with in the past. I did return it, but that’s just because I don’t want to be tethered to a wall and the compromise of performance to portability wasn’t worth it to me.

      Dear pnwsmalls,

We're so sorry to hear that you had performance issues while running Gaming on Battery power and that you had to return it. We do value our customers and take negative customer service experience very seriously. Please note that while the unit is unplugged
it goes into a power-saving mode in Windows and NVIDIA Geforce. It is required for the adapter to be plugged in to supply enough power to both the CPU and GPU.

Very solid laptop, but sometimes runs high-end games at very low frames. I need to find a fix for this. Other than that, very speedy and good laptop.
