Customers are saying

Customers value the ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition for its exceptional performance and build quality, frequently praising the speed of the SSD and the vibrant display. While some users noted the system can get warm under heavy load and the fan can be noticeable, many appreciate the surprisingly good battery life and consider the price point excellent for the level of performance offered.

The performance is totally good, but insted of pay 1040 for open box with 3 month warranty from store. I should waiting for a 1099 and tax to have 1 year warranty from manufacture.

These laptops are great value for performance! The 6800m is unbeatable value for performance in a mobile platform! The ease to upgrade RAM and storage (dual NVME M.2 gen 3) will get you even more performance! Style with a display with great 2k performance! This used to go on sale for $1100 and is going on clearance so it is not going to be available much longer. While the reviews indicate more than a few users had issues I cannot say that has been my experience. I have bought 3 of these and all were open box, no issues and the prices were on avg under $700. If you get them at or under it is a no brainer!

The laptop is great overall. It is very mechanical, efficient, fast, and customizable all in all. It can answer your needs of smooth performance while using various heavy software.

Love this laptop. It’s still running like a champ today! Kicks butt in graphics processing. I have never gone wrong with an Asus product and this laptop is definitely part of my success with the company.

Really impressed with it’s capabilities. Laptop runs everything just as well has my other laptop. Third ASUS laptop purchased. Needed another laptop that was more portable compared to my Scar 17 i9 12900/3800 Ti and was curious about AMD improvements to their chips and graphics cards. Big Intel and Nvidia fan because most of my rigs and laptops use the two. And Best Buy had this unit priced 300-500 less than their competitors. Best Buy also honored another 100 off because they had the same unit on sale for 100 less the day I picked up my order.

Fast, easy to upgrade, great specs for the price. I admit I am a bit of an “AMD fanboy,” but this is my first AMD based laptop. I’m coming from a reasonably high spec mobile worstation for its time that was finally getting a little long in the tooth. The downgrade to Windows 10, or upgrade, depending on how you view window$11, was relatively painless. Just don’t delete the ASUS recovery partitions and you’ll have all the needed software and drivers to get up amd running. NVME and RAM were a breeze to upgrade. 512g drive and 16g RAM just isn’t enough anymore. There are 2 PCIE v4 m.2 slots and 2 DDR4 slots capable of up to 64g total. I went for 2x 2tb 980 pros and 32gb CL18 RAM. I’ve been using it for hours every day to play games. The only problem I have encountered is the keyboard backlight isn’t working in linux, which I’m sure is just a setting somewhere. I would definitely recommend this. Hard to beat performance per dollar

Great laptop, it runs well, looks nice, has a great built in display. But with one downside, and that is the graphics card’s drivers, this laptop has many issues that I never had with my old laptop which had a Intel 1650ti, such as I occasionally will play fortnite, but now the game will jump constantly between 200fps+ to 30, while only running maybe 45%-65% usage, although on games which aren’t based on the epic games launcher, such as a game I play called BeamNG.Drive it will run amazing, I’m talking maxed graphics on a hard to run game and still getting well over 100+fps on something that I used to only get 50fps at medium settings, so if you plan on getting this laptop to main any epic games launcher game, such as Fortnite or Rocket league this isn’t the laptop for you at the current moment, it may be a better idea to get Intel, but I won’t lie, when I got this Laptop for 1100$ it was a deal as you cannot get the performance out of anything else in this price range, at high settings on Overwatch I would get 240fps constant, and on graphic heavy games this laptop will accelerate beyond others at the price point, and having the long lifespan on a battery allows you to play easy to run games for 2+ hours or watch YouTube or anime for easily over 7 hours, i don’t plan on upgrading any time soon as this laptop does everything I need it to do at a high level, so if you are a huge competitive gamer like me, this laptop is a great idea, just with the epic games exception

Great laptop for gaming and linux work. AMD drivers work flawlessly OTB, run games in proton and in a VM with gpu passthrough and performance is about on par with a desktop 6700 xt, right above a desktop 1080 ti, can you BELIEVE getting power in a laptop like this?

Purchased this for my son as his first laptop and couldn't be more happy. He's young and will never use the full power of it, but it's an amazing machine with tons of potential for a 9 year old beyond Fortnite and Minecraft. The ROG Strix lighting and trim are right up his alley too. He's been using it for over a year now. We've had zero problems and he absolutely loves it.

I haven't had any real issues yet. It stays nice and cool. It plays most games balls to the wall. Most games, I've had to lower the resolution on occasion, but games are getting kind of memory intensive these days.

Awesome. Once I turned off automatic turbo boost, the CPU doesn't reach over 80 celsius, and GPU stays under 75 celsius. The laptop doesn't even feel hot. Batterly life is also good, really useful during college for me.

Overall I am very happy with my purchase. Only flaw I could find is how hot the CPU gets under full load. I’m seeing 97C in benchmarks and no throttling. The deck stays comfortable. Very pleased with my purchase and at $1099, was a steal.
