I did a ton of research and had narrowed it down to a few different laptops. I was looking at a omen which in my experience are very reliable, a gigabyte which was decent priced but still fairly new to the laptop arena then i saw this come on sale for 1099.99 so I ordered it and so far am extremely happy with my choice! It has tons of hidden easter eggs on the laptop which is cool but the performance is amazing. Only issue I had is the storage is only 512gb but does have a spot for a second m.2. I would have made the same decision in the end if i had a choice.

Great laptop, even for open box, amazing condition

I had high hopes after purchasing this laptop, mainly because of the specs. On sale for $1000. Noticed GPU performance issues from the start. The performance overall for the past 2 years, absolutely horrible. Havent been able to get higher than 80 fps on CS2, averaging at 50-60 fps. COD barely reached 60 fps. Runs really hot even with a pair of cooling fan station underneath separately. (I know laptops are supposed to run hot, but 98-99 C???) If I were to give a price based on it being a “gaming laptop” and its performance over 2 years, it’s barely worth $200 as a work/school laptop. If you can buy anything with an NVIDIA gpu or anything other than an ASUS, do it. ASUS and AMD GPUs are terrible.

This laptop works very well for the price point. Enough memory and Ram for most games. Would give it a 5 if it ran starfield with shutting down.

if you know how to deal with tiny stuff, get this because it has its little cons, but noting major. When i first got it i had to deal with graphic driver issues because of amd, and thats pretty much it. havent had any issues in a while. its the worst fingerprint magnet tho

Working great, it does get hot so not a laptop more like a table or cooling table. It also can be loud when the fans are on high. Recommend headphone.

Solid laptop for the price, no webcam included and the warranty seems to not be from the date of purchase, but from the date of manufacture, which cut it down from 1y to 8m for me. Performance is good but the laptop is susceptible to heating due to narrow intake holes on the bottom. I wanted to install another SSD but the preinstalled M.2 screw wouldn't come out without dismantling it.

So far so good. Its running VR with little to no problems and i expect it to get better when i figure out how to use the overclocking features.

I waited almost a year for the 1440p variation to release. Just got it yesterday, and it was disappointing. The fan was extremely loud when idle and there was ridiculous backlight bleeding (see pic). Jarrod's review covered the RAM issues, and the timings are the same as the 1080p version (i.e. this unit comes with slow RAM also). If they fixed the backlight bleed, I wouldn't mind, but it's unbearable. I don't make hasty generalizations, so I'm going to exchange this unit for another and give it another try; but it shouldn't happen on a laptop that costs nearly the same as a car down payment. Also, it comes pre-installed with Windows 11...so there's that.

Greet computer no issues playing all kinds of games with mods etc. Love the colors and keyboard. While gaming computer lasts about 45 to 90 minutes without charger but otherwise amazing.

Pros: High CPU and GPU performance, 12 GB of VRAM, Good build quality, Beautiful appearance, Great sound, Nice keyboard, Low price ($1100) Cons: Screen backlight problems, Keyboard gets hot when playing, High CPU temperatures under load.

Do not buy. Waste of money. This laptop has a good processor and graphics card; however, it crashes when running games. This is an issue on the Asus software side, and it has still not been fixed. I have had this laptop for a few months, and recently, it has gotten worse. I cannot run any games without the laptop crashing and powering off. I am very disappointed in this product and heavily disappointed in ASUS; their customer service has been of no help. They told me to do everything I had already tried, and I even reset the laptop, but the issue still occurred. I am not sure if Best Buy can help with this but it would be very helpful if they did.

Excellent powerful gaming machine! No issues with it so far, Asus drivers and firmware are up to date right our of the box. I would not hesitate to recommend an all AMD Advantage system as long as you don’t have a specific use case to need an NVidia GPU.

Got it as an open box deal from best buy, “like new condition”. Arrived at my house couple days before my trip, and there was a pencil dent and dead pixels in the screen. Took it to my local best buy they said take it to another best buy which has the same laptop in stock and get it replaced. Took it there and they told me they couldn’t do anything about it and refused to replace my laptop without me paying $600 because the laptop model I have is no longer on sale. Fine, it wasn’t a huge deal, so I took it to my trip. Only to discover the thing was overheating so bad during my games it caused incredible stuttering. Removed the heat sink to discover the Liquid Metal was poorly applied and so I replaced it with NT-H2, but it still thermal throttles. But it worked fine for a couple weeks with the fans running at max. Also many other hiccups like faulty wifi card and molasses slow RAM.But for the price I got it for I was willing to let these things slide. Finally, today it gave out. The laptop went to sleep and wouldn’t wake up when I opened the laptop, so I press and held the power button to try to restart it. Lo and behold, it shut down, and refuses to turn on again. I wouldn’t have bought this laptop if I knew i’d be stranded without a laptop on my trip. Now I’m stuck without a work machine and unable to do anything about it as I’m overseas. Truly disappointing!

So far, loving it. It’s fast enough to get all my gaming needs done. Just a warning tho, you have to tweak a few things to make it preform excellent, change those single bank memories to dual bank(big performance boost) and go in to ARMOURY CRATE, and tweak some settings so your cpu isn’t on fire.

Great laptop. I upgraded the ram like many have suggested and i did see a good improvement in performance. Ive not had any problems at all with it so far.

Powerful. I have been using it for two weeks now. Changed the RAM (it came with a Samsung single rank) for a dual rank Crucial 2x16GB 3200Mhz CL22 and added a 1TB SSD (It has a free slot). I don't think we can find something better in this price range. I hope it lasts many years. Serial number on mine starts with MA.
