When it works, this thing is a freakin beast. Runs games flawlessly but it is impossible to play when I get random BSOD and restarts. When I close the lid, it restarts all the time for no reason. I’ve tried several suggestions of updating drivers, rolling them back, standing on my head, everything. I checked the serial number and i have the latest build. I have had enough and am going to go through the return process. This thing is not worth the headache. Very disappointing because I loved this laptop when it worked.

For $1,099.00 or under its good. The massive eyeball :\ and plastic model pieces :\ the screen brightness and contrast :l ok not that good. All Asus gaming laptops are dim. Contrast is weak.

It also tends to overheat plus, the keyboard buttons are weak and prone to crack. I refuse to buy from Asus and best buy again.

All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, and are built to last. It is normal for the laptop, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.
