I’ve had this 2 months now. I use it for working from home, browsing/shopping the internet and some gaming (Civilization 5&6, Runescape, nothing horribly graphic heavy yet). I’m in love with this laptop - I did come from a Dell XPS though, those things don’t last long at all. The Asus graphics are obviously amazing, no hitches on the games I play. Everything runs really fast, load times between turns seem extremely fast on Civ 5 & 6. No wifi issues whatsoever, but Asus doesn’t use the horrible Killer wifi cards that Dell does. Remoting in to my work computer works great, never disconnects, work comp screen shows up perfectly. 2 Annoyances: 1, not changeable, is the number lock on the track pad that turns the track pad into a 10 key. I find I accidentally turn the num lock on a few times a week just from the way I rest my hand on the laptop. Obviously this is me specific and may not bother anyone else. Plus it’s quick & easy to unlock, so a minor annoyance. 2, fixable. This thing ran hotter than hell when I first had it. Hot enough to be uncomfortable on my lap, even when just running a browser and nothing else. I solved this by A) getting a cooling pad and B) changing various settings on the laptop that I found other people recommended when I googled this issue. Can’t remember what exactly, but google is definitely your friend. This thing is super customizable, especially compared to my previous years of Dell, so those more experienced with Asus/gaming laptops should have no issues fixing this. And the rest of us thank you for making the solves available to google lol. Would I buy this again, were it 2 months ago when I was laptop shopping, knowing what I know about it now? Definitely. I highly recommend it, and have recommended it to friends.

This laptop can run games and heavy duty programs, such as CAD software, really well. It functions best when plugged in however, as this allows one to achieve the full potential of the system given its small battery life.

It has been a fantastic purchase for my husband. He is a avid gamer and it runs cyberpunk 2077 at ultra without any drops or lag times.

Not a good machine for a Nomad or Trader.

I'm a trader. I need a fast computer that can run a few data intensive programs in parallel. The computer fans were loud and it constantly ran hot. There was a serious input lag from the mouse and keyboard. It would take several seconds for the computer to respond when keys were pressed. The screen looks pretty under normal program usage and web browsing. However coming from a macbook pro with a retina screen I was unable to deal with the pixelated screen in my trading apps. The machine is slightly larger than other machines with similar screen size. The shell holds fingerprints and shows dust pretty quickly. The battery life is about 1-2 hours so forget about using it on a plane ride. I only had it 2 weeks before I decided to buy something else.
