was deciding between this mobo and a maximus xii hero for my 10700k. Based on tons of hours of research and some reviewers, they said the only difference really was if you absolutely needed 10G LAN, which in my case I did not. Alot of people are deterred from this motherboard because of known problems with the LAN port. Well, i'm glad to say that as of my purchase 2/8/21, I have had ZERO issues with my LAN port. It even gives you a popup upon boot that says it comes with a pre installed LAN and WIFI drivers so you can update ALL via the internet. Mobo is absolutely beautiful and the RGB is prettier than my previous Maximus X hero. 10/10. Would recommend.

This motherboard has been great so far. Easy to use UEFI bios and very well laid out. A lot of functionality for over clocking and fine tuning if that’s something that you want it for

has an extra 4pin connector to the motherboard for overclocking on top of the 8pin connector that's required for the power. this presented me a problem when i tried to boot for the first time as my 850W powersupply from EVGA worth gold 80+ cert wasn't enough with both connected to the motherboard. the second problem was it wasn't registering that i had an ethernet cable plugged in my motherboard, this was easily remedy with using my phone's hotspot through usb-c because it also failed to connect to wifi. So i could download the drivers that didnt come installed. this motherboard is alot more annoying to use than my old z390-E asus motherboard but i had to upgrade when i got my i9-10850k this was also the only option they had in store. overall it's just cumbersome.

Beautiful motherboard . I was debating between this and HERO , decided to try out and not bad . Its a little tricky to start without power button but still great board . It has great software support , boot up faster for some reason with new bios update .Ai overclocking is quite good and more you use it keeps learning the best settings which is awesome . The only cons is that there is no power/reset button on the board , other then that its the best bang for the buck you pay from all Asus motherboards .

    Great motherboard, slightly overbearing aesthetic

I don't particularly like a lot of the gaming aesthetic when it comes to computer parts - I don't care what the innards look like when I'm playing games! That being said, this motherboard does the job quite well and thus I don't mind the somewhat silly LEDs. Built in WiFi was very nice, worked right out of the box and I used it to set up windows then install the ethernet drivers. The heatsink at the top made setting up my liquid cooling radiator a little annoying. Otherwise I would strongly recommend this motherboard.

ASUS boards are usually on my short list when thinking about a new PC Build. This was paired with an i7-10700K for a friend's build. After all was said and done with the build the friend reported that this PC was "my favorite of any PC I've ever owned." The Strix boards are always great mid-tier premium boards when you are making a new build. Room for some OCing, great specs and pretty much all the expansion/ports any average person could need.

    A happy owner, so far

I'm generally happy with this motherboard, since it was very easy to build a system that is working well with an AIO-liquid-cooled 10700K. I have not pushed beyond the automatic AI overclocking provided by the BIOS (3 cores at 5.1GHz or all cores at 4.8GHz) and the VRM cooler does not even have to run. The only issue I've found so far is that my DDR4-3600 memory has to run as DDR4-3200, which is not at all unexpected given that I decided to venture outside the rather limited QVL list. There may still be room for improvement with some manual tweaking and/or future BIOS updates.

A nice step up from my Z290-A board. No dead USB's, a nice manual that details everything that I needed to know. However, I wish the PCIe slot locks were not so tight, or at least could have been slightly wider if and when you need to take out, or replace the Graphics Card. Found myself needing to use a long tool to press it down and I was slightly worried I would hit the board trying to get the card out. However since that's a situational issue.

My previous desktop was over six years old, and while still working, the hard drives were reaching the end of a reasonable lifespan as was the Intel chip, now six generations old, so it was time and I began researching components for my next build . . . The Asus Motherboard covered every need and I trust the band . . . It operates as expected and in six more years I suspect my next Motherboard will be from the same manufacturer. . .

The ASUS motherboard I've had 3 of them so far and have never had any issues with any of the ones I've had in my computer. So, when I saw this board I had to purchase it. There was no other board I was going to buy for this upgrade. It has a lot more features than the previous boards I've had, but that's ASUS. They have made and improved the board better. With the built in WIFI circuit, Whaa!

Huge upgrade to my system when I purchased this along with a i9 10850k. Love the lcd readout for any error codes. Manual was very well laid out and was able to basically build my own pc and had no issues getting it to post and load up. Only downside is the lower rgb panel may not be able to be seen depending on size of your graphics card. Integrates with icue software and matches the rest of my system.

This motherboard is amazing. It took me 14 seconds to turn on my pc And 9 seconds to shut it down. The processor I’m using on this motherboard is the Intel Core i9-10850KA Comet Lake 10-Core 3.6 GHz LGA 1200 125W with 32GB memory DDR4 Corsair LED RGB and one Nvidia GTX 1060 I’ll probably upgrade my memory to 128GB DDR4 and buy two nvidia GeForce 3080 for better rendering and image processing for video editing. The thing is that if I have to do it ... then I’ll need to upgrade my power supply to a Corsair RMx Series RM1000x - 1000 Watt 80 PLUS Gold. I currently have a RM800 series. If you wanna install a windows 10 on a brand new SSD, type in on a google search bar “Windows 10 iSO Download” and it will take you to a Microsoft website where you’ll be able to Download windows on a flash drive. I mean ... to install the OS on a brand new SSD with this motherboard is just a bit tricky. (Not so different from the other motherboards thou) Make sure you’re gonna be getting the New processor i9 10th generation because otherwise it won’t work
