If you want the best this is it. Backlight bleed exists... it's an ips. It's not overly bad but you can see it on a black screen.

Best Gaming Monitor $$$ Can Buy

I have tried dozens of gaming monitors and this is truly the Holy Grail of gaming. This monitor is the prime example that shows why PC Gaming is the best way to game, the 21:9 ultrawide support, coupled with the 3440 X 1440 resolution, G-sync technology and IPS panel combine to produce an unbeatable visual experience, that you simply cannot beat. Buy with confidence. Pros: -21:9 Ultrawide - the extra screen real estate makes a real difference. I play a wide variety of games, including racing games, RPGs, FPSs and third person adventure games, they all benefit from the extra screen real estate offered by the Ultrawide. -21:9 is now ubiquitous, almost every modern game supports it, unlike triple screen resolutions, which are still hit or miss as to native support. -3440 X 1440 Resolution - this is the right balance, at this screen size, 4K is unnecessary, which means your GPU does not need to be top end. -IPS Panel - After years of trying TN and VA panels, I am back to an IPS panel and boy did I forget what I was missing. Colors pop in a way that TN and VA panels simply cannot match. -G-sync - The hype is real, if you want silky smooth gameplay, adaptive sync technology is the only way to go. Once you go G-sync (or Freesync), you simply will never want to go back. -100 hz - The monitor is easily "overclocked" from 60 to 100 hz, which is a nice plus. A higher refresh rate accommodates higher frame rates, which helps with the smoothness of what you see. Coupled with G-sync, a higher refresh rate makes everything unbelievably smooth. -Controls - the controls are on the right side of the monitor and they are very intuitive. I have no trouble navigating the control menus. -VESA Support Included - this will allow you to mount the monitor to a monitor stand or mount, which is what I am doing. I have the monitor mounted to the monitor mount on my Obutto racing cockpit. Cons: -Expensive - I paid $951 for this monitor. Its worth every penny, but its still a lot of coin. -Requires high end GPU if you want to play new titles at Ultra settings. -No HDR - at this price, it would be nice if it included HDR, but its certainly not a dealbreaker.

I must have looked at 10 - 15 other monitors. This ASUS unit had the best balance of SIZE (34" ) , RESOLUTION (3440 x 1440) & FEATURES (G-Sync). I read reviews. I saw that ASUS builds some very good products, the (ROG) RepublicOfGamers units are their best grade! This monitor is VERY compatible with my NVIDIA GTX1070, uses G-sync compatibility and can be overclocked up to 100Hz using the Display Port input. The HDMI input (60 Hz only) works for my XBOX One. There is an easily-accessible on-screen menu that allows switching between the PC and XBOX inputs. Also, the on-screen menu has all the needed controls to customize the monitor features. Underneath and behind the lower front panel are located 4 USB ports, the HDMI & DisplayPort, headphone jack and power-block plug-in. There's a panel cover for keeping everything neat & tidy. The monitor swivels easily, it also allows a minimal tilt and raises or lowers about 5 inches overall. Lowest level is about 2-1/2 inches from desktop to bottom of frame; and about 7 inches to bottom of frame at its tallest. This unit has an EXTREMELY weighty base with rubber-tipped offset tripod feet. Raise and lower is via the central stem which is using a torsion spring arrangement that keeps the monitor EXACTLY as you set it. This is the most stable base I have seen on any monitor. Power; USB to USB port; Display Port & HDMI cables included in box. I've had this now for several weeks and am very pleased with my ASUS ROG Swift 34" IPS LED Curved QHD GSync Monitor.

    Very good gaming monitor

Overall, I am happy with the monitor. Gaming performance is excellent especially when paired with a G-Sync capable video card. My rig is equipped with a 980 GTX SC and I am able to play games such as Doom and Fallout 4 at maximum settings with very good performance. Fallout 4 needed some manual adjustments to support the 21:9 aspect ration of the monitor, but that in no way detracts from the monitor itself. Gaming becomes an immersive experience with this monitor! Also, the physical construction quality is very good! The stand is very well made and quite beefy and heavy. The cutesy little downward projecting ROG light is "on the geeky side of things" but then this monitor is meant to appeal to the PC gaming crowd! Furthermore, viewing multiple documents simultaneously or working with wide spreadsheets is a *pleasure* thanks to the copious viewing area. My wife was green with envy since she develops training and on-line content for a living, and I believe she is plotting to commandeer my monitor during the work week! By the way, did I mention this monitor is *huge*? I have to keep my system tower on top of my desk to provide adequate airflow for cooling, so I had to remove a lot of my desk items to make room for the monitor and I have a 60" wide desk. Finally, there are two reasons this monitor received four stars instead of 5: 1. Some back-light bleed at the corners. It is not obtrusive when gaming and they appear to have made progress in their manufacturing processes; one reason I did not buy this monitor a year ago was due to the number of complaints of substantial back-light bleed at the time. 2. Poor accessibility to the various connectors. They are in a recessed pocket located on the bottom of the monitor which is hard to access especially for someone like myself that has large hands. They are also very hard to see and I found myself having to tip the monitor forward so that I could see well enough to insert a USB cable; very cumbersome! Asus earns points for providing what amounts to a USB 3.0 compliant "hub" along with a connection cable, but the ports are so hard to access that they aren't very usable for day-to-day use with portable USB devices. I plan to permanently install a couple of short USB 3.0 extension cables so that I can actually use the ports. I think that Asus should abandon the current location and provide a separate hub that snaps on to the bottom of the monitor or onto the lower part of the stand (and nix the ROG lighting) so that the ports are usable.

I'm actually coming from a 4k 60Hz panel and I actually prefer this monitor. The resolution is slightly lower, but the extra screen real estate is more useful in most situations. Gaming is incredible, and the support for ultrawide monitors is surprisingly adequate. This panel overclocks to 100Hz with the click of a button and it makes a huge difference. Playing shooters in ultrawide 100 FPS is absurdly satisfying. My only gripe is the stand is obnoxious. It is too large for most desks so i recommend mounting the monitor.

Had this monitor for almost a year. Only Complaint I have is when viewing videos in 16:9, you get black bars on the side. Some games also have black bars in cutscenes as they only support 16:9 ratio. But aside from that, OMG! This monitor is the best! Color accuracy is great by default! the build is sturdy! G-sync is awesome! the size of this thing in desktop range is spectacularly large! the menu controls are easy and accessible! in almost every aspect of this monitor is all A+! I would recommend this to any serious gamer willing to spend the price! its definitely worth it!

I have had this Asus for almost two months now and I love gaming on it. I had a 40" 4K monitor before this one. I could never push 60 fps on the 40" but with a GTX 1070 I get 100 fps second on the same games with this G-sync monitor. For gaming it great but for office work the shorter height and curve is not as good. But I game more then I work on documents at home so this is a better choice for me. Its expensive and this year I think we will have some better choice but for now this is one of the top two widescreen gaming monitors available. I am taking a star away because of the lack of connection options. It should have had at least two display port connections. I don't need the second one now but it would have been nice at this price point to have that option.

I was torn between this monitor and the Acer X34 Predator, however I feel I made the right choice in going with the Asus. Everything about it is perfect. 21:9, 3440x1440, G-SYNC, and 100Hz. This is the best gaming monitor you can buy. Don't hesitate to pick one up if your budget allows!

Now, this is the first ultrawide monitor I've gotten, but this one has got me hooked. This thing is great for gaming; I've played Fallout 5, Sniper Elite 4, No Man's Sky, Ghost Recon Wildlands, etc., and all of them look great on this monitor. I think the only thing keeping me back is my now-outdated GTX 980 Ti card.

I read review after review about this monitor before I finally pulled the trigger. I am very impressed with all of the features that are packed inside of it. Let's work from the outside in: Asus does a great job styling this monitor and using quality materials to make it last. The base is made with aluminum legs that are stable and solid. I enjoy knowing my monitor isn't going to suddenly slip and fall while standing still. Next, the backplate has these detailed etchings that make you feel like you have a Transformer in disguise. There haven't been any robot attacks in my room...yet. Also, there is a light up logo that comes out of the bottom of the base when turned on. It's a bit showy for my taste, but it does set the mood for those late night gaming sessions. The built-in speakers aren't the best I've ever heard, but if you're investing in high-quality peripherals like this I would be hard pressed to believe that you're not using external audio of some sort. Digging deeper: the amount of internal options is mind boggling. From the blue light filter (very handy for reducing eyestrain) to the onboard refresh rate overclock, everything is customizable at your fingertips via four physical buttons on the back and a five-direction joystick. I very much prefer these buttons over a touch activated strip. Also, there are a few perks of the ROG package. You are given access to an on-screen frame counter, a timer, or a crosshair if you choose. The crosshair seems unnecessary to me, but some people might prefer it. To that, I say: "Git gud." Overall, this monitor is great for a gaming enthusiast, a power user who wants a few extra features, or someone with a pocket full of extra cash in search of a new toy. Just make sure your desk has the real estate to handle the screen size.

This is my first real heavy duty Gaming Monitor, it is just amazing, the 100 MHz refresh rate, the features as you have read in the description, well the qwords cannot do it justice. I you can get your hands on one, it is well worth it. Have a wide desk, the stand has a big foot-print, and well you know the width of ot a whopping 34" I love it , thank you ASUS and ROG.
