Wow! My partner and I use Xfinity and before picking up this (and a new modem) we were renting the router from Comcast (which was awful). Constant outage! Added this? Haven't had a issue since! Smooth sailing (and games download faster, playing online with our friends is easier too).

It does everything as advertised. I use it as an AiMesh node. The router interface is loaded with options and it runs like a dream.

This router works perfectly with the asus merlin firmware associated with it. I was able to use this router to connect two other routers and have an efficient and well covered area of wifi set up in my house

Pretty good router for the price. I have 2 of these in a mesh setup and it works great. Better than my old AC1900 router which was only delivering only half the speeds of the broadband.

Bought it to use as mesh set up for my RT-AX58U router to get coverage in my yard and garage. It turned out great, and other smart devices to connect to new router.

So far sooo good. I have the worst wifi at my student apartment and ever since I got this, I have had NO problems! I have a gaming computer that needs fast wifi and it works!! My apartment is about 728 sqfeet.

Needed a boost of plug-ins for my two plug T-mobile 5G modem. Easy set-up, useful phone app, with child safeguards. 5 plug-ins.

The router works very well and easy to set up.i would highly recommend.

What else can i say except, “get it!” This thing solved all my disconnect problems! Also, if you buy another ASUS router it allows for a mesh network set up!

The router was fine for the first week. I updated the firmware to the latest (3.0.0.4.386_45934) and I've had nothing but issues. TP-Link Kasa plugs and certain 2.4Ghz devices were dropping off my network. I turned off Smart Connect and separated the 2.4 and 5Ghz SSIDs. The WiFi seemed more stable. I also factory reset for good measure. Although the devices were more stable, the router would crash and reboot almost daily, killing my internet connection. Some of my Google Nest cameras now have issues uploading footage and showing live view. I'm going to downgrade the firmware, which is a very tedious process, and do some more testing. I recommend going for the RT-AX56 or higher model so you can install the custom Merlin firmware. The stock firmware is pretty garbage and full of bugs.

This router is a brand we have stayed with. Works great and easy to set up!!

Has better range than my old router . Definitely works better throughout the house. Easy to set up.

App is nice and works great; increased my speeds above what i pay for!

Its honestly like they reduced the range so you would forcefully get the “mesh” system. Does ok if 1 story home around 1400sqft. Wouldnt recommend for a 2 story home or more sqft home.

Very fast, and easily customizable. The Andriod app is great.

This replaced another older router that was starting to drop out. It is ok and the set up wasn't that hard to do. I do not believe it is any stronger than the other router that it replaced but it works fine. It is being used at a non-profit in a 16000 square foot mostly open area similar to a warehouse.

Decided my older Asus router was overdue for an upgrade (I've had it for many years, with a generally positive experience), and went with this one. Terrible mistake. A little over a month after setting it up, I woke up one day to find it non-functioning, wireless or wired. Even with hard reboots, the router would only work for a few minutes before crashing again. I assumed it was the internet at first. Logged into the router during its few minutes of hard reboot functioning via ethernet, once I was certain my actual internet was fine, and found all manner of errors in the router logs from the day it failed. I tried turning off firewalls and tweaking other things to smooth things out, but nothing helped. I've only owned one router in my life with a lifespan as short as this one, and I don't do anything particularly fancy with my routers that would strain them. I've plugged back in my still-functioning older router and will continue to use that for now, I guess, while I search for a better router replacement. I'm immensely frustrated this one failed so soon after it can no longer be returned, so my wallet is burned with nothing to show for it, money I could have put towards a router that actually works.

So I bought two of these to expand my Wi-Fi signal and to use it for direct plug in for video surveillance system and it works pretty good.. I've used Netgear for years and decided to shift over to asus and asus has been working great for me
