Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went to the Geek Squad because my previous adapter had broken He showed the adapters and recommended this one. I specically said that I did not a working internet connection , He said this product comes with a usb device to load the driver. NOPE. The USB driver device did not work. I spent an hour online with ASUS to fix the problem. Downloaded the driver file to my phone and then transferred it to desktop. My computer is ten years old. Maybe that is why it didn't work. Simp-le Plug and Play was a failure with device.

Slower than my built-in Wireless Card
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently invested on a WiFi 6e router, which significantly increased my wireless signal and speed. This led my to believe that, by buying this ASUS 802.11ax dongle would speed-up my laptop. However, it actually significantly decreased my internet speed. This Asus WiFi 6 dongle could only produce a download speed of 215 mbps and 34 mbps on the upload side. Meanwhile my built-in 802.11ac wireless card gives me a download speed of 299 mbps, and an upload speed of 239 mbps. Do not buy this product!

I Do Not Recommend This Adapter

I installed the driver and plugged into USB3 port. To my amazement, the wifi speed is literal garbage with frequent disconnections. My 8 year old laptop's wifi performs better than this. I am considering returning this.

Doesn’t work
