    Decent low budget PC

Budget friendly PC that can handle day to day task. I believe it is a typo from Best Buy, it states 1600x768 resolution but it is actually 1366x768 resolution. RAM is expandable, has a total of 8GB from factory which consist of 4GB soldered and 4GB RAM stick which is replaceable with 8GB RAM for a new total of 12GB. Storage consist of 128GB M.2 PCIE that is also expandable with a 2.5" Hard Drive Disk or Solid-State Drive but will require an HDD ribbon connector (not included) Realtek WiFi card is not the best but can be upgraded. Has decent amount of ports included but does not have an ethernet port. Best Buy states that graphics is Intel HD Graphics 500 but the sticker shows AMD Radeon graphics which is Vega 3 that is integrated on the AMD Ryzen 3250U Can run low end games especially with the RAM & Storage upgrade.

For the price, you are getting a very fast laptop, with good RAM. The weird thing is that windows 11 has a built in "secure mode" that basically acts like an attempt to force you onto it's ecosystem. I realized this while trying to insall Chrome. It's easy to remove if you have basic know how on computers, but might be dificult for people not very tech savy.

My old laptop of 2 and a half years started messing up. So I decided I needed something quick and decent. This Asus laptop is the best, it’s super fast and can handle gaming really well. I was shocked and surprised at what it can really handle. Hopefully I can get a storage pack for it soon.

Pros: + Price + Speed + Wi-Fi connectivity + Lacks typical bloatware Cons: - Cheaply made - Screen resolution - Windows 11 S-mode First, this laptop is not a gaming laptop despite the AMD Ryzen-series CPU associated with it. It might handle low-level gaming on a limited basis, but I would certainly not recommend for any mid-to-high tier gaming. Battery life appears pretty good, but I have not tested it fully to know the real-world metrics. For the price, however, this laptop is very good. Usage should be limited to web browsing, e-mail, Microsoft Office, or other low resource activities. The PCIE internal storage is very quick, albeit a little low on the overall storage capacity, although an expected side effect of the price. The Ryzen 3 CPU is plenty fast enough for all your basic computing needs, and the marrying of the Ryzen 3 with the internal AMD Radeon on-board chip works well together. The wi-fi adapter is also very good for a super budget-friendly laptop. The last two computers I purchased for under $250 could barely muster 20 Mbps on a great day, however, this laptop easily hits 50 Mbps. Because this system is super budge friendly, do not expect high-quality on the shell or keyboard. The system casing is made of cheap(ish) plastic, and the keyboard is rather noisy for having appearance of the much quieter chicklet keyboard. Also, the monitor's screen resolution is 1366x768, below what is advertised, but again, it's a budget-friendly system so you should not expect 4K graphics with 120 fps. Also, for the size screen, 1366x768 resolution is probably appropriate for the average user. Finally, and this is not necessarily a knock on ASUS, but the system does come with Windows 11 S-mode active. What that means is that the system will only run Microsoft-verified and vetted software similar to the way Apple verifies software on its products. Depending on what you want to use the laptop for, this can be either good or bad. If you only use the computer for Office and other basic activities, S-mode helps prevent viruses and malware better than the "unlocked" version. However, if you want to use 3rd-party software that hasn't been vetted by Microsoft, then you'll have to unlock the S-mode. Once unlocked, S-mode cannot be re-enabled though, so it is a one-way ticket. For those wanting a nice budget laptop for every day, basic computing needs, this laptop is plenty and highly recommended. For entry- to mid-level gaming or high-processing applications, you will want to front a little more cash.

This is your next budget PC! Read the below and then go to "the Good Stuff" section: Okay let's get the bad out of the way: Screen is only HD 720p level not 1080p Keyboard is eh...don't buy this if you going be typing a lot (or buy a good keyboard) No Micro SD card slot if you want it Speakers are okay not high end "The Good Stuff" The Ryzen 3250u and Vega 3 graphics are solid for the price (this isn't a Ryzen 5/7 now) but for basic day to day this computer is WAY better than the 4GB base model computers for the same price. I use it to edit and export 1080p and 4K videos for YouTube, and here's the secret to get 20-30% faster performance for free - buy a 16GB RAM stick for it and boom free performance upgrade! Windows 11 recognizes the RAM and you now have 20GB to work with (and 20-30% faster performance that I confirmed on Cinebench). The battery is decent and with web browsing/watching YouTube it lasts a few hours. Not 100% sold on Windows 11 but it's Windows so... Again this is WAY better than anything else in this price point - there's videos on YouTube of Cyberpunk 2077 running on this chip/Vega 3 as well.

The keys are too hard to read with no backlight and it processes from page to page very slowly and crashes at least once a day. Color is not great and you can barely hear any sounds coming from the speakers which is the worst part for my ZOOM calls. Returning to the store IMMEDIATELY!

On the contrary, lots of satisfied customers, having positive experience using the product, will agree with that it is a decent laptop. It runs popular computing applications, without compromising system stability and performance as long as Windows is up to date.

This is a really great laptop for the price - which I snagged for right about $299! With the 16Gb, it is plenty zippy, even though it has an entry-level AMD processor. In fact, I wouldn't know that it was so entry-level tech based on performance. It is small, super light-weight and extremely portable. So far, it's been problem-free, quick and easy-to-use. Highly recommend for basic use, schoolwork, children or older individuals who aren't using any apps that are GPU-/CPU-intensive and don't need a lot of on-system storage.

It's a very good laptop, I'm actually very impressed with it! Pros: -Fast -Lightweight -Nice screen -Good battery life -Great price -Fits easily in a backpack Cons: -Your mileage may vary, but it has no home/end keys on the keyboard. I use them regularly, so this is a little annoying, though not a dealbreaker.

So far, this laptop has satisfied all our granddaughters requirements. As a college student, she needed a laptop that was light enough to carry from class to class in a backpack, but large enough to be able to be able to easily type and a screen resolution that offered good graphics and that was easy to read. She was even able to access and play without any issues one of her favorite online games. So far battery life seems not to be a problem. The configuration of this ASUS laptop is outstanding and a great value for the amount paid. Also, I purchased it through the Best Buy website. 5 stars for this process. It was easy from locating what I was looking for to the placement of the order. We received the computer in excellent condition and on the day promised. I strongly recommend Best Buy and this model ASUS Laptop
