I just found out this laptop do not support iphone tethering via USB port, it only works via wifi. tethering via wifi is slower than via USB port. So Think twice befor you buy this laptop. I have contacted Asus tech support, they does not know which Asus laptop will work.

I'm a retired computer engineer, very hard to satisfy. Looked long and hard to find a replacement for my 7 year old ThinkPad. Decided this was the best quality for a reasonable price. Needed power for photo processing. This one delivers.

Asus did an amazing job with the vivobook flip, I love this laptop!! it's sexy, sleek, and lightweight, just what I needed. But, one thing I didn't like is where the finger sensor is located. could have found a better spot for it. otherwise, this machine is great so far. Best money spent at best buy.

Good size. It was a little slow when I first started using it but after a while it got better. Really like the touchscreen and Asus pen.

    So many bugs

Possibly one of the worst laptops I've ever seen. At first impression the laptop looks nice and has a nice feel to it but once turning it on that's where all the troubles began. The computer is extremely slow and laggy. Disk usage is always at 100% no matter what you do. The laptop crashed on me multiple times before I could even get a chance to log in. The laptop even crashed when the software that was preloaded on the laptop tried to boot. I've never had this much aggravation with any kind of computer before.

      Dear Spiffi,

I do understand your disappointment if you are experiencing slow system speed or performance and 100% disk utilization with the laptop. These issues are temporary during the initial WINDOWS setup and before installing cumulative WINDOWS Update, regardless what brand name of computer this may be. This may take a longer time depending on the network traffic from the update server and the stability of your high-speed internet service. Once initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. In order to maintain optimum system stability and performance, cumulative WINDOWS Update needs to be installed periodically. If you are accessing web applications, please make sure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance. Also, clearing internet cache or browsing history will improve system performance. If you need further assistance, please email me at [email protected] and I would be happy to help.

Thank you for choosing an ASUS product.

      Regards,

      Rodel

Run Run Away!! No SSD drive and slowest computer!

Probably the worst computer I've ever owned. I thought it being an i7 core and 1 TB Hard Drive it be a decent little computer but it lacks in speed. I've wiped this computer a couple of times and it is still the slowest computer I've ever had. I had problems with it when I first bought it and I should have returned it but I was dumb in thinking it just need some kinks worked out. Found out this computer doesn't have a SSD at all.. So I guess I'll either install one (youtube it) or sale this and buy a better computer. But all in all this is a horrible computer for the $800 price tag.
