Previously purchased a competitors AC router, Had issues with it crashing and having to reboot several times a day. Once I plugged in this router, set it up, cured all my issues, been over a month and have not rebooted, still running strong. If your looking for a plug and forget router, you should definitely get this one.

This router worked for about 6 months, then the signal started fading and I was logged out and wasn't able to log back in via the app. I've reset this router about 30 times and it still doesn't gain back the connection it had I the beginning. I purchased the extended warranty but now I don't think the router is worth it anymore

I've had the ASUS AC1750 for one month now. Its performance has exceeded my expectations. My previous router was a 10 year old Belkin N router. I didn't understand my Internet performance was poor because of my router. Switching from N to AC 5 GHz was like night and day when streaming video. The list this router offers is extensive. It has two USB ports one is 2.0 and the other is 3.0. These are used shared network hard drives and network printing. What I didn't know is that this router can be a VPN tunnel. I now run total network encryption. I also use VPN software on my laptop so I am running a tunnel within a tunnel. Also it can be a VPN server as well if you want to connect via VPN tunnel from remote locations. It allows MAC cloning so you can get a new IP address from your ISP. The wireless range and speed are fantastic. I'm not a gamer so this unit is perfect for my needs. I have nothing bad to say about this router.

Easy to set up and works well. I use this for my travel router but it would work well for a home or office. I have a higher end Asus router in my home and this router has most of the features the higher costing model does. I am able to use my work VPN through it, I can stream movies to several devices simultaneously using medium level Comcast highspeed internet. We are connecting both Mac Book Pro and PC Notebooks through this router with no problem. We are also connecting our smart phones to the internet with it. I am able to use clear phone calls using voice over IP, Skype or Ooma remote phone calls and have been able do Skype video conferencing and Cisco WebEx meeting through this with no problem. If you have a good broadband highspeed internet connection, hooking this router to it should give you good results. I have done speed tests and achieve 30 meg download and 5-7 meg upload speeds wireless and that is being only limited by my broadband service, if you are paying for higher bandwidth you could do better. This is a good router, you can set up two dual band networks for your own use and even set up a network for guests in your home. Signal strength seems good and it has 3 antennas. There are also 5 RJ45 wired LAN ports if you want to hook up devices with wired CAT5. There is a USB connector so you could hook up a USB drive and I believe there is a USB Port to hook this to a Printer, but really most printers today come with wireless but the option is there. Really good router that is serving me well so far. I would recommend this router to friends.

Finally upgraded as my N series router kept dropping and needing to be reset plus coverage was awful up to my master suite. Speed for those on the main two levels of the house are lightening fast, finally utilizing he cable data upgrade to 50mbs. Still get fluxuating signal strength in the 3rd level master but I switch btwn channels. I didn't optimize priority as my teen set it up, imagine he set himself as priority. I am sure there is no issue getting a signal way out poolside with this unit. I do need to get into the interface and change that as mom here deserves priority over the multiple gadgets or teens in this house...Xbox One, Wii, min 4 cell phones, 3 laptops and 1 pad grinding away all hours of the day and night. LOVE the guest access feature! If I could have afforded it i would have gotten a unit with even more range/antennas but $400+ wasn't in the budget. This unit is capable of way more than my 50lbs of my cable plan. I really don't have to deal with buffering at all with this router except when all the teen bandwidth hogs are going full tilt. I am on FB, Google searching and YouTube a ton when home when the teens are bogging down the system and I really can't complain often.

I like this Asus router. This is a second one for me. I have this one connected as access point. It is super easy to set up and once completed i had no issues with loosing signal in my house. Router is set up on main floor and my second router which is now an access point is on the second floor. More electronics using 5Ghz for super fast transfer speeds these days. I have some equipment connected to 2.4Ghz and some to 5Ghz. Speeds of this dual band router are fast and steady when tested and have no complains so far.

Plug and play. Generic term but super easy setup. All you have to do is plug in the power cable. Plug the data cable (Ethernet) into your modem and turn it on. The set up is easy. It finds the ip automatically and all you have to do is name it and create a password. The hand-manual is easy to understand and it comes with pictures. I would recommend this product for anyone who want a small form factor router but doesn't want to compromise on speed or range.

I'm using this in a small office (2000 square feet) where my previous router, a netgear, struggled to push through the walls. This one has a great signal and the setup was really straightforward. In fact I am on the sixth floor of a very stout building and my signal reaches over a block away. The speed is consistent and it just works. No complaints. I lap though the price was very fair compared to other offerings.

    AC1900P vs AC1900U

I've been using the Asus RT-AC1900P for about a month. Setup was straight forward and quick. I've found the range to be better than anything I've used before. I'm able to maintain internet streaming while I leave the house and walk to the park across the street. One thing that confused me at first was the fine print in the specs saying this was a model AC1900P. I though it might be an older model but after doing some searching on the internet I learned this is a model exclusive to Best Buy and has some upgrades over the more common AC1900U. Confirm these for yourself, but from other reviews and marketing materials, the P has a 1.4GHz clock speed vs 1.0GHz clock on the U. Both have 256MB RAM but the P has 258MB Flash while the U has 128MB Flash. Both have a Broadcom CPU; the P is the 4709C chip and the U has a 4708A chip. The radios are the same but they have different 5GHz amplifiers.

I purchased this router because I realized my previous router wasn't powerful enough to take full advantage of the 100Mbps connection plan I got from my ISP. After setting up this router, my Internet speeds doubled. But any newer router would probably have a faster processor. What sold me on this router was its solid preview reviews, its stability, it's signal coverage, up-to-date firmware updates from ASUS and the parental control features. This router has an expansive feature set and granular control, most of which I don't need but it's there if you ever did.

Very easy setup. One really good feature is that it can be used as a pass through. Just plug the existing router into a LAN port on this one. BAM! Instant signal extender. Works well as a primary router. That function also has an easy setup. Plenty of options and configurations to really customize your home or office network. Accessible from an Internet browser or Asus phone apps. The user interface lays everything out that's easy on the eyes and makes sense. It could be that I work in IT, but Asus has made configuring this router fairly easy for those without IT knowledge. Though, some know-how may still be required.

Router Works Consistently - Easy Set up

The main thing was to find a router that maintained a strong signal and was reliable for unattended use. This Asus dual band replaced another brand that I tried and returned that didn't meet that need. It was easier to set up and continues to work great.

I bought this router because our comcast modem is in our basement, and our bedroom is two floors above that. Previously to using this router, me and my fiance were using a timecapsule from Apple, which was great for her, since she uses a Macbook Pro, I, however have a high end gaming laptop and when I am in the bedroom I can barely receive the 5GHZ Range signal, while she gets a full 3 to 4 bars. After setting this up and simply hooking her timecapsule up to the Asus Router, she still gets the same speeds and connection quality as before, however, now I also get to enjoy the 5 GHz Signal at almost full reception which makes a huge difference for me and the work I do on my laptop. It is a great product, easy to set up, and if you know a little bit about networks, and feel safe in going into the deeper settings of the router, then there is a lot that can be done with this router. mind you, at any given time, wem now have 2 Chromecasts, a Macbook Pro, my Laptop, as well as my Xbox One S running and using our WiFi and not once have I had any problems with lag or interference at all.

Cut the cord on cable so I needed a wireless router to handing streaming video to 3 TVs. The Asus handles everything plus two laptops with no lag at all. Setup took less than 10 minutes and covers the entire house (2200 sq. ft. on one level) I would recommend this router to everyone.

Prior to this router, I was using an Apple AirPort Extreme. Being an Apple household I was initially a little concerned about introducing a non Apple device into the mix. Boy do I feel silly. I should have bought this router a long time ago. The QoS settings alone are so valuable! I also found the ASUS router to be far more reliable. I had to reboot my old router daily. This one is solid. I never have to reboot it. If I wanted to, I could schedule a routine reboot which is absolutely amazing. File transfers are lightning fast. My only gripe is that it doesn't support Time Machine backups through an attached USB drive. I solved this by attaching the old AirPort Extreme to the ASUS router and just letting it be a network device that's sole responsibility is to serve up the Time Machine drive for my Macs. A little silly, but it works wonderfully.

Good range and strong signal. Nice to have the dual band but the Internet cuts out randomly quite a bit. A reset solves the problem 99% of the time but I've only had it for about two months and I've already had to do a reset 10+ times.

This was a replacement for a Netgear router. The Netgear router was trouble from installlation. No matter what customer support did it didn't help. So Best Buy was helpful in taking back the Netgear. One of the store associates helped me and i chose the Asus - Wireless-AC Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router - Black router. I was immediately taken with this unit. It basically installed intself, with a little help from me. But has been ROCK SOLID since i installed it. No issues whatsoever. I haven't had to call tech support. And i noticed an instant improvement over previous routers.

I've used an Apple Airport, as well as Netgear, Lynksys and Cisco routers in the past. Most recently, my Cisco router went even after reflashing the device, I couldn't get the speeds I used to. With this one, I've gotten even better speeds than I had previously and it was as easy to setup, if not the easiest yet. Highly recommend.

I've had a few routers over the years , the last one was considered the top of the line at the time. But unfortunately after just a few years , it just wasn't doing the job anymore. After comparing several on the website and a quick call to my son , I decided on the ASUS and boy am I glad I did. The last router barely ran 2 iPads at the same time if you were streaming a movie . Now we can run everything in the house , with no delays, iPads, phones, grandkids "iPads" and even my Amazon fire stick works now!! Yay!! I couldn't be happier, it was super easy to set up and only took a few minutes, if the need arises I will certainly buy another ASUS router
